"Yea..." Tharien responded in a whisper, his right hand coming up to trace the thick line that marred his cheek due to the explosion, the line that would forever mark his face. He thought that would have bothered him, but truthfully, it seemed apt, he would never be able to forget the destruction of Majharn and the part he played in it, not with a permanent reminder etched on his face. He would not make the same mistake twice, that was for sure.

Holding the boy tightly as he cried, Tharien felt Aerendis leave the bed, and heard the sound of the Paladin's armour being moved around. The wizard waited until the child had calmed down before getting up himself. He could have conjured a new robe for himself, but it just didn't feel right just yet, the singed, ripped and stained tunic and light pants were better suited to the location and the emotion he felt.

The boy simply watched as he stood and stretched, looking around the tent he had created, it wasn't too shabby to be honest. "Come child, let us great the new day with dry eyes and an open mind" he said as he picked the young Eladrin up and settled him on his hip, the child seemingly content to not say a single word.

Walking out of the tent slowly, the wizard looked around, Aerendis had just finished putting on his armour, and all around the impromptu camp that he had created other survivors of the explosion were moving around, though most seemed to still be resting. Moving over to one of the still laden tables of food, Tharien began offering the boy on his hip several things, knowing that a child would have more need of food than he.

He couldn't help but wonder what would happen next.

Making sure his belt was tight and that he hadn't put anything on backwards the paladin made his way over to Tharien staring intently at the boy. It was the first child he'd seen in a long time and maybe actually the first ever considering how protective elves were. Not long after the Tiefling woman from before approached them with a three finger salute before displaying a curtsy and a deep bow.

"What's she doing?" Aerendis whispered quickly to Tharien as she began to address them with all finger tips touching in front of her chest as she rose.

"Aerendis and Tharien no doubt it is you who stand before me. I had secretly hoped the portent of my dreams would never come to pass but now that it has I've only one request. My dreams have depicted you as travelers of the sort and I would like to join you. Though it is irresponsible of me to take the mantle of restoring Majharn my dreams have lead me to believe by following you I will one day come across something that will allow me to do so."

The paladin merely scratched under his ear in response looking nervously between Tharien and Ea then began to speak to him in elvish.

"Why is she talking like that? her eyes are weird..."

Silently she waited with utmost respect and the fiery orbs that were her eyes flared almost as if they'd been sensitive to the comment.

Tharien's grip on the young Eladrin tightened imperceptibly as the tiefling woman approached them, though he had told Aerendis not to worry about her before, now he was cautious, instinct to protect the child on his hip kicking into overdrive.

"You know, its a bit hard to look favourably on one who speaks my name without ever having been introduced" he said calmly, surreptitiously turning slightly to remove his self imposed charge from her direct line of view, his eyes locked on the gesture of her hands "and dreams make that even more disturbing...." the small wizard trailed off, before turning to face Aerendis.

"I've seen weirder eyes...there's no point being too concerned, she wouldn't have lasted the night if she was any threat to our people, so we should at least give her the benefit of the doubt...though I'm not sure what she's doing..." he said in rapid elvish, facing the female tiefling again, trying to control his facial features.

"And you have us at a disadvantage, you know who we are, but the reverse is not true"

"You speak as if my actions are of malice however if I were here to cause you grief I wouldn't have approached you as such besides your names are not all I know."

In the presence of Eladrin she turned her head for a moment as if contemplating something the tips of her fingers becoming white with the pressure she applied never letting her hands part. She'd known elves never to have the patience to learn what the action meant but habitually practiced it anticipating ever involving herself with other Tieflings.

"I am Ea the estranged Fey dwelling merchant of Majharn. My business has been brought to ruin as has my very life and all that I am asking is for aid in finding a new meaning. If you still doubt me I will beg for your compliance without hesitation."

Aerendis was contemplating her words and was used to being known of before introducing himself as it happened a lot in his life though he knew Tharien was quite abrasive when strangers said his name. His arms folded his fingers drummed along his breastplate as he spoke to Tharien.

"You know Tharien it's quite clear this place was important to her. We can at least afford to help her and that boy."

