When I first started my matches, i tryed all the different armor types to get a feel of how they worked and how effective they are in battle.
Jet pack was cool to fly with, but i usually died too quickly to make any true use of it.
I tryed my hand at the cloaking armor, but was mostly ineffective in using it in many situations.
Armor lock was hard to use at first when i was trying out all the armor types at the beginning. I never could use it right cause i always died trying to use it.
After Failing with all the others, using the sprint was my best option for the longest time during the first several days of the Beta.

After a few random tries with armor lock, i finally gotten the hang of how to use it efectively, just a matter of my timing and what is going on around me.

It took one epic run in a match on swardbase to fully realize the effectiveness of armor lock, aka "the Ground Pound". One instance came when i got stuck in the head by that new tracking plasma launcher. I ran around the corner and did a ground pound, the sticky round immediately popped off my head and moments later exploded behind me.
The other instance later in the match, i had the shotgun and was in the room where the shotgun spawned. i used the ground pound to repeatedly drain peoples shields and then pop up and pop them in the chest point blank with the shotgun, was also effective with headshots with either the DMR or the pistol. Pulled off a killing spree and shotgun spree using that combo til my energy ran out. You can pull off two ground pounds on one full charge if you only use it for a quick second, allowing you to safely pull off double kills with this combo if your timing is right.
In another game, i utilized the ground pound to act as a decoy for a teammate to get a multi-kill. i died, but he managed to kill three or four guys in the process. I had several enemies all over me in the open. i did a ground pound while they were all around me. my teammate spammed the spot i was kneeling on with grenades. the enemies were to focused on waiting for me to exit the lock to kill me to realize the trap. My armor lock ended just as the grenades went off, taking me and all of them with me.

Armor lock has become my favorite armor type because of these and several other awsome moments like them.
