Listening to the girl, Sandra heard something that disturbed her. Something was going on in this town that was making a long time local upset? That was never good news, no matter how you looked at it. If Tressa was genuinly upset about this, then perhaps she would be able to share the tale. "What's going on, if you don't mind me asking," Sandra started cautiously. "Are you saing that there is trouble here in town? Or the surrounding area?" A creeping feeling overtook her. What if it was outlaws? How exciting and frightening that would be. She wasn't going to let her imagination run away though. It was probably somehting as simple as a dry season or cattle missing. That seemed to be the extent of anything exciting happening in this small town, despite Tressa's claim that there were usually more people here in the saloon. It was hard to believe. |