Bringing the star from it's pouch he watched it shimmer not wanting his gaze to fall on anyone else's at the moment. He thought briefly but deeply about his standing as a paladin not noticing the looks and gathering of other Eladrin who noticed it's shine.

"That you know more unsettles me greatly" he murmured to himself in elvish, not wanting to annoy the woman right now, the last thing the people here needed was another fight, and he had the weight of the dark haired boy on his hip urging him to be cautious.

"I mean no ill, it is simply unsettling to the highest degree" he said to her, his common lilting and a little rusty due to lack of use. He contemplated Aerendis' words, knowing that his companion wouldn't abide by someone who would be a threat, besides which, for the larger male to have changed his opinion meant that he was picking up on something.

"Do as you please" he said somewhat dismissively as he felt the boy squirm in his grip, turning away he began whispering to the small figure he carried, smiling slightly every time he got a response. Aerendis' mention of the boy had reminded him, and so, with a brush of his hand against the Paladin's shoulder by way of farewell, he wandered the camp in search of the child's parents, trying in vain to see if they still lived, though with every person he talked to, that hope seemed less and less.

"It was probably better for you not to say that Ea as bluffing about such a thing will get you nowhere with Tharien. I guess you've done well enough to gain admittance to our journey."

Sliding the star carefully back into the pouch as he spoke he wandered after Tharien to see what he was up to but made a note to remain near the Tiefling who'd broken her hand symbol now walking quietly behind the paladin. He studied her and again their eyes met causing his gaze to break away suddenly, something about her bothered Aerendis but he wasn't quite sure what it was.

The civilians of the camp who previously assumed Aerendis to be some minor warrior now cleared the way for him hushing elven whispers as he walked by. It was odd and he didn't like it not feeling worthy of their religious quotes and mutterings but in dire times the people always looked for some beacon of hope, what better than one connected to a god.

Many of the surviving and capable soldiers were already looking for other survivors the squads of searching men now returning to the camp carrying many wounded.

"Tell me more of this dream Ea and why it has caused you to approach us."

"It was as you said I know only your names and that you'd be involved in this day. My reason for deciding to follow you is purely of my own volition though I'm to guess tonight's dream sequence will answer that for me."

Tharien ended up back near their tent after maybe half an hour, having absolutely no luck finding the child's parents, or even anyone who knew him. He couldn't even think to ask anyone to take him in either, there was absolutely no way he would request that anyone take care of his new charge, they all had too much to worry about.

He had managed to pick up a few followers as they went along, having offered to look after the younger Eladrin who had survived, allowing the parents to begin working on making the camp more permanent, gathering food and water, and generally getting to work to be ready to move on at the least. They had been wary of the offer at first, but the wand tucked into his belt usually reminded him that this was the young wizard whose power had given them food and shelter for the night.

The others that had offered to help him with that met him near an empty place in the centre of the camp, they would go around and get the parents to bring the younger eladrin here once he was ready for them.

Placing his charge on the ground for the first time since they had gotten up, Tharien begun to chant lowly, performing the same ritual that summoned the camp on a much smaller scale. Soon an enclosed area with a few open tents and a number of things to entertain the few youngsters he had come across. Eladrin children were rare after all, and he couldn't help but wonder how many had perished...he would never know, as their parents would not likely have lived through the event.

The helpers brought the youngsters into the protected area, and with a small nudge Tharien made his charge enter too. Kneeling down to the boy's eye level, he spoke softly but confidently "I'll be back very soon, I just have a few things to do, promise" and with that he kissed the boy on the forehead and walked off towards the edge of the camp where he had seen soldiers working, bringing wounded in leaving an eye of alarm near the 'daycare' to alert him in case of an emergency.

"You're the one who made the camp right?" one of the soldiers said as he approached, seemingly already knowing the answer as he continued, "Do you think you could make us a larger tent for the wounded?" his brusque tone irritated Tharien, but the young wizard had come here specifically to help, so he bit down on the emotion and with a bit of a twist to the ritual summoned up a large tent filled with beds and whatever medical equipment he could think of as necessary.

