The Weyr was built to withstand Threadfalls, and hence, alsoheld out pretty well against storms.
This storm had been a big one though, and several trees had fallen over the island. Broken shutters can be spotted here and there on the buildings, and anything that was outside, like empty buckets etc, had either been blown out towards the sea, or against the hard mountain sides, breaking up into debrie.

The newlybaked Weyrlingmaster I'van could be spotted together with his best friend, sr weyrling Va'ja.
The two had just walked outside, and begun to look over the weyrbowl, I'van scanning over towards the training area and the weyrling barracs.

Niennath could be seen, as the queen had already moved outside to rest on her ledge.
Here and there other dragons could be spotted walking outside as well, and Ailisondeth soon glides down to land in the weyrbowl. The two had not been around for so long, after their extended turns away from the Weyr, first at Healers Hall, then as Dragonhealer trainers at Golden Heights Weyr. But now they were ack home, and had expressed all intentions to stay.

Ga'el and Ka'el soon strolls out as well, Ka'el streching his arms above his head.
The two recent transfers was not so sure as what to do, so they drift over towards the navy and the blue riders, figuring they would join the weyrlings and candidates for now.

Neoth, with T'iem ready on his back, takes to wings and heads for the weyrrim.
Perhaps the halfmoon and his rider were going to join those searching for the two pairs outside the Weyr?

MirkwoodPrincess01
Lillith is perched on the weyrrim, Selene watching the approach of Neoth and T'iem. The Black launches off of her perch, circling once before heading out over the island, where there are a few other dragon-rider pairs flying a standard grid pattern, using Thread-fall maneuvers to facilitate the search.

Neoth, this way. Lillith says, hailing the half-moon. We are to start here and work our way East.

Biadora 2007-07-22
The half-moon rumbles in answer to the black female, before he leaps off and beats his wings, veering around to join her.
~Did you spot anything Lillith?~ he asks, searching with his mind after the two dragons the Weyr lacked.

Wena182
R'huk had went up to Indra's weyr where his dragon was currently residing. He quickly got the red ready and biding farewell to Niennath they took off winging off in Lillith's direction. *Mine says to stay sharp. Although we hope for the best they might have been covered by debris. Investigate anything that looks odd.*

MirkwoodPrincess01
Not yet. Lillith replies as she banks over the forest. Of course, we have only just started searching. She tries to keep the worry out of her voice, but there is an undercurrent to her tone.

((My inspiration slipped away, and since I don't got you on Messenger MirkwoodPrincess, here is my info for you; Gareth has injured one wing, and both him and the smaller Terieth is partly buried under fallen trees. Their location is 10minutes flying time from the Weyr, but it takes currently near 3hours to walk there, since they both are on the backside of the Weyr, that one more or less has to circle parts of to reach them. They are down a set of steep rocks/cliffside, as well as fallen trees and rocks blocking the path to the site for a wlking person. Due to exhaustion, both dragons are dozing right now, and hence not talking back, but they will wake up after a while, you can rp that if you want to. Both Ryn and Milly are soaked and cold, both will end up getting pneumonia. I will leave up to you to decide if the females have any other injuries appart from that and misc. scratches etc.))

Wena182
Zuri left the dining hall ((I'm assuming with Skye)) and made her way across to the Weyrling barracks where Medinath waited to began their sweep ride. Once with Medinath she hurried inside the barrack and got her riding straps strapping up her dragon quickly. *Everything feels good?* Zuri asked. *Perfect. I am ready.* *We are to do an aerial sweep over the Weyr and then sweep down to Cove Hold.* *Alright.* Zuri mounted Medinath and then waited for Skye and Luxurianth.

Arrowth was flying in pattern with the other dragons but his keen eyes had not seen anything yet nor had R'huk spotting anything. *I wonder why they are not responded.* *They cannot be dead we would have known.* Arrowth responded but he too was troubled by that. Dragons always knew didn't they. He sent out a call. *Gareth? Terieth?* He got no response. *They could be asleep.* *That is true.*

E'li made his way outside and promptly joined the weyrlings and candidate. His dragon was to young to do anything like sweep rides and searching so he would help clean up the debris.

