Author's Note: A tentative poetic piece based around 'A ride to Johnsdeep'
It's intended to be a folksy fable/rhyme, but i'm not sure how sucessful it is.

O'er the downs atwixt Kynnton an' Johnsdeep
There came a slow rattling sound
'Twas Calib and Balen, poor traders from Norland
To sell their flour, well ground

Now Calib was leading his wrinkled old eyes
Turned from the trail to his bed
Calib's horse kept on plodding as Calib was nodding
'Til a short lad appeared ahead

He flagged down old Calib, who woke with a start
And cast down an eye on the lad
Now Calib was cunning, had seen much of the world
And what he saw now looked bad

The lad asked for passage, offered silver an' all
But cunnng old Calib say nay
'cause Calib, whose eyes had seen many a'thing
Did ken that the lad was a Fey!

Now the creature got angry, and as you might think
I seemed that violence was nigh
'Til Balen, the trader, stepped down from his cart
And looked with his less-travelled eye

He saw neither creature, nor killer of babes
But rather a short, stocky man
So gladly he offered the stranger a ride
But alas! He knew not its plan!

Then Calib did leave him, and it is from him that we hear
Our account of this tragic tale
For when we found Balen, lead by the roadside
His body and face were dread pale

Now neither cart nor flour were heard of
Again by any living soul
And the agent of murder: the Fey, it would seem
Was long gone back to his hole.

So listen well the warnings of old men
Those who travel long, far and wide
And when they say trouble is brewing
Close your doors, bar your windows, stay inside!

'The Master'
I have one sentence that shall verify my opinion of this:
I do not like Terry Pratchett