"Go get your superior, I have something else to offer to the effort, since I am otherwise occupied to be able to help personally" he said cooly, enjoying the look of annoyance that passed over the guard's face, but soon enough another Eladrin was brought to him. After a few minutes of hushed discussion between the wizard and the warrior, Tharien held his arms wide and began chanting, an arcane diagram appearing on the ground at his feet, as four portals appeared, two on either side of him. Out stepped four large reptiles, the saddle and bridles on them giving away their purpose, they were fairly low to the ground, with legs that would allow them to cling to almost any surface, making them invaluable for travelling over the brocken island that was once Majharn.

Taking a few minutes to center himself, he summoned another four of the large lizards, giving the guards 8 to do with what they will, for as long as he could keep them here. That done, he headed back to the 'daycare center' and spent considerable time with his new charge, keeping the dark haired boy entertained and keeping a close eye on the other children.

"So you're a merchant you say."

Aerendis spoke figuring he might as well make conversation with Ea while his other companion ran around helping as best he could. The paladin really didn't feel there was much he could do at the moment so he sat near the newly constructed child pen joined by the Tiefling.

"I was a merchant and I expected to live out my days as such untethered by the curse of my kind."

Nodding while she spoke he felt her sincerity next to her dark aura but his thoughts on the matter were broken as he noticed the small gathering around him speaking of Corellon asking why he didn't help Majharn.

"I can't answer that for you but I imagine he wouldn't have created us with the intent of babying our kind."

Ea merely folded her arms into their opposite sleeve and began to sing again. Her voice was beautiful and rang out with the intent of comforting those who would hear it.

The day passed quickly, and the next day in a similar fashion, but on the third day the survivors began to try and determine the best course of action, since Majharn couldn't support them any longer, and they needed somewhere else to go. That night, while many were resting, the unofficial leaders of the Majharn met in a large tent, to discuss what they would do next. Tharien and Aerendis were part of this council, both of them being seen as figures of authority despite their young age. Aerendis as a follower of Corellon and Tharien as the sort of 'mother hen' of the camp, even if no one was brave enough to call him that to his face.

After an hour or so of discussion it was decided that they should head to Aerenal, it being the closest settlement large enough to support all of them. The next day rafts were made and supplies were gathered, much of the camp was left alone as it would fade once the small wizard let it. Tharien spent that whole day summoning more of the lizards that Aerendis had called Wall Runners, the name had stuck and so they were called that forever more.

Their young charge, whose name they found out that first night was Divayth, would alternate his time between Aerendis and Tharien, finding particular joy in riding on the Paladin's shoulders, though he still spoke very little, and then only in whispers in his guardians' pointed ears.

On the morning of the seventh day, the Eladrin formerly of Majharn were ready to set off, the large number of Wall Runners that Tharien had summoned carrying all the soldiers of Majharn, while others would drag the rafts to the shoreline, and then serve as pack animals for the supplies and whatever had been salvaged from the ruins of Majharn.

The crossing from island to mainland took some time, the rafts were slow to move and it was a tedious process to load the Wall Runners with the items they were to carry. By about midday the caravan left the shores, leaving the island Majharn had once rested on behind, the mounted soldiers riding on the edge of the group protectively. Tharien walked up the front, Divayth sitting on one of the pack wallrunners next to him, as the small wizard held onto the harness of the creature. The wizard looked around, wondering where Aerendis had gotten to, he figured the Paladin was up front riding one of the Wallrunners, the reverance having been given to him by the guards placing him at the forefront of the warriors.

The two of them hadn't really discussed their changing relationship, but it was definitely more than it had been. Chaste kisses and caresses here and there, mostly while one or the other, or both, were distracted by some issue that came with being role models for the whole camp, as well as sleeping in eachother's embrace, with little Divayth tucked in between them.

All seemed to be going well and Ea as always sang a song fitting the occasion but always in Untheric as beautifully as she could muster. They passed a few nomads who wished them well but during the last stretch on the path into the mountains disaster struck them. From the sky came the sound of opening portals as a group of humans landed in front of them on Wyverns, there were only four but they looked to be powerful enough to take out the caravan sans it's heroes. The mounts magically dissipated and now standing before them were two wizards and a warrior protecting a fourth human who was dressed as nobility.

