Welcome to Star Trek: Discovery. Make sure you know all the rules before you'll register. But above all have fun, and welcome to our roleplaying community!
Registering/Accounts
- ; Please register with your characters first and last name, or first name only if the species you chose don't use last names. You can always request a name change via your preferences. But we prefer you just sign up with your characters name.
- ; You must be at least 13 years old to register.
- ; Please avoid using names already used by other accepted members. Also no canon names please.
- ; After registering, please complete and post your application for the staff to review. The staff may ask for changes or additions to help integrate your character into the story.
- ; Inactive accounts that don’t post after registering will be deleted after a month or so.
- ; Please read up on all the mandatory information at least before making your profile, this also counts people who already have experience with Star Trek RPGs.
- ; One account per character, so you can have multiple accounts, thus multiple characters. (read the last rule if you want more then one charcter)
- ; When you want to register a NEW character when already owning a character, you MUST notify ShinLi. Only with her permission you can make a new character.
General Rules
- ; No flaming/attacking members and/or staff, and no provoking of flame wars.
- ; No spamming, no opening of useless threads or unnecessary posting. This is a rule for the entire board, and also counts for guests posting in guest friendly sections and/or c-box.
- ; No swearing or calling others names. Be nice to each other!
- ; We do not allow attacks on staff, our members or our forum in general.
Roleplaying Rules & Guidelines
- ; Characters can’t be 100% flawless or perfect, this includes Mary-Sue characters. They will not be accepted, and if you play them like this, you will receive a warning.
- ; Powerplaying is forbidden. This means you cannot play the actions or speech of any other character.
- ; One-lines are not allowed. We prefer quality over quantity. I’m not going to give anyone a minimum post length, as I hope we have all role-played long enough to know what quality posts are. This is not an 'elite' board and players of all levels are welcomed, as we hope to strive for a community where people can improve their rp'ing skills too.
- ; Be descriptive when roleplaying. Not only roleplay what your character is saying, but also what he/she feels, thoughts, describe surroundings. Give the other person something to work with.
- ; Posting is done in third person, past tense. First person is only allowed in places like logbooks etc.
- ; Use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and capitalization. We won’t start to nag on every little error. But please use a spell check before you post if you aren’t sure about your spelling.
- ; Do not use brightly coloured, tiny text. It hurts the eyes.
Avatar/Signature Rules
- ; Avatars maximum size is 150x150 pixels
- ; Signatures maximum size would be 500x200 pixels. This can be one picture, or multiple smaller pictures.
- ; Please use an avatar and signature to represent your character. You can claim a play-by, or face claim, in your application or in the appropriate topic. Please avoid using 'scene queens' or very well-known celebrities. And of course no porn or obscene stuff. We would like to stick to 'real life' play-bys. Play-bys should also lie relatively close in the same age group as your character. So if your character is 40 years old, don't use a 20 years old play-by.
- ; It is Forbidden to Advertise in your signature, this counts for every board/site. You can advertise in the advertising section of this forum.
I hope I wasn't too hard in this, but if you follow these rules and guidelines, you will have no trouble with us. And most important of all, the rules will maintain our community as we know it now. Friendly and welcoming to new members! If you have any questions regarding the rules, you can contact me at all times!
((Rules could be added/edited any time without notification! New rules will be marked with an *))
