You also get quests weekly. And sometimes, in certain days, characters from other DQ games stay at Quester's Rest (The important inn where you can do a lot of crap in) and when you talk to them, they give you items. Oh, and if you're a specific class, they give you a helm that's essentially their hairdo. That's about it to be honest. I like it because I enjoy exp grinding. Sadly, I don't enjoy money or item grinding. And this game has lots of both. |

I want to master fans my my MC, but I'm sure it won't be as useful as Wand for a Mage. xD Also, I found out there is something like "rebirth" in Dragon Quest IX just now. Apparently once your each level 99 you can choose to revert back to level 1. You can gain 200 Skill Points AGAIN. Basically you have infinite skill points I assume. Just the leveling thing. I'm still not 100% sure myself though. |

Let's see... Meh. I should have been more practical. Master weapon I want on my main class as a different class FIRST and then play as my main class and level up the passive. xD |

Ah, I forgot to mention the rebirth thing. Whoops. XD So yeah, it doesn't reset the skill points you've invested in that class. That's half wrong. It doesn't reset the skill points set on the weapons. But on the passive it resets it back to 0. There's a way to master every skill in the game (Which can only be done post game, since it requires lots and lots of grinding. Almost absolutely necessary for some post game bosses too.) Spoiler for one which I think is a post game boss: Spoiler: click to toggle Method to max every skill: Spoiler: click to toggle Spoilered incase you guys want to find out yourself or something like that. Anyway, some more info I stumbled upon before getting the game too. Oh, and I'm at Dourbridge atm. Just grinding the subs of everyone so we're pretty much equal and stuff. Oh, and @ Shiro, you get 200 skill points when you max out a class, which is enough to master both a weapon and a passive. Passives should always be mastered because they provide stat bonuses which reach ridiculous levels. When stacked with other passives from other classes. Edited by AetherShadow, Jul 22 2010, 03:44 PM.

Ouch. Well, it's ok, as long as you didn't use points in another skill. There is a trick though. You can transfer skill points from other classes. Just don't use them immediately. Heck, I had 30 skill points I distributed between some classes just to test that. |

Well, I'll level to 99 for Spellcraft. For now I'll start leveling as a Sage since I UNLOCKED IT. <3 New Class! SAGE! Sages can use wands, boomerangs, bows, and shields. Their passive can do a variety of things like change vocations in the field, buff the party with a regen spell, and raise their own magic might and mending. AWESOME. Woah, you unlocked the best grinding class ever (Just for the fact you can switch classes on the fly). Do tell, what's the earliest point where you can unlock it? Also, you just made the priest null and void. Feel free to make the Priest a Paladin and leave him like that. Also, already unlocked Gladiator, but dang, unlocking Armamentalist is a pain.