"Our scryers were waiting for you to move though I had once suggested to my emperor that we finished you while your morale was still low. Suppose crushing you before salvation will be just as satisfying. We know of two particularly strong elves among you which is why this elite force has been bothered to face you."

Aerendis hopped off of his mount motioning for the others to stay back knowing he'd soon be joined by Tharien and most likely Ea who'd stopped her song and was already making her way to the front lines. The noble had a particularly annoying voice which was high pitched, filled with sneer and arrogance. There was nothing the travelers or their heroes could say that would further solidify their intent to kill the hostile humans.

Tharien acted quickly the moment the portals appeared, snatching Divayth off the Wallrunner and handing him to the nearest guard, "Get him to the rear, move everyone else back too. You and the rest should stay back as best you can, this isn't going to be pretty, and I'll need the space, make sure everyone else is safe" he rattled off in rapid fire elvish, watching as the warrior did as he ordered without question, such was the respect that he and Aerendis had earned amongst the survivors of Majharn.

He moved like a predator to the front of the caravan where Aerendis had been riding, his ragged tunic and pants hiding the fact that he was a decently skilled magic user in his own right. Only the wand at his waist would give that away, and in truth, even then he could be considered a hedge wizard, or an apprentice, rather than the fully fledged wizard he was.

"I'm going to enjoy killing you" he called out as his eyes locked on the nobleman who had been talking arrogantly at the group. The small Wizard's aura flared dangerously about him as he stormed to the front, and with a furious scowl on his face he threw a force orb at the warrior, followed quickly by a magic missile, the abyssal words almost ripping out of his throat with his hatred, anger, and burning desire to protect what his instincts had named his child.

The Orb bust violently like glass against the warrior's body it's shards spraying into the mages but since the noble was so fiercely protected he was unharmed. However the missile that followed it was dodged by it's target. At this the noble pointed a hand towards the wizard and several conjured chains came into view though they would last only long enough that Tharien wouldn't be able to take a standard action for one turn. Now the mages launched their attacks one of them missing Tharien with a magic missile and the other launched lightning at Aerendis which successfully blasted him onto his backside.

Aerendis responded by quickly retrieving his holy symbol channeling a blast of radiant delirium through it at the mage knocking it to the ground as it just had the paladin. Ea pulled her wand and bow first using the wand while chanting a verse of thundering gust to knock the still standing mage away from it's group then took the wand in her teeth and fired a quick shot from her bow plunging an arrow into it's chest. Afterward the warrior made his move charging at Tharien to which Aerendis reacted quickly with divine speed seeming to just appear in front of Tharien with his Martyr's Blessing, the warrior was unable to overtake Aerendis who merely redirected his charge sending the warrior tumbling to the ground.

Tharien raised a hand to run lightly through Aerendis' hair as he moved around the Paladin slowly, the chains surrounding his limbs making it awkward to move, though he did his best, his green eyes almost seeming to glow and his hair moving as if in a breeze as his magic swelled around them, the aura invisible but easily felt by all around.

Raising a hand he fired a magic missile at the downed warrior, the weight of the chains making him unable to focus well enough to cast anything stronger. Out of the corner of his eye he could see one of the mages laying on the ground with an arrow in his chest, the sight bringing a pleased grin to his face.

He just hoped that the tiefling woman with a crush on him didn't kill the noble...yet

This time the warrior was unable to dodge the missile that plunged into him, shortly after Tharien's chains released from his arms being a poorly designed spell after all. The noble who watched everything transpire around him grit his teeth and pointed at the downed warrior controlling it somewhat like a puppet making him take his sword against Aerendis only to whack his armor clumsily and harmlessly. A magic missile was fired at Aerendis by the mage he blasted with his divination earlier and it made it's mark causing the paladin to double over finally knowing what it felt like to be hit by one of those.

