What game are you playing? You can't select your hero in Ultimate Dragonball?

O.o, are you sure your not playing something else, because to my knowledge there was never a point in this game where you could "select heros". Is there a hacked version I dont know about where you can pick hero's via circles of power? How peculiar, the only possibilties I can think of are that your computer has like negative 126mb of ram, a cardboard graphics card, and a wrench where your processor should be, you have some sort of hacked version, or you were just playing the wrong game.

To clarify, when I said select, I meant *click* the character, either by clicking the icon on the top left hand screen or the character I spawn with. I simply meant the literal action of putting my cursor over the hero and clicking causes the game to crash.

Then you should clarify by saying "click" from the start. Try hitting F1 instead of clicking him with the mouse. If that doesn't work I'd say it's your computer either through lack of power, outdated drivers, outdated DirectX, or possibly even a failing graphics card.

I gotta agree here, it's gotta be a computer issue, or perhaps something is wrong with WC in general, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Of course make sure you have CD keys still before you do this. Lol

Eh... I am loathe to discuss what undoubtably all of you will blame as being the problem. I guarantee my computer has the hardware power to run this game without any issue, though the fact that I am running in 64-bit mode is something I plan to look into as a possible issue. However, the one significant difference that has been pointed out formerly is that I am running Mac OS X 10.6.4 . This should have absolutely no problem with the game. Every other game in WCIII Frozen Throne I have tried have worked without significant error. Even Ultimate Dragonball works under some conditions.

The characters I cannot play as (i.e. they crash the game when I try to play with them) are: Gohan, Piccolo, Buu, Frieza, Hell-Fighter 17 (not Dr. Myuu... I can get the 40 souls and summon 17, but once he teleports to earth, clicking him, or F1 causes crash), and Cell. Metal cooler has his own little issues, as the game won't even load fully when I am him, and crashes before I even get to get in-game.

The fact that the game runs fine as Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Uub, or Broly means that my computer is at least capable of running the game without problems, meaning that as far as memory, speed, and graphics, the hardware of my computer is fine. I am curious then, if there is some coding tidbit which may be causing a segfault or something. If someone can get past inane Mac hate and actually help me figure this out, I would appreciate it.

First off, these people are trying to actively help solve your problem so don't act so defensive. Secondly, metal cooler isn't even in this game.

It is most definitely either a map issue (which is possible since you are not playing the official version) or an OS issue. However though I do carry a large amount of hate for the Apple brand, it is not without reason. I don't let such brandism prevent me from handing out whatever assistance I can, unless it happens to be a fanboy who doesn't know what their talking about.

er... whatever brown is then. I didn't bother to check, and as it never loads the map, I didn't actually see...
