Good for them. I doubt the data will be the cheapest around, but if the device is cheap, that will offset the cost for
lower volume users. America Movil is moving more and more into data these days... With the purchase of simple
mobile, who offered a USB data stick, and then with Trac adding improved data options, this is a good move for AM
to keep up with the competition.

Well, the hot spot has been removed and the ZTE Midnight seems to be running Gingerbread.
Why release a phone with such outdated software?

It’s been quite on the “new phones” front for the past few months, but I have noticed that one, and potentially two
phones have passed through the FCC recently (both are marked with blue boxes).

The first is the LG L34C, Obviously heading our way, but there are pictures of the phone as of now.
Looks to be running Verizon’s 3G bands as well.

The second is the ZTE Z932L. We’ve seen other LTE phones come through with the “L” after the model number.
What makes this one different is that it states “LTE 750”... That is Verizon’s LTE band. While there are pics of the
phone, none seem to have the logo we are all familiar with. There is also a phone marked ZTE Z930 farther down
the list, with multiple LTE bands.

So, the question is, are we about to see Straight Talk’s first Verizon LTE phone?

The Motorola XT939G (which I believe is the Moto G) has disappeared from the Straight Talk activation page.

Found a tutorial for the ZTE Z930L (not the 932L which I mentioned above)...
http://tracfone.deviceanywhere.com/tracfone/home.seam;jsessionid=F151147E940EFC989?

While the tutorial sates “3G”, the user guide…
http://img-tf.deviceanywhere.com//tracfone/pub/254560/docs/ZTE930%20English%20Manual.pdf

Calls it the “Unico LTE”. There is an icon in the user guide that says “4G LTE” and it looks just like the icon that
AT&T uses, so I guess I was wrong about it being Verizon.

It apparently will run on 4G LTE.

* I was over on Straight Talk's website looking at one their pages where they show all the phones, and I see a few
* new cheap phones have appeared...

* One is the Alcatel A383G (the Big Easy with a camera) <-- this crapFone was also discussed over on the Tracfone
* & Net10 phones coming soon
topic.

* And I see another new phone called the LG 306g ... looks to me that it might be a feature phone similar to the LG 840g.
* The tutorials weren't available yet to look at these two new phones closer...

* Here's a thought... maybe that LG 305c we talked about over on the Tracfone & Net10 phones coming soon topic
* might be the sister phone to the LG 306g? ... and the LG 305c just may be the CDMA version of the LG 306g?

* Super Sweeper ... maybe you can post a picture of the phones from the Straight Talk website? you're good at that. ;)

Look like a couple of new smartphones have been added to the Straight Talk Activation page, too --

the LG Optimus Fuel and the One Touch Sonic LTE. No Tutorials available for either of them yet.

How long do you think it will be for the "Big Easy Plus" phone to be available for purchase?

It looks like an ideal phone for my mom as she doesn't like flip phone.

My brother is to get her the Alcatel Big Easy flip phone but he can wait if it's not going to be too long.

Straight Talk is just like Tracfone and NET10 when it comes to releasing new phone models.
It could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

If you want to try to obtain a more definitive answer, you should phone Miami and ask. Once in a while,
the Customer Service Representatives may know something about a specific phone, particularly if the
phone is on the verge of being introduced. But, much of the time, they are in the dark about release dates
just like the rest of us.

If you do phone Miami, please post, and let us know how you made out.

Looks like another LG LTE phone will be eventually heading to Straight Talk and probably NET10 . . .

LG L31L for Tracfone spotted in Bluetooth SIG Filling

http://www.mylgphones.com/lg-l31l-for-tracfone-spotted-in-bluetooth-sig-filling.html

A new filing at the Bluetooth SIG has revealed a listing for LG’s L31L handset.

The LG L31L is identified as an LG LTE mobile phone and has been listed on January 27 with the Bluetooth SIG.

According to Bluetooth SIG Filling, the LG L31L features Blueooth 4.0 and support HID over GATT Profile.

The LG L31L coming to Tracfone is a variant of the LG F370L. The L31L sports a 4.5-inch WVGA(800×400) touch
screen display and runs on Android 4.4 kitkat operating system powered by a 1.2GHz Quad core MSM8926 CPU.

Tracfone has not announced the LG L31L device yet, and pricing details remain unknown.

Stay tuned.... Source: https://www.bluetooth.org/tpg/QLI_viewQDL.cfm?qid=22181

That's what I thought. I told my brother it may be several months before they release it.
He's going to go ahead and get the Big Easy flip phone.
I told him if mom didn't like the phone then I'll get her the new Big Easy Plus when it comes out.

Thanks for the info!

It appears that the Moto G that's at the start of the phone list is actually a CDMA (Verizon based) Moto G with the
model number XT937C.

Well, that's interesting! ...The NET10 website still shows the Moto G as the GSM version of the phone.
That is, Motorola XT939G.

I wonder what's going on? ...Maybe Tracfone Wireless, Inc. got a cheaper deal by picking up the CDMA
version of the phone, and the NET10 website just needs to be updated??

Thanks for the info, Sweeper!

Here's a brief update on the LG L31L. It will be a GSM phone, and apparently, there will be a companion CDMA phone
to it which will be known as the LG L30L . . .

http://www.mylgphones.com/lg-l31l-for-tracfone-gets-fcc-approval.html

If the CDMA phone is indeed a LTE phone, will it really run on Verizon??
