I can't see how it will do much good for the game as a whole. I can just see is creating an even larger gap between the middle people and the strong people in EL. |

I think a lot of people started to play EL because it was a classless game, and that they could do whatever they wanted with their character. |

yes, i'm one of those who started playing EL because it is classless. if this perk is implemented, i'll deal, no question. but i'd honestly be rather disappointed if it was. |

Im all for optional classes, EL would still be a classless game for those who wish it to be.But I do agree some of the % Ent came up with would be to powerful |

<3 you to ais My point was.. if the classes are optional ( as in you are not forced to take one) then for players who didnt wish to take one.. EL would still be classless for them |

It's an interesting idea... I think most people when PK'ing would go barbarian class, cause 99.9% of people have someone stronger than them that they'd like to kill. With everyone but the absolute strongest on barbarian class it'd make PK very interesting, for eg. I'm ranked about 100 a/d, someone ranked about 30 in a/d, both of us with barbarian class, would suddenly become an even fight, we'd both hit every time and never dodge (and same applies for someone ranked ~200 a/d fighting me). But all in all i dont really like the idea, that's too much playing field leveling... a/d levels should still be worth something imo. Edited by Korrode, Jun 17 2008, 04:14 AM.

sorry, what i meant was, no it wouldn't still be a classless game for those who don't choose a class, beCAUSE once there are classes for some, the game isn't classless anymore even for those not taking the perk, as those players are interacting with players that do have a (temporary) class. (eg, it affects all players)

Aisy and Cona, sitting in a tree... <3 I will be short about this... I think the idea is sucky.. but we as a community will learn to use it to our advantage if it goes through. And for those that use this as yet another reason to say PK is teh deadz0rs if this gets implemented... It is as dead as we all allow it to be. |

Dillllllyyyy Yes Ais the classes might impact adversly on those not willing to take a class, that all depends though how powerful the classes were.they would need to be balanced (with negs) so that classless people were not overpowered or pushed from the game. It would be tricky I agree and im not overly fussed is there are classes or not. I think it would make an interesting addition thats all, but since i dont have a crystal ball........ *checks* nope they both normal ....... then wether its good or bad for the future of the game ..then who knows*goes and looks for tree to sit in* |

1. I dont get why it EVERYTHING SINGLE THING/FEATURE has to be so fucking expensive, that almost no one will be able to make use of it. (who shoots arrows nowdays!?) 2. Radu made the idea up, which isnt such a bad one. But if he in his idea, gives things like 50% bypassing MI, well, I dont really think he thought about it a lot tbh, or doesnt know pk in practise. But well, telling him that mostly results in.. 'forget about it'. Thank god, that it only requires like 4 players to post against an idea, to get it rejected lol. |

The idea is unbalanced and too expensive as suggested. Even Entropy agreed the MI breaking was too powerful when enough people said so and explained why. It is totally unaccessible for anyone but the higher level players. Where are mid level players going to get 20 pp?? If balanced properly it could have been an interesting addition for the top players to use but of course the highest level players could have made themselves invincible by taking the perk and staying with a class at all times. Really bad idea right? I am glad to see it won't come in as is. We need to have classes based on attributes so that they can require enough pick points that you really have to choose a class to have it. Getting classes with perks or nexus is an insanely bad way to do things. Why have classes? It makes the game more interesting and more complex. It allows people who like to do different things be able to work as hard as other players and get to the same destination through different paths. What the hell is wrong with that? Tirun |

Maybe he will read this, maybe he won't. But I have this to say. 20% is so much of a bonus to attack, and 30% bonus to defence, some people will have 179 attack / defence with this implimented, thats such a fucked up thing to do. Sounds lame, but the higher a/d, the less the % should be.. Make it so you need over 140 combined a/d, then every 10 over that, you loose a 2% bonus, starting from 30%. #Edit - Btw Dilly, I think Ais has a ingame BF, and it's not Con, lol. Except for comments on moderation I post the same things on both forums when there are concurrent threads. I have never been afraid of Entropy or anyone else in game or in forum for that matter. I am not going to start being afraid now. I put things in a nicer way on the EL forum because it is moderated but I say exactly the same things. ![]() Tirun |
