"Yeah, you have taught me that real well. Which I appreciate very much, and also what else do you want to know about me so I can tell you now.

"Why have you been such a jerk? Wait, I think I know the answer."

I have been such a jerk because I like you and that's all I'm going to say.

"Uh-huh. And you realize that all but once conversation has always returned to this because you are such a jerk? Maybe that's not good. You may have to change your ways. Especially if you want me. I don't allow myself to be around outlaw types."

I'll change for you because you are the only one that I seem to like in these parts, would you be willing for me if I did that seriously?

"Depends. Can we change the topic now? Or will you accept a challenge?" Tressa grinned at Jimmy.

"I'll accept the challenge for you and only you, because that's how much I would love to be with you."

Tressa rolled her eyes skyward. "I've changed my mind. Good heavens. Jimmy, I think we are getting no where fast and won't ever will. Try chasing Hannah if you will." Reaching over, she slipped a note into his hand. "Don't worry, I'm sure you will find a girl that will appreciate you for who you are. Someday. Or never. It's up to you." With that final good-bye, Tressa kicked the mare forward and once again rode away from Jimmy. This time unsure if she was doing the right thing.