A lightning cage conjured by the Tiefling's opponent appeared around her shocking her rather badly bringing, afterward she fell to her knees a fiery essence kicking up around her which shot with unfathomable speed at her aggressor setting him aflame. Aerendis took his warhammer in hand bringing it down at the nearby warrior hoping to kill it but instead missing as it stepped to the side just barely able to dodge. Ea began to speak in Untheric turning it into a song as she stood making arcane gestures with one finger, her song closed the wounds on herself and the paladin then she abruptly stopped singing pointing a finger at the burning mage. With a loud whistle and crack a multicolor magic missile otherwise known as chaos bolt screamed towards it's target cracking again as it bounced to the other mage then the warrior and finally the noble.

Again the warrior struck at Aerendis with it's sword clinking off the well protected Eladrin.

Tharien watched in a slight shock as a multi coloured blast of magic shot passed him and smacked the warrior, before bouncing to the other two enemies. The magic had originated from Ea...how interesting, seemed she was more than a merchant after all.

Tharien hurled a magic missile at the warrior absently as he began to chant softly in abyssal, the words of power homing in on the noble as the wizard performed the Hunter's curse ritual on the pompous human, forcing his will, his hatred, his burning anger and shadow tinted magic down on the man who had dared ambush the survivors and threaten his child. He focused solely on the man, trusting his companions to protect him while he tried to dominate the enemy leader.

"I want the pompous ass alive" he called out, in common unfortunately as it seemed that Ea couldn't speak elvish, and he didn't want her to kill the man just yet, as he wanted answers.

Again the warrior was pelted by magic but not downed though he growled in frustration at the pain in his side wondering to himself if they were even making any headway. The noble suddenly felt heavy and tried to move his legs in response only to be brought down as if something impossibly heavy were bearing down on him.

"What manner of curse is this?"

He spat out at the Eladrin with his face in the dirt. The still standing mage tried to cast magic at Aerendis only to miss terribly catching the Eladrin's attention in the process who growled charging the mage quite literally knocking his head off. He kicked the corpse so that it faced upward and held a hand over it drawing the vitality out of it's body and casting it towards Ea then resumed defiling the human corpse with swears and kicks. Ea hissed a single word in draconic language aiming with her wand shooting a large conjured fang of a dragon at the warrior plunging it through his arm but not able to kill him.

"Something far beyond one of your puny abilities human" Tharien spat, now that the noble was being held he could do something about the last remaining opponent before they could capture, interrogate, and execute the human leader.

Turning his gaze on the warrior, he uttered a short burst of abyssal, his hand twisting slightly as he cast pinioning vortex, trying to trap the man. The minute the spell started he turned his focus back on the noble, exercising his will to keep the human entrapped within his curse, his aura beating down against the man in a fashion which would cause great discomfort, if not pain.

Tharien's vortex overwhelmed the warrior and crushed him under it's spell leaving them only the noble to deal with who they surrounded. One of the Eladrin from their troupe called out nervously asking if the threat was gone. Aerendis knelt by the noble grabbing him by the hair so that he could look into the other's eyes then let his face drop back into the dirt.

"I don't like him or his eyes Tharien... he thinks we're elves and he's a murderer. What are you going to do with him?"

The Tiefling had nothing to add to the situation so she merely stowed her weapons and folded her arms into opposite sleeve like usual singing quietly to herself. In her dreams she'd seen many battles and proved herself much more useful than anticipated.

Tharien quickle conjured heavy chains and manacles around the human, his curse lifting as the restraints would prevent the man from being able to do anything while he glared down at him. This...he was going to enjoy this very much. He had learnt things in the Shadowfell under his mother's watchful gaze, things that were extremely unpleasant, and would hopefully get the man to talk.

"Alright human, now that your 'elite' force has been dealt with, I want answers, answers you're going to give. If you don't, it will be very, very painful to you. You tell me what I want to know, and you might leave here alive." the wizard focused his aura on the man, letting him feel the wild and dangerous power that made up Tharien's magic as keenly as a blade felt against his throat.

"Why did your people attack Majharn? Why did you attack us here? And how are you getting into the fey?" he demanded harshly, his tone revealing he had no tolerance for foolishness.

