Im always looking at the players activity in EL and think the average amount is around 400~600 players online daily. (exception of weekends when it reachs 600~800) I consider this not much for a MMORPG so... 1) What you think could/should be made to increase the game activity/popularity? (new regulary players) 2) In your opinion it would/could be good or bad have shitloads of new ppl coming to the game? |

strop crushing all GC sources, newbies wants some easy income when they start a game not harvest and sit at same place for 10 hours to achieve something. to point 2, well i don't really know & care, more people = more fun ;p |

I think more people can only be a good thing. PK'ing in EL is a lot of fun, but training is extremely boring. I mean, it's a grind in any game, but in Regnum Online for example, as you raise levels you gain lots of new combat skills and/or spells, and you use these in your training... you're not figuring out the slowest way to kill your monsters, not effectively weakening yourself to increase exp, and you're not getting exp per hit/dodge... in training you still use powerful weapons and spells, u still are unleashing the full power of your char. It makes for much more fun training than EL, at least u still feel like your a powerful char destroying monsters with your full force, not using shit gear, boxing them, trying to make the fight last for ages. The key issue is that EL rewards exp per hit/dodge, as opposed to per fight. If there was many more monster spawns, the spawn locations weren't static, and exp was rewarded per fight... training in EL would be a lot more fun, and i think more people out there would be interested in doing it. For example, with the above system, Tirnym would be my training ground, i (at 111/115 a/d) would be fighting f/m.chims with weps, each fight would feel like much more of a grand victory against a strong beast... as opposed to punching a fluffy that cant hit me for shit. EDIT: As for what would make mixing more fun... idk, i personally dont find mixing fun... as far as i can see people get 2 possible things out of mixing: 1. Emulate the running of your own business. You watch the market, figure out the cheapest/easiest way to make product and where you can sell it for the best money. I can see how some people would find this enjoyable, but it's not for me. 2. Something to do while you're chatting away in the huge chat room that is EL. ![]() EDIT2: 3. Simply the pride in achieving high levels and being able to make expensive items might be attractive to some people. Again though, this isn't for me, although i take a degree of pride and get some enjoyment out of gaining levels, i aint grinding a/d for hours a day just to see my levels go up, i'm doing it to be stronger in PK... if there was no PK, i would've quit EL long ago.