MirkwoodPrincess01
Lillith calls out to Gareth and Terieth as well, occasionally bugling or roaring vocally to try and catch their riders' attention.

~Swing out over the sea and go along the cliffs.~ Selene tells the Black, and the dragon adjusts course, relaying the information to the others. ~There's no telling where they may be, and I want to check as much as possible.~

As they fly lower along the cliffs, evidence of the storm's wrath is more apparant here, with entire trees and branches strewn about like toothpicks.

Skye1986
Skye went with Zuri, following her to the Weyrling barracks silently. Once there, she raced to find her straps as fast as she could, wanting to be out there quickly. Then she went outside and mounted Luxurianth.
"I hope we find them, and they are alright," Skye says to Zuri before they went. Unsure if she heard her, Skye asked her Green to pass the message to Medinath.
~Skyila-mine says that she hopes we find the missing ones and they are ok~ Luxurianth says. ~So do I~ She was aware that she used Skyes full name.

Wena182
((I think Zuri and Skye are doing a sweepride not looking for the missing pair. Not that when they are doing their sweep ride that they wouldn't be looking as well. :) ))

Zuri turned to Skye. "Ready?" Zuri asked and seeing that Skye was aboard her fine green Luxurianth. Without saying anything Medinath knew her rider was ready to take to the sky. Medinath pushed off the ground in a whirl of silver wings and was aloft. The winds were still a bit tricky but no where near as dangerous as they had been earlier. Still Medinath had never flown in such a conditions so she was a little awkward at first. *Mine, says that they can't be dead so that is a comforting thought.* Medinath said to Luxurianth. *Let us start from east to west and then once we have covered the whole of the Weyr we will sweep down to the Hold.* Zuri said to Medinath who then relayed the message to Luxurianth.

Arrowth and R'huk had not spotted anything as of yet except for a lot of destruction. The magnitude of the storm shocked R'huk. *It is lucky the Weyr did not blow over.* *The Weyr is strong.* Arrowth replied. Arrowth continued his mental calls to Terieth and Gareth with no response.

Skye1986
((Yeah...my mind sort of slipped away for a second there. My apologies. Just imagine she said they find them...))

"Ready." Luxurianth pushed off from the ground after Medinath. She followed carefully, keeping her eyes sharp for any bit of movement, any bit of life, just in case.
~That is comforting~ she says back to the silver, before passing it to her rider. She nodded. Luxurianth listened to what Medinath said and relayed it to her rider. ~Mine says yes, lets do that~ Skye gazed down , looking ever so carefully, to make sure nothing was missed.

Wena182
Medinath began sweeping across the Weyr as both her and Zuri realized the full scale of the damage. Trees had been blown over as easily as if they were toothpicks. Water seeped into the ground, flooding in many places. Some Weyr things were littered about the Weyr in all manners of places carried by the wind. She even saw a dead herdbeast, blown hard against the side of a tree. Poor animal. It must not have gotten brought to safety before the storm hit. *Even though we aren't looking for them keep a lookout for Gareth and Tereith.* *Yes, mine.* The full scale of the damage was shocking and Zuri was filing it all away in her mind to report it to Indra later. The Weyr had a lot of work to do before the Weyr would begin to look like anything it had used to. "Oh my..." She whispered to herself. She felt immensely saddened by it all but at least there had not been to many lives lost. There could have been many more.

((Oh Bia by the way I was thinking that maybe Rynathea's gold flit could die. *you know me always in the mood to kill more things off lol* But the Weyr's gold color for flits is in red on the distribution page so. Her gold could have tried to between to where Gareth was and got crushed or blown away into something...Oh by the way where is Rynathea during all of this?))

Biadora
((Yeah I will probably have some of the inactive flits having gone missing during the storm. Ryn is with Milly and the dragons, worry for her injured dragon overriding her lust so she hitched a ride out there.))

"Hi Eli', here to join the cleaning crew?" Va'ja smiles over at the other weyrling, before the bluerider turns back to instrucking Ka'el and Ga'el in where to find tools and where to deposit the debris they have moved aside.

