Welcome to the United Kingdom of Britain!

The United Kingdom of Britain was originally established in mid-2008, but for various reasons fell into inactivity and then became a Protectorate of the Land of Kings and Emperors. Then, in April of 2010, the UKB gained its freedom and re-established itself here.

We welcome you to help us forge a new chapter in our history, and once again, welcome!

Directed by the Minister of Culture, Dame Lexi E. Nehio

I thought it would be beneficial to people if they knew what exactly was going on with the Culture Ministry here at the United Kingdoms of Britain. So, I have concluded that I will be creating this update topic, at the end of every month to tell people what the culture of this region has achieved, and what is coming up in the future. So, without further ado, I shall begin.

The University of Cambridge

It had been an idea of mine that I wanted to implement from the very start of my appointment as Minister of Culture, and finally it had come into being. At the moment, there seems to be little activity, but that will change at the start of the new semester which will be Tuesday 1st June 2010. We are always wanting professors to fill the vacant courses, and we also looking for students that want to learn more about the UKB or just as a little bit of education on those subjects you may not be studying in your real life schools, colleges or universities. But, we are looking forward to seeing it grow. :)

New Roleplaying Games

You may have noticed that there are now two, new forums in the Hyde Park forum named 'Modern Day Roleplay' and 'Magic and Might'. The latter is just an experiment to see if people will take part, but it's perfectly understandable if it becomes a failure as it is quite the complicated game. The 'Modern Day Roleplay' was inspired by Darren Gilmour's suggestion, and will soon be developed, hopefully becoming the regions most active roleplaying game, after the recent drop in activity within the British Isles Roleplay, which will still remain intact to those who wish to continue with that.

Societies and Organizations

This is a new idea that will be run similar to that of the religions forum (Lawrence Avenue). Basically, those that share a hobby, belief or political idea can come to create their own society or organization. I will say it now, I'm afraid there won't be any parady societies or organizations (e.g. The Order of the Palm Tree Lovers, The Apply and Pear Soecity). Aslong as it is civilized, decent and provides a purpose, your more then welcome to come and start one. A new forum should be set up by the beginning of June.

A Market?

Something that I have also been planning for a while, is a Market forum, where people can open shops and other sorts of commerce. It should be important to note, that you would not be paid for this, but it will be more of a charity, where you provide people with your works for no charge. You could open a graphics shop, avatar shop, photo editing shop, writing shop anything you want! This should be put into the works soon, but I will be talking to the Prime Minister about this in due course.

Late Spring Clean!

The Culture Ministry will be having it's first clear out of the Hyde Park and St. James forum today! So come along and watch as we clear away some inactive topics and posts. If you have anything you would like to be deleted in the Hyde Park, St. James, Fleet Street or Lawrence Avenue forums, just shoot Lexi Hetherington a PM. I will be more then happy to do that for you. Along with this clean, there will be some more games presented in these forums throughout the week, so keep a look out!

What should you look forward to?

British Cultural Festival 2010,
Grand opening of a new RP,
More games,
and much, much more!
