1a. General Rules For this Board
- If anyone is found to be guilty of hacking into anyone's account, they will immediately be banned, IP address and all. They will also be turned into the proper authorities. Hacking is a serious crime!
- This is a privately owned board. Mike's word is law. None of the following rules give away that right. Despite that, we strive to be reasonable. None of the forum general rules are to be ignore by staff.
- DO NOT copy ANY of the rules or forum's city or descriptions for your own site. A Instant ban will be punished for even the slightest sentence copy. Thanks go to Megaman.EXE RPG for allowing us to copy their rules word for word. Because I wrote them.
- Be courteous to others when you RP and have respect for others.
- No flaming. just for clarification, the definition of Flaming: To engage in an online argument usually involving unfounded personal attacks by one or more parties. An online argument that becomes nasty or derisive, where insulting a party to the discussion takes precedence over the objective merits of one side or another.
- No spamming. Even though posts in OoC areas don't count towards your post count, extremely off topic posts will result in a warning.Spam stands for:
Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages
- Several members are known to use mature language, therefore discretion is advised when reading. But keep language to a bear minimum, PG-13 limit if you can.
- Godmodding, Metagaming, and Powergaming is strictly prohibited. The staff will take countermeasures if anything of the sort is found. For more details on the difference between these criteria, please see the Non-Combat Rules.
- Only ONE account per person. If multiple accounts are found to be active at one time, the separate accounts will be deleted and punishment will be given.
- Keep all RP themes at a 14+ level. That means no lemon content (explicit sexual content). Lime-level (implied) content is permissible to a degree.
- Keep things clean. Don't insult another person's religion, race, gender, etc.
- Backseat moderating will not be tolerated.
- Be literate. No chat room lingo or 1337. For example, spell out "You are great" instead of "u r great".
- Do not advertise without permission. This board takes affiliations, but you must have an administrator's approval. A template will be provided in the Affiliate forum for requesting Affiliations, simply PM that filled out template to an Administrator.
- Do not slander/insult/etc. other players or player factions. Even if it's part of your character's backstory. For example, if you are a Player, saying that the Reapers are murderers with a massive army and weapons is not allowed. Furthermore, you cannot play out these actions. However, a SLIGHT implication of another faction's actions in a backstory is permitted. You're also allowed to have a small group of NPCs (only one of which can play a major role) from that said faction to play out a scene. But that's it.
- DO NOT enter restricted areas. They'll only be declared unlocked when an admin announces it in the News forum.
- Any personal issues with another member should not be dealt with on the board itself. The problems should be dealt with directly to the other member and settled, without having it effect the board activity of either members. Any problems with staff should be told directly to the head admin and the problem shall be dealt with off the board. Remember, flaming is still an offense, and no matter what the problem might be, it shouldn't be necessary here.
- Don't ask to be put on staff or for someone to be put on staff, on the c-box or any topic, unless the staff explicitly asked you to do so in a specific topic.
- B.A.N.:No threats in leaving the board. If you want to leave the board, then do so. By leaving you're free to go. But to leave for personal vendetta with the site and the staff and their decision will result in a suspension. This threat to ourselves to the leave the board causes an epidemic to everyone to think we can down right say we can leave the board if we don't get what we want, and then later on do it and show up days later.
When this happens, a epidemic of absence and leaving causes a large amount of members to leave and this causes to much with the board population. For now on, anyone who wants to leave/ or have a reason cause of such and such must make a topic in the Welcome/Goodbye forum stating, their reason. Also anyone who leaves and come back will be submitted to suspension for leaving and returning all to often. The only exception should be when you know something is coming up or you have personal reason and you tell us that you're coming back on such and such time and date because of something or anther has happen or is about to happen.
Such things as E-Drama, leaving because someone else has made you leave, or someone who you're having an problem with, or because of not getting your way and now you want to go; you are subject to leave all you want as long as you just don't whine off. "I'm going to leave because of such and such.. blah blah blah." Then you're to make a topic and leave without having to say so anywhere else on this board. The only place to say you're leaving is the welcome board. Anywhere else would be a warning or a suspension.
- Personal attacks of RPG members, especially staff, are prohibited. You got a problem with someone? Take it to Instant Messenger or e-mail. We don't need your spats setting off flame wars on the boards. That said, don't get too offended by people joking around. People who take everything as a personal attack are just as irritating as those who actually DO flame.
Additionally, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, or just plain hateful comments will not be tolerated. Insulting an entire racial or ethnic group, downing women (or men for that matter), mocking someone's sexuality, or otherwise showing just how much of a close-minded and intolerant pig you are won't be looked upon too kindly. In fact, this is one of those things that may earn you a permanent ban. We're here to have fun, but not if it means making someone else feel like dirt.
Above all rules, the first rule is the golden rule and shall never be broken. If this rule is broken, severe consequences will be dealt upon heavily to the member. Respect. Respect is what keeps a site good and running. Respect your fellow role players, respect the staff, respect the rules, and above all respect yourself. Don't let anyone push you around. If someone says something to you on site, contact me or another staff member and we will deal with it accordingly.
- TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK, and use proper English while speaking in this forum. NO CHAT SPEAK! Posts written entirely with poor punctuation and capitalization are painful to read. I understand that we have some members who do not speak English as their native language, and they will be cut some slack. However that will NOT be accepted as an excuse If I find your idea of non-native English speaking is: "lol guys waz ^? how r u i m fine lets be friendz kwel!!1 <3<3<3" This kind of speaking in the forum is not acceptable. We are a public message board, not a chat room. Occasional emoticons and internet lingo is fine, as long as they aren't overkill. Please also keep the profanity to a minimum. Adding a moderate curse word to your posts every now and then is not really a problem. But, when most of your post consists of nothing but curse words, when they're specifically directed at someone else, or when they're highly disgusting or offensive, we start having problems. We have only moderate filters on the boards at present, but they may get stricter if you act immaturely.
Rule Violations and Punishments
The staff is currently testing a new style of rule breaking penalties.
Smaller offenses will simply receive a warn raise, and a penalty for the offense is to be determined by the staff member who found the rule break.
If you feel your warning was in error, or the penalty too harsh, PM an administrator, and we shall review the case.

However, larger offenses, such as heavy flaming, gross spamming, pornography, etc, will be dealt with on a much more strict set up.
If you have no previous warnings, you will simply receive a warning. For extreme cases, you may receive a punishment on this first one.
For a second major case, you shall be suspended from this board for either 1 week or 2 weeks, depending on the severity of the rule break.
If you break a major rule a third time, goodbye. You shall be banned, and any alternate accounts you create destroyed. Most likely, if we ban you, you are meant to stay banned.