Ailisondeth flew higher up, the copper circling in the sun before gliding off after Lilith, keeping her pace a rough dragonlenght away from the black.

Neoth beats his wings steadily. ~Mine says that the weyrfolk will be most displeased with this. He also thinks we will have to check the watersupplies, so that nothing has fallen into them to contaminate the water.~

Skye1986
Skye and Luxurianth just flew on in silence, horrifed by what they saw. The Greenrider shot a saddened look to the dead hearbeast, pitying it. She couldn't believe the amount of damage that had occured.
"I'm just glad that...not too many lives were lost," she said to her Green. Luxurianth replied to her, making a small noise in her throat.
~Are we still looking out for the missing Dragons?~ she asked. The girl looked over at Zuri. ~Skye?~
'Call me Skyila,' she said, finally deciding to take her full name back. After all, she could not escape what had happened to her father. 'And yes, we are still looking out, even though were not supposed to. We have to find them if we can.'
~Ok, Skyila~ Skyila smiled softly, then resumed looking around, a serious look creeping over her face.

Biadora
Down by the beach it was even worse.
Several beached large seacreatures lay there, rotting, and already starting to smell.
More wood was littering the beach then usual, and by the form some of the pieces were planks, a tell-tale sign that more lives had been lost in the storm. Some ships must have not managed to reach a harbour in time.
A few dead firelizards can be spotted as well. Some wild, but a few bearing Weyr colours as well.

Wena182
"Yes," E'li responded as he rolled up his sleeves ready to begin the work. "Need to do my part. Besides don't want to stay inside and do nothing anymore." E'li listened to what Va'ja was telling the two silver-blue riders as he needed to know that as well. *Can I come outside, mine?* *I don't think that is a good idea. The air is fine to fly in but the ground is littered with debris. It would be difficult to find a spot to land and not be in the way.* E'li said sending images of what he saw to his cooped up dragonet.

After sweeping across the Weyr, not seeing the two lost dragons, Zuri made a gesture to indicate that they should move onto the Hold. Medinath banked to the left and started heading in the direction of the Weyr. Straight flying would take a lot of time but it was the only way to get the full scale of the damage. With powerful beats of Medinath's silver wings they got to the Hold as soon as they could. *At least some trees remain standing.* Medinath said to Zuri and Luxurianth. *Their roots go deep.* Zuri remarked. "Oh my..." She said outloud as the Hold and the beach came into full sight.

((I want to let MP find Tereith and Gareth so... :) ))

Biadora
The small fisher Hold was littered with debrie, pieces of ripped sails.
A few boats had lost some of their masts, or had been injured, but most of the fishingfleet, that usually also ferried goods too and from the island, were actually in pretty good condition. Considering what they had been through.

People was outside, and calling to one another.
Or more likely, to someone missing.
It seemed like not everyone had made it inside in time...

High up on the main holdbuildings roof, a cow can be spotted grazing. It seems the herdbeast somehow was lifted by the wind up ontop of the roof it otherwise never could get to. Yet seemed otherwise entierly undamaged.

MirkwoodPrincess01
Lillith sweeps over a particularly steep area of cliffs, scanning the ground for any signs of her fellow dragons or their riders. A rather loud bugle sets off a chain of events that causes the Black to backwing sharply and head towards the ground. As the echoes of her call reverberate off the stony walls of the cliff, a pile of debris that Lillith would have otherwise just scanned and moved on, shifts, revealing a glimmer of turquoise that definitely doesn't belong there.

Quick, down below! Lillith reports, landing with a splash in the shallows. Selene quickly dismounts, grabbing the standard rider's first aid kit off of its place on the Black's harness and running towards the debris.

'Milly! Ryn! Answer me, please! It's Selene, as well as R'huk, T'iem, and Tine, here with our dragons.' she calls out, and Lillith comes cautiously up behind her, eyes a-whirl with worry.

