The Map All regions have been color-coded. ![]() Key: --- Yellow Country Name: Khatlea (Kaat-leah) Climate: North: Arid Desert South: Frozen Desert East: Temperate West: Temperate Points of Interest: The desert itself has few to no permenant civilizations; however, there are many ruins of cities past. This area is very lightly populated by tribes of human nomads. The north part of the desert is extremely harsh, with scalding temperatures reaching over 120 degrees Farenheit, coupled with blinding sandstorms and hostile animals. The south, however, is frozen, cold and dismal; yet it is odd geographically. It has all the characteristics of the desert, including sand dunes, desert trees and sandstorms, yet is is always frozen over and always has a thick layer of snow coating it. The only form of civilization is located there in the form of a port, called 'The Undying Port' (Named for the desert which refuses to give into the wintery conditions), which is used mostly by archaeologists and historians looking to study the ruins towards the north. |
