Be sure to read the rules topic "Soul Points and YOU" (Link) in its entirety before beginning to post here. It's important, and covers a lot more ground than this topic.

-------

SP allowances can range from the following criteria:

Quote:

1 – The user writes only three lines a post. Makes no effort to improve the story or develop their character. Needs improvement.

3 – The user writes three to five lines a post. Asks questions and allows the story to proceed, but isn’t making a true effort.

5 – The user writes two or three paragraphs a post. They are making an effort to engage their character into the story, and have a basic understanding of how their character would react in situations. Their character is somewhat flawed, but perhaps not quite enough to be believable.

7 – The user writes several paragraphs a post. They help guide the story and engage the reader. They have a grasp on their characters style and can develop them further. Their character would not be called a Gary/Mary Stu.

9 – The user writes well over what is required. The user engages and expands the mind of the reader throughout the course of the topic. They have a firm grip on their character, knowing their mindset quite well. The character is definitely not perfect.

10 – Start writing books. Although you might be doing that anyway, if you can reach this level.

Keep in mind the criteria for each level is not set in stone. Depending on how the roleplay goes, not many of us can maintain a consistent level of ability. A strong effort is looked at positively.

You can only request one topic at a time. Topics requested that were completed over a week before the request was made will be declined review. You cannot backtrack in order to obtain more SP.

Once requested, staff will read the entire topic, though they will only award SP to the person who requested for the topic to be evaluated. People may request for the same topic, but they will only be awarded once.

One more thing:
If English is not your first language, Staff will try and accommodate you as well. Simply inform them of this in the Notes section of the request and they will try to be a bit less harsh with their grading techniques if you are making a strong effort.

Finally: Do not argue with a staff’s ruling.
It is not meant to be an insult if they give you a less than satisfactory mark on your topic, it only means you should try harder next time. If you’d like some pointers for improving your Roleplaying, leave a “C&C Requested” in the Notes section of the template. Otherwise, staff will simply dole out points without commentary.