Biadora
The larger copper dragon circles on above, before veering away with an upset snort. ~I can't land there! Mine says too dangerous, or I might knock down some rocks. We will search for a way to get there by runner-back~

A weak rumble vibrates back up to them, the turquoise trying to move, only to find herself hitting against another tree. She laid curled up, resting tightly against the khaki with her head stuck under one wing.
"I.. I'm okej!" a weak voice calls out.
Milly climbs outside, the woman a miserable sight, shaking from cold as well as partly covered with dragon blood.
"It is worse with Gareth. He scraped up his wound as he tried to fly again, and both our dragons got hit by rocks and trees" she tells them while giving Ryn a hand out from their hidingplace inunder the smaller dragons wing.

Wena182
Medinath sweeped out over the beach as the neared the Hold and Zuri looked down in horror at how badly the Hold had faired. There were dead sea creatures littering the beach and the rotting smell even reached Zuri's nostrils all the way up in the air. What disturbed her more was the dead firelizards she saw. Her own fair popped out of between sensing her images and flew about her and Medinath. All chittering in distrest their eyes whirling rapidly. Indira crooned sadly as if trying to wish them back to life. Most were wild some...some were not. It didn't make it any the less sad though. Zuri looked at the debris that littered the Hold grounds and saw and heard the people calling out to their lost ones. Zuri's eyes welled with tears and Medinath's own eyes were whirling in distress. She noticed the cow on top of the buildings and although the sight might have been comical in oter situations Zuri could find no humor in this. *Mine, there is odd lookings shapes out in the water.* *Go an investigate, Medi.* Medinath passed the message on to Luxurianth as she turned to veer out towards the open ocean. As they got to the spot that Medinath had pointed out Zuri realized what it was. *Shards! A ship was caught out in the storm.* Zuri said to Medinath who in turn relayed it to Luxurianth.

Arrowth hearing Lillith's immediately cahnged direction and winged to where Lillith had indicated. He angled down the steep cliffs coming to the bottom not at first seeing what it was Lillith and Selene had seen. But then R'huk spotted with his own good eye a patch of turquoise hide. It took a moment to find a safe spot to land but luckily Arrowth was only a red and he managed to make it work. *Tell Indra and Niennath we have found them.* *Niennath, we have found them.* *Your rider is right. You're to big.* Arrowth said to Ailisondeth. R'huk looked over Ryn and Milly. They both looked awful. *Arrowth tell one of the smaller dragons to get blankets and dry clothes for them.* R'huk knew tht it would be impossible to convince the woman to leave their dragons while they were still stuck to recieve medical attention. *Honeth will your rider bring dry clothes and blankets down to R'huk.* Arrowth called out giving the image of where they were. *You will need to be careful as you navigate your way down or you might crush us.* A little while later Honeth and her rider can be seen winging in the direction of the trapped dragons. Honeth was catious on the way down making sure to not hit anything unintentionally. She didn't land instead her rider, Shina, just dropped down the things into R'huk's waiting hands. He turned to the two women handing them each a blanket and a set of dry clothes. "Alright we have to get Gareth and Terieth unstuck. We'll need to move things carefully off them so that we don't cause anything else to shift."

((*wink, wink at Skye* Go ahead and spot the stuff I emailed you about. :) ))

MirkwoodPrincess01
ooc: I'm thinking that I'm gonna have Lirael and Osareth be NPCs, since I don't really do much with them. Is that alright, Bia?

bic:
Selene opens her first aid kit and quickly assesses Milly's and Ryn's wounds, noting that while she can treat the most basic of them here, the two women would have to see a trained Healer before the day was out.

Skye1986
Skyila saw all the damage the storm had done, as well as the dead bodies of Firelizards and Seacreatures. She hastily wiped tears from her eyes as she tried to focus on the task at hand. She looked around at Zuris fair of Firelizards, silently wishing hers were with her. She had ordered them to remain behind. She gazed around, then glanced towards Zuri and Medinath as Luxurianth mentioned that the silver saw shapes in the water, and the two followed them there.
~Yes, I see it~ Luxurianth told Medinath.
"Look over there!" Skyila yelled, pointing further along. "Dolphins...does it look to you as if they are trying to get our attention?" And indeed, they were looking up at the riders, occasionally jumping out of the water, and splashing, calling out to them. Luxurianth passed along all the information to Medinath, followed by the fact they were going to see what the dolphins wanted. Leading the way, the green decended towards the Dolphins.

