Sam I am.
I'm familiar with maybe...three, four, maybe five professional gamers, and, not to be rude or anything, Maynard isn't one of them. Also, I really didn't play the original Starcraft.

That's why you aren't familiar with him

But still. Even if I did play the original, I probably still wouldn't know Maynard.

I'm looking for an Ethernet router so we could attempt multiplayer. I want to make this one of the first things we do in the Spring semester because we've been talking about it forever. Once I get comfortable with local settings on my own network, I'll see how much of that applies to UTEP and start figuring out if this needs to be a wired connection.

You, sir, are my newest hero!

I am looking forward to seeing if the group takes to this because if we do it opens so many doors, among them a pc head 2 head Need for Speed completion and first person shooter games with more then 2-4 people in the mix.

Matt, that could work wonders. Cause the solution I have with creating our networks is really unstable and sometimes results in a lagfest. Specially since the multiplayer for starcraft 1 isnt that stable.

I know absolutely NOTHING about setting anything up with Starcraft (much less playing it still), but it's worth a shot. I'm trying to look around the net for a 4-port switch to see if we can directly link for a LAN or if we need to settle for Internet connections. Hopefully not the latter...I've gotten through UTEP's firewalls a few times, but they seem to be getting better every semester.
