That was the most ridiculous thing that she had heard all month. Tressa took one of the hands that had been placed in her lap and covered her mouth with it to stop the laughter before it came out. He was afraid that she would have shot him? Either he was really insecure or thought she was really that dangerous. Tressa now lowered her hand and turned to face Jimmy but turned as she saw that he too was facing her. "I think," she started, "that you would have been better off just keeping away. I am but a member of this town. I suppose if my life depended on it, I could have used that gun. Otherwise, no one would have been shot by me." She rung her hands together in her lap, attempting to hide the fact that they were now getting clammy.

"Mr. Dee, I'm sure that you may have had no intentions of startling me, but you did none the less. It's not polite, no matter the circumstances, to come up behind a woman and hold a loaded gun to her. Unless you mean to do her harm. And for all I know, that is what you intended. How do I know that you hadn't been planning to shoot me yourself?" Tressa now turned and looked Jimmy in the eye. She hated throwing that out there but she had too. She hadn't done anything to him and other than pulling her own pistol out, hadn't made any threats. He could have been just as easily an outlaw himself.
