Gifted Human Posts: 20 Group: Member Member #1,608 Joined: Sep 29, 2010	I'm pretty sure it isn't a map issue, considering that I downloaded the map here, and I'm assuming that the Bnet bot that hosts the games runs it off the same map. I will re-download the map from here though and check. I am curious to see if anyone using a PC would run the game in 32-bit mode, then again in 64 to see if that makes any difference. It shouldn't, but it is worth considering... :/ I recently upgraded to a Macbook Pro with the 2.8GHz Core i7 processor with 8 GB of 1066 MHz of DDR3... so that should be more than sufficient. As far as graphics goes, I have an NVIDIA GeForce GT 330... so again, that should be more than sufficient... sooooo... hmm... yeah. I can only think software would be the issue, and if the game will run fine for some characters but not all, I am also going to assume that it isn't just overall Mac incompatibility, but something related to the affected characters...

I'm just thinking there must be a bugged code segment that some characters and transformation have that causes a minor segfault.

Posts: 1,123 Group: Member Member #2 Joined: May 29, 2009	macs aren't meant to be used for games i will say this people using macs WILL crash when playing dbz ulti some of the lighting effects cause this to happen. So i can tell you without a doubt in my mind its the mac causing you to crash. also next time you crash tell me the error code it gives you. EDIT: Ive asked some map makers a series of questions and all said the same thing "SIMBL" is a big cause of crashin in wc among other games as well including steam . Gifted Human Posts: 20 Group: Member Member #1,608 Joined: Sep 29, 2010	Yeah the more I'm looking into this, the more I am sure that running it from a Mac may be at least one aspect of the problem. The thing that gave me hope and confused the hell out of me though is that if I never click the character, literally I can watch the entire game progress without the slightest hitch. Initially I assumed that this must be a problem with the character models displaying for me, but when I play as a character that works, I can select (click) any of the other characters with no ill effects. For example, I can play as Broly. I can run the entire map, use all of his skills, and change power level to SS and LSS without any issue. I can also click any villain or good character that is in my line of sight and no crash occurs. However, once Broly becomes Bio, if I click him, the game crashes. I think then, that it must be some part of the coding for actual control of some of the character models, but I'm not certain.

You sit on the circle of power and after about 5 seconds it shocks you giving you stats but you take damage. Deleted User	OK eoheomili here it is. I downloaded and ran a sort of Mac mini OS, and the root of your problem is the Mac OS, no if ands or buts about it. Sorry to have to say such, but it is true. What you can do is find a Windows OS Emulator or something and see if that can run the map, though it would be in a window and not fullscreen. I didn't put A LOT of time into this cause I'm sick as fuck and can hardly get out of bed, but I hope you appreciate the work I did put into this problem. Also I run wc3 in 64 at all times, not a single problem.