The man's face went white as he felt the aura and listened to Tharien's words proving as was usually the case he was really just a coward hiding behind others. He tried to move but found he couldn't and looked desperately for a way out but he found none then began to speak harshly.

"Why have an army when you can't use it? our people ran out of things to conquer so we set our eyes on this place. We attacked you because it's part of our code not to leave any survivors and the third question?. Well it seems your people are too easily trusting... we had one of our generals bribe some stupid elves in Majharn to open an altered portal then studied it until we could create our own. That's why we attacked Majharn first."

Of course the 'promise' of escaping with his life had something to do with why he was speaking so easily.

"You feculant piece of Gruumsh's fecal matter!" Tharien snapped out, his eyes burning with rage, "You attacked us for something to do!?!" his magic whipped around him wildly, as, with a little bit of help from prestidigitation, he hurled the man towards the caravan, chains coiling out of the ground to lock the human in place so he couldn't get away.

"I said you might get out of her alive, I am here, you are there, I said nothing about leaving there alive" he said viciously as he stalked to 'there' and a large dome of opaque magic surrounded the Eladrin and his prisoner. Nothing could be seen or heard from the dome for a few minute, before it dropped. Tharien stood there, blood splattered on his upper torso and face, the human's head bowed. Anyone who took a close enough look would be able to see the twin tracks of blood trailing away from the man's empty eyesockets, and a strip of meat that was pinned to his chest with a large shard of metal. Upon inspection, it would become apparent that it was the human's tongue.

"You didn't like his eyes Aerendis....what do you want to do with them?" he asked aloud, holding out his hand where two fleshy orbs sat, seeming to stare out in front of the wizard.

Turning to the nearest guard, he spoke quietly, but dangerously, "This man is one of those who ordered the attack on Majharn, let the people do what they want to him...make sure none of the children can see or hear it though" he spoke in common, so the blind and mute human would know his fate.

The paladin spared only a glance at Tharien's offer before turning away to face Aerenal while Ea merely waited for Tharien's retribution on the noble to end. Silently she wondered what he meant when he said there were two elves who allowed the humans to enter the fey and if she would ever meet them. After another few moments the troupe started to move again steadily making their way towards the northern city now keeping their eyes on the sky or anywhere else they may be attacked from. Aerendis had previously thought the Fey was the world but now it seemed like there were more than one world, ones with not just elves in them.

"Sometimes you just mean to do well."

Aerendis said softly Ea's ears perking up at his statement as she brought her arms closer to her chest.

Tharien shrugged and dropped the eyes on the ground, crushing them under his heel as he turned to watch the survivors of Majharn beat the human to death, the guards watching on dispassionately knowing that if they helped, it would end too quickly.

Once the noble died (to a frying pan no less) Tharien disposed of his corpse, vanishing it to a deep part of a forest, where scavengers would dispose of it. The man's clothes had been switched for rags before he had been beaten by the crowd, and now the wizard went through his things for anything of value.

Once done, he cleaned himself up of any blood and went to find Divayth, taking the quiet child back to his Wallrunner as the caravan moved off once more, heading for Aerenal. He couldn't help but wonder what Aerendis thought of him now, maybe he thought he was a monster, the idea frightened him, but the small hand gripping his own as he walked gave him strength.

Even if the Paladin rejected him like so many others had before, he would still have Divayth.

Just over the path in front of them and they could see Aerenal or at least the entrance of it before it curved around into the mountains. Aerendis' heart did a little jump as he saw the city having finally returned to his 'home' the place where his parents were that he hardly knew in the first place. They came to the gates and the Eladrin their asked the declaration of the group while specifically stopping the paladin and bringing him off to the side. It seems they remembered him or at least were expecting them, while one of the guards spoke to the Aerenal sentry the one who pulled Aerendis to the side was speaking.

"You are Aerendis right? we thought you might still be kicking around."

The elven voices were hushed but as soon as Aerendis nodded in agreement his hands were bound but he did not struggle. They took him into the city walking by many buildings some of which now looked partially destroyed or freshly burned. His faint memories of the place were certainly far different.