Wena182
Zuri’s firelizards were distracting her with their intense feelings of grief. After all she had six of them. Jovi’s hide had shifted to a white color. Indira settled down on her shoulder chirruping mournfully. Sadie and Murdock were zooming about in obvious distress. Tyke was so shocked and upset that he was silent hovering with a defeated air. Biddy was the only one who was sad but remained calm. The emotions were overwhelming Zuri along with Medinath’s own sadness and pity. She shook her head as if trying to disperse the thoughts she needed to think clearly. “Biddy, take a message to Indra and ask her if she would like us to bring back the dead flits that have Weyr colors back to the Weyr. Also tell her that there has been a shipwreck.” Zuri said directing her oldest and most trusted flit. She had no note to give so Biddy would have to make herself understood. But Zuri had every confidence that Biddy could do that. The green chirruped in understanding before she went off to locate Indra. *Zuri.* Medinath said trying to get her distracted attention. *Zuri!* *Oh yes…sorry Medi. What is it?* *Luxurianth and Skye have spotted some dolphins.* *Dolphins?* Zuri said skeptical as she looked out focusing on the sea once more. There were indeed dolphins flipping about in the water in a manner that was trying to attract attention. “I see them. I think they are…” Zuri shouted back. Medinath winged after the green to go see what it is the dolphins wanted.

Ailisondeth lets out a small snort in reply to Arrowths words, then shakes her coppery head. ~Mine and I will head back to the infirmary for the strecher anyway~ she rekays before veering off and beating her wings hard to speed up as she leaves them behind.

Niennaths worried mind reaches out towards them, albeit the worry was mostly Indras, not hers. The Queen was still in a bit of after-flight mood. Still her mind tuned this way and that, listening to the other dragons. ~Arrowth, come back and fetch some of the Weyrworkers. Indra has told Begun and Haset to take a look at that. Maybe our carpenters can device a way to remove the trees.~
The carpenter and the woodcutter was used with handling trees daily, so their expertice would be an importent aid to get the dragons out safely.

Va'ja nods to Eli' "Lets go check out behind the weyrlingbarrac. I'van said we could start where-ever we wanted and I for one would like to get that area clean first"

Ka'el and Ga'el exchanges glances then nods to one another. "We will go start with the area beneath the infirmary ledge" they tell the younger man that had introduced himself as the Weyrlingmaster.
I'van nods back towards them before looking around at the rest of the group of voulenteer workers, weyrlings and candidates. "I would like some of you to go check out the kitchen gardens. Repotr their state to the head chef before you start cleaning it up though."

((Sure, she can be turned into an NPC if you want to. Or you can just keep her around while not playing her so much. That is pretty much how it is for half my fair anyhow. Your choise Mirkwood.))

A little while.. actually, more like a longer while, after Biddy left, Niennaths mind streches out and searches Medinaths mind. ~Mine says take note of what littlies are gone, then bury them Between. No need to upset their bonded with the sight of their bodies~

MirkwoodPrincess01
ooc: I think an NPC would be best. I prefer playing with Selene/Lillith, anyways.

Wena182
Arrowth immediately responded to Niennath's command he did not take R'huk with him as he would need to bear the two weyrworkers back down her. He carefully pushed off othe ground and drew steadily upward only causing a slight shifting of rock. He winged back to the Weyr and waited for the two helpers to come. Soon they came and Arrowth reached out and instructed them to mount him and he would convey them down. He wasn't one for speaking to other's but such dire occasions as this called for it. He bore the two down back to where Tine, R'huk, Milly, and Ryn were. Begun and Haset studying the predicament decided which course of action would be best to take. Arrowth addressed Gareth and Terieth. *If we start moving things and it hurts you notify us immediately.* R'huk said allowed. "Try to keep your dragons calm." R'huk said although the dragons were probably two exhausted to get worked up. But R'huk knew if he was trapped he would panic and try to get himself free.

