There we were, there we were, there we were... in the Congo! Whew, we made it out alive (with only one trip to a Rwandan hospital, but that's another story). We took Steve's advice, and did not enter into any lost cities in the jungle, perhaps that's why we're now safe-n-sound in Brussels and only one more flight away from our return to the good 'ol USofA. But... the jungle is amazing. Technically, it's a tropical rain forest, and the flora and fauna are stunning. Primates do indeed rule, but not the human kind. We saw the king of the jungle - the biggest and oldest Gorilla in Volcanoes National Park, part of the Congo Basin - he has a name, but everyone just calls him "King". We also saw Chimpanzees, various monkey species, and all kinds of exotic birds. We added in a safari expedition down in the grasslands as well. But I ramble on...
Pitchers and Catchers have reported, and it's time to get serious about UFBDL 2016. When do we have to declare our returning contracts? And when does Free Agency start?
cheers, TD B-)

Sounds like you guys had a heck of a good trip! Welcome home (shortly...)

We have deemed February 28th, a week from today, to be the deadline to set rosters. Free agency will begin on March 7th, giving us a slightly shorter Free Agent signing period than in years past, but I don't think it will be an issue since the heaviest lifting of FA tends to be the first 10-14 days.
