This thread is for discussing films that are coming out soon but don't merit a thread of their own yet. I'm waiting in anticipation for Burn After Reading. ![]() Burn After Reading is the next Coen Brothers' film. They brought us stuff like Fargo, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and No Country for Old Men. They seem to like to alternate between dark and serious films (such as Fargo) and very light comedies (such as O Brother, Where Art Thou?. This time, it's a comedy. It features an ensemble cast with Clooney an Pitt being the obvious stand outs. It has been screened at numerous film festivals already and is due to be released in Fall 2008. (Hey, that's now) Opinion: Should be well worth watching, so far it has a 73% at Rotten Tomatoes. I'm also waiting for Choke. ![]() Choke is based on a book written by Chuck Palahniuk, author of popular book Fight Club and many other similar stories. The cast is less known featuring Sam Rockwell and Anjelica Huston and the film has already premiered at this year's Sundance. I'm a casual fan of Palahniuk's books thus the anticipation. Also, Fight Club was adapted pretty well though many of its audience "didn't get the message" thus it feels pretty miserable to like Fight Club these days. Choke should be coming out by the end of the month. Opinion: Watch it if you are a fan of his books, otherwise, wait for more reviews to surface |