Tharien started as he watched Aerendis be bound and the guards take him away. He looked between the paladin and Divayth, torn at what to do. He knew that now they were here the guards would deal with the caravan, and the other members of the 'council' would work out what to do next.

Picking the young boy off the Wallrunner, he sprinted over to Ea, some of his panic showing on his face, whispering in elvish to the boy, who couldn't speak common, he stood before her.

"You wanted to come with us, and you've lived in Majharn for a long time. I beg you to take care of that which is precious to me until I can return for him, if I don't come back by dusk, get him out of here, and wait for us in the forest...if we don't come back by then, look after him, please." he said, a look of desperation on his features. Ea would probably know by now that he considered Divayth his son, and if she had really lived here as long as she said she had, she would know how much trust he was placing in her.

Assuming she agreed, he would run off after Aerendis, a fierce look on his face, there was no way that he was going to let them do whatever they wanted to his paladin, regardless of what the older Eladrin might have done. They had no right, Corellon himself had given his blessing to Aerendis, who were they to go against the will of a god?

As he got closer to the guards he swore he would do anything to get him back, even if it meant invoking his mother and her Queen.

"HEY! WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE NINE HELLS DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!!" he yelled out

The Tiefling was surprised by Tharien's actions and sudden trust considering their relationship with one another but she knew he was desperate and that Aerendis was somehow important to him. She agreed without hesitation herself feeling that the paladin was a vital part of their quest. The child of course was apprehensive in her grasp but she sang softly to it in her language helping to calm it but it's heart still beat with apprehension.

One of the guards turned as Tharien yelled at him, urging another to continue taking Aerendis wherever he was going the guard made an attempt to hold Tharien in place. He wasn't quite sure yet whether or not to arrest the young wizard as he'd not done anything wrong yet but by all technicalities neither has Aerendis.

"I'll need you to be calming down. What significance is this omen to you? do you know what crimes he's committed against our race?"

"I don't care what you think he's done, you are not taking him" Tharien spat, "enough of our blood has been spilt by the humans, but if you try and stop me, I won't hesitate to send you up North"

With that he fey stepped away from the guard, in front of the one who was trying to escort Aerendis away. Standing there with his face harsh and his magic flaring around him, his hair shifting in an eldritch wind as he called up on his aura.

"In the name of Corellon whose halls I have walked, I demand that you let him go now! I will take him with me, and we will leave your city forthwith, but if you do not let him go, I will be forced to take action" he hoped that by invoking Corellon's name, and mentioning that he had been in the god's presence, that they would pay heed to his words. The last thing he wanted was to have to kill them, but he would do it for Aerendis.

He would call on his mother if that was what it took to get the Paladin back...even if it lost him forever

"You're delusional what would Corellon ever want with you?"

The guard said chasing Tharien with his own fey step while the one holding Aerendis needlessly tightened his bindings. By now the Eladrin were drawing their weapons in the event that Tharien got violent with them which seemed very likely.

"Realize that by defying us you'd also be defying your race!"

As he shouted at Tharien the other started to go through Aerendis' things suddenly taking an interest in what he had on him. Retrieving the star he looked at it sparingly then shoved it back into the paladin's pocket.

"Look here we can even charge him with theft of a religious artifact."

"I am Tharien Shadowstalker, son of Apeiron Tidestalker and Lahalia of the Shadowfell. In the name of the Raven Queen I sentence you to death in the halls of the House of the Shadowthorn for your crimes" he said, his voice distorting darkly, by announcing himself fully, he knew what he was doing, it was only a matter of moments before the call was heard.

"You're doomed now...she won't show you any mercy, and neither will I, you should have listened to me" he said, waving his hand to destroy the bindings holding Aerendis while he waited.

He idly wondered who would come with her

"Crazy wizard... crimes? the only criminals here are you two!"

He called charging at Tharien with his longsword intending to run the wizard through. Aerendis wasn't quite sure what to do but at least now he was free from restraint, there wasn't a whole lot of time for him to react especially since the other guard was trying in vain to overpower the paladin. As a Feywarden he didn't think very well of attacking an Eladrin.

"You're going to kill them aren't you?"

It was a rhetorical question of course.
