A change in sensing system

Sense seems pretty useless to me as it is now because nobody would go around wasting their precious mana on every cooldown only to find nothing. Not only does it require a ridiculous amount of luck to work but the area in which it works is quite limited. So here is my ideea. Make sense able to discover enemies that aren't powering up all over the map. Of course saying only that would make sense fairly overpowered since you could easily track people who are weaker then you and kill them. To counter that from happening i suggest only being able to sense people who are at least 3/4 of your power. Afterall a its hard to believe that if someone was surrounded by power lvls of milions they would sense a measly 1000 plevel character. One exception to this could be unformed cell, he should be undetectable because he gets no nukes or spells before lvl 15. I belive this would make for a faster paced and more enjoyable game especially on a smaller game like a 3v3(i play on eurobattle so it's hard to find a lot of good people).
Another ideea would be to make sense a passive and have people who cross a 5000 yards border be sensed. If they move inside that area you can't detect them but they exit and enter it again they get pinged on your minimap. Same restrictions apply as for the other idea.

Dude it costs like 5 mana, I spam it constantly, I get kills constantly. It's fine as is.

I actually came up with the idea of sensing for the map in an old idea thread. Your first idea sounds like a global power detector with limited use. Your second idea sounds like super 17's ultra sensitivity. Sensing does need a buff imo but that doesn't mean it needs to be reworked. It just needs a larger range. Another idea that I've suggested before was for an early game sensing item, the scouter, available from frieza's henchmen. It would automatically ping the location of nearby enemies that come into range similar to the mechanics of the dragonball tracker except instead of dragonballs it would sense enemy players however would explode if it sensed an enemy power level over 900,000, making it an early game item while still fitting into the context of the show.

That's actually a rather great idea you have there in my opinion.

Does freeza's henchmen even sell to z fighters? Maybe Bulma should also sell it seeing how she modified one when goku was fighting Vegeta.
And ye it is like a power detector but it wouldn't be able to sense sagas. It doesn't necessarily need to be global but the powerup requirement could be removed and the 3/4 power requirement added.
