"How can you not like cookies? They're cookies.. Everyone likes cookies." Dakeri rested her hands on the counter and stood with her arms stiff, resting her weight on the counter rather than her feet. "I'm not taking your cookies, sugar. It's still boggling me how you can't like them. That's just.. it's silliness. Try dunking it in your milk, it makes them softer and nicer." It was a suggestion, anyway! She shrugged her hunched shoulders, and blew a tendril of red hair out of her face. |

"They are too sweet. I prefer things that have a plain taste." But to reinforce his stance, he pushed the cookies towards Dakeri and shook his head. He wouldn't try her arcane technique regarding cookies. What would happen if a piece fell into the milk, and he couldn't retrieve it? He would have to drink it with the milk, and it'd be stained forever, and it wouldn't be as good... and he saw the possible consequences. "But you sound enthusiastic. Keep them please." |

"Eeeeat it. You're sorely disappointing yourself here. Seriously, you need to work on expanding your palette." Seriously, who DOES NOT like cookies? Weirdo! She leaned away from the counter when a customer asked for a refill, and went off to fulfill her barmaid duties. The rain outside was still coming down in a torrential downpour. The dreadful silence of the tavern begged for conversation or music of some kind. |

"I wouldn't reject it without having tried it. I had a few in my way here. My tongue feels uncomfortable." He placed the bag aside and returned to the milk. At the very least, it would 'cleanse' the taste of the sugar all over his throat. And it was alright, maybe some sugar boosted the taste of the milk, though he wasn't sure yet. The alchemy of cookies still sounded arcane and far away. His eyes caught sight of her as she performed her job, and he didn't stop gazing a moment. It was enthralling, in a way. He liked watching her, though he had no particular reasoning to it. And he seemed to not to mind the silence, and the low whispering. It was natural to him, after living with Luciole for a while, and lacking a voice for another. |

"Suit yourself, sugar." She did not seem to have much else to say as she went about her rounds. Dakeri did not consider herself especially enticing for the male eye. Men preferred luxurious locks, her hair was kept cropped in a definite boy cut. Most found her ruby red eyes somewhat...creepy, and on more than one occasion she had been accused of being a Fomor for her odd appearance. If anything was catching Murmur's gaze, it was the irritating "uniform" the women in this tavern were made to wear. Snug, knee length shorts and a tank top that barely covered her bosom--her entire midriff exposed. Not... something up her ally, by any means. But it was easier to wear it and get paid than to get grumbled at. It didn't take awfully long before she meandered back to the counter, a hum in her throat. It was a cheerful song at least. |

One could bet, knowing Murmur's origin, that what caught his attention was her face. After all, those red eyes could be reminiscent of somebody, or something... and maybe he related the definitely 'luxuriously womanly' image to succubi. Who weren't usually kind in love, or with feelings, regardless of who you were, human or fomor. Maybe he had been too bold in the past? In a few moments, the milk was gone and Murmur's mouth felt much better, along with his stomach. And there was a bit of humming. He tried to catch the melody, but there was too much white noise coming from the people. Chances were that Murmur's ears had gotten used to Luciole's distaste for noise, and noise for her was everything, mostly. But his eyes were still fixed in her, oblivious to the impressive amount of lack of clothing. |

Perhaps she could have been a Fomor. Though it was a guess that Fomor didn't need glasses, and a cute little pair of specs were perched on the bartender's nose. She continued to hum, words occasionally tumbling from her lips softly, but she mostly kept it to herself as she went about organizing...cleaning... anything to keep herself occupied. "'Oh no', says I, me fair maid, though I can dance quite well~" Though it did not take her awfully long to realize the creep boy's gaze was still... staring... at her. "...Did you need something else, sugar? More milk?" One elegant brow quirked up in question, lightly painted lips pouting in very slight annoyance. |

Murmur's eyes turned away from the lady and ignored the words aimed at him. Suddenly, he felt like he had broken some kind of unspoken human rule that he shouldn't have stepped on. She had started the staring after all... so he just looked at Voice and seemed to be in some kind of meditation with his eyes slightly closed and his attention lost somewhere else, away from the tavern. All just because he didn't want to offend the lady. Though the dialog with Voice would be brief. And wouldn't offer anything relevant at all... But the melody started gaining his attention. Slowly, but steadily. At first, it was just simple tapping of his fingers, but soon, he grabbed a flute from his robe, slightly wet, and started pressing orifices, seemingly at random. Trying to play be ear was more complicated than he had expected, and he was at a loss of what notes would match the song. "Excuse me," he called for the red-headed waitress after a while.
