Home Sweet Home! Hannah was so excited when she saw the out line of her two story ranch house, that she nudged her horse into a full speed gallop. She knew that Tressa would understand her enthusiasum. Hannah had not been home for a few years now, and oh how she missed this place. She did not even take the time to put her horse in the stable, she just hitched her to the rail and ran up the steps of the porch. "It feels so good to be home!" Hannah did not yet go inside, she waited for Tressa to catch up to her. She had already noted how there was the sound of more than just pair of feet coming from inside, this meant that her expected guest had gotten there before her. Oh well, that was no big deal. She could also hear her father's Native American friend not so happily following the man around. Hannah giggled softly. She would calm Red Fox down about the man, shortly. After all, Jeffery was no one to worry about... |

Tressa laughed as her friend rushed ahead to her home. What else had she expected? Hannah had been gone all this time. It was just like her to want to rush through the door and pick up right where she had left off. Tressa relaxed for a minute before nudging her own mare after her friend. As she got into the yard, Tressa dismounted and, opposite of Hannah, let her mare out into one of the empty pens. As soon as she was sure everything was going to be alright for her stay, Tressa walked grinning up to her friend. "So, what now my dear friend? And you might want to say your greetings to Red Fox before he becomes upset that you didn't say hello sooner." |

Hannah smiled at her friend, as she came up next to her. "Your right, Red Fox will be heart broken. Let's go in and say hello, shall we?" She slowly opened the door, and heard the sounds of the foot steps stop. Hannah smiled as she heard the softer feet make their way from the parlor to the hallway. She grinned, pushing the door all the way open, dropping her bags there, just out of Tressa's way. "RED FOX!" She exclaimed running up to meet the one man she had come to love almost as much as she would an uncle. She threw her arms around his neck and gave him a big hug as he grinned. He warmly met her embrace, happy to have his best friend's daughter home, at last. He was reluctant to let her go, cause after her father had died, he had loved her like his own daughter. She turned to look in the parlor and gave a smile to the man inside. She motioned for Tressa to come to her, as she did to the man. She was eager to introduce the two of them. "Tressa, I want you to meet a friend of mine. Come on, then I can get right to baking those sticy buns." "No need, I already have some in the oven. I knew you would be here today, I just did not know when." The Indian told her, a sparkle of joy in his eyes. Hannah met him with another big hug as a thanks for the kind gesture, as she waited for Jeffery to emerge, so he and Tressa could be properly introduced. |

Jeffery had been exploring the Ranch house, as much at the Indian would let him. He had to admit, it felt awkward with the old man hovering over him, like he were going to be snooping into every thing. He was surprised the man had let him in, in the first place, so he did not complain much. He had walked into the parlor, and was examining the types of liquor that his friend kept. He was going to poor a small glass, when he heard the door open. He set the empty glass back down, and watched as Red Fox went to the hall way. He watched the look of pure adoration on the older man's face, and he knew Hannah must be home. Her voice soon followed as confirmation. When he saw her, a smile lit his own face. The exchange between her and Red Fox was rare among women and any one other than their fathers, even then it was rare. He just smiled at them. When Hannah motioned to him, but spoke to some one else, he hesitated. Who was she introducing him to now? She had a knack for knowing the grandest assortment of people. He straightened his sleeves, and came out to the hallway. His eyes brightened when he rested them on who he guessed to be the very Tressa Mae that Hannah had told him about. He bowed, and offered his hand to hers, should she take it he would brush a light kiss across her knuckles. "You must be Tressa Mae, Hannah has spoken so fondly of you. I am Jeffery Wrangler, I'm new to these parts." He looked at her with a soft kind smile, truly wishing he had been better prepared to meet her. |

Tressa was still smiling as she walked into the familiar house behind her friend. She had only been here a few times in her absence. It had always been hard. But not now. She smiled at Red Fox in greeting as he came into view. "Hello Red Fox. It's good to see you again. Hannah, I'm sure that this friend of yours doesn't need to be rushed into an introduction with me." And as Tressa stepped forward to meet this friend of Hannah's, she was taken off guard. She quickly assessed the man in front of her. But what drew her in was the smile that lit up his eyes. She smiled in return and took his hand. "I am indeed Tressa Mae. It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Wrangler." She blushed slightly as his lips lightly touched her knuckles. "Welcome to Tugme Flatts. I hope you have enjoyed your stay thus far?" She looked over at Hannah with a slight questioning look in her eyes. Hannah seemed all too happy about this meeting. What could she possibly be thinking? |

| Jimmy rode up to Hannah's place and put his horse in the same corral as Tressa's. Then he started walking up to the door and he knocked. Then he waited for someone to answer. |

The smile, the blush, it was all perfect, just the way she had hoped it would be. She knew that she might have to do a little more pushing on Tressa's side of things, but she could tell that Jeffery already had his heart set, or at least was getting that way. She opened her mouth to say something to the two of them, but was stopped as there came a knock on the door. She stopped Red Fox from answering it, it was her home she wanted to answer it. And she was pretty sure she knew who it was. She did not want him interfering at this moment, one which she had planned for Jeffery and Tressa. "You two go into the parlor and get more aquainted, I will greet my new guest, and then will join you both for sticky buns in a moment." She moved to the door before any one could protest her. When she opened the door, her eyes set on Jimmy, as she knew they would. "Oh, hello." she said so her friends could hear her greet the guest. "You are just the person I have been wanting to talk to you about a business proposition. Here let's talk out here, and walk for a moment, while I explain." She came out on the porch, closing the door behind her. |

Jeffery was surprised to find his own face a little warm when Tressa blushed at him. "Thank you, Miss Mae, but please call me Jeffery. Mr. Wrangler is my father." He smiled brightly again, hoping that he would not be too bold today. He tended to get into some trouble being too bold, but he never had been so bold with women, though he had never met a woman like Tressa either. When Hannah suggested that Tressa and he go into the parlor while she answered the door, he found it a bit peculiar. But he did not question her, because he did find it a good idea. "Will you join me?" He offered his arm to her, in a polite motion to head to the next room. He really wanted to know this young woman, he wanted to know every thing about her, but he knew it would all come in good time. No matter what, he hoped he would not slip up, and make any bad impression on her. |

Tressa smiled at Jeffery. "Of course. But in return, call me Tressa." She felt embarrassed by the blush she could feel on her cheeks but was glad that she hadn't fallen over her feet. Yet. She was enjoying the smile that was lighting up Jeffery's face. As Hannah left the room to go answer the door, Tressa looked after her friend. That was odd. Then again, that was Hannah. With a polite smile, Tressa hoped she was being subtle as she didn't take Jeffery's arm. "Yes. Let's go into the other room." She walked past him and into the next room, clasping her hands in front of her as she went. |