E'li turned and nodded to Va'ja. And although he would never admit it or say it outloud he would like his bed area to be clean of debris. A selfish thought given the circumstances and he admonished himself quickly. He started plucking his way acroos the weyrbowl and through the debris to the weyrling barracks.

MirkwoodPrincess01
Selene finishes taking care of Milly and Ryn's wounds, carefully ushering the two exhausted dragonriders out of the way.

~Lillith, contact the Healers.~ she says, replacing the first aid kit. ~ I want to get Milly and Ryn back to the Weyr as soon as possible, and I don't want to hurt them any more than they already are.~

Of course. Lillith replies, and then reaches out to Red Davenroth, whose rider, X'ris, is one of the Healers. Davenroth, it's Lillith. We've found Gareth and Terieth and their riders, but we need the Healers to be ready to take care of Milly and Ryn. Could you ask X'ris what he thinks the best way would be for transporting them out of here? It's doubtful that they'd be able to get out on foot, and dragon-back is looking like the only way out.

Biadora
~Ailisondeths, Sugoths and Mine is working on it~ Davenroth reassures her back.
~Their minds seems to think that the best course would to bring them southesta, towards the beach. There we can land and use strechers to bring them up to the Weyr. ~

MirkwoodPrincess01
Alright. Thank you, Davenroth. Lillith says, and relays the information to Selene.

'We need to head South-East a bit, so you can be escorted out a-dragonback.' Selene tells Milly and Ryn. 'The healers will be there soon.'

The two weyrworkers was meanwhile moving about, measuring with their arms, and discussing how to move some of the trees, and what trees they would have to cut into pieces to move.
One of them walks up to R'huk. "Excuse me redrider...eh, junior weyrleader" he adds with a bit of a sideways smirk -news had spread about the mans new title. Getting serious again in a hearthbeat, the man continues "my companion and I am discussing how long it will take. We can spot at least three trees that needs to be moved. If we put ropes around the trees at the right places, do you thing your dragons could either help to pull them off, or perhaps even lift them? The first one we can move, but usually we would use a pair of bulls or runners to pull it off..."

The second weyrworker looked about, then walks over to Selene. "Excuse me BlackRider?" he asks politely "I need to go back to the Weyr to fetch rope and pulleys. Could you take me there?"

Milly clasps one arm around Ryn, who had objected to leave her dragon. The candidatemistress shakes her pale head. "We will stay here and walk out with our dragons."
She looks behind her then sighs as she goes back to trying to keep Ryn calm. "Terieth is merely tired, but Gareth is in pain. He tries to hide it but.."

Wena182
R'huk mouth tightened for a moment and then edged up slighlty in a devious sort of smile. There were more important things at hand then his fling with Indra and the man went on quickly. He glanced at Arrowth and then at the trees. They weren't all that big but it may cause some strain on Arrowth's wings. 'Hang it,' R'huk thought to himself. 'A bit of strain won't kill him.' *Arrowth can you lift those?* *Yes.* Arrowth responded. R'huk was well aware of his own dragon's limitations but both rider and dragon always saw fit to push those boundaries. R'huk nodded in agreement with the two female riders. He wouldn't consider them true riders if they chose to leave their dragons. "Of course. I need you here to keep your dragons calm." R'huk said and then looked sternly at Ryn who was obviously very distressed and said in a soothing yet stern tone. "You need to be calm for Gareth right now, alright? Arrowth is going to get those trees off them as quickly and as safely as he can. The worst is over now." *Where do you hurt, Gareth?* Arrowth asked the khaki. He would relay it to Tine's and T'iem's dragons so that they could prepare for the dragon's injuries.

Biadora 2007-07-22
"Lets get them ropes first" the first weyrworker cautions. "We need to make sure the weight doesn't shift as the tree is moved"

The khaki does not respond right away. Ryn had sent R'huk a distressed semi-glare, then turned to stare at the mess of fallen trees, speaking mentally to her dragon. As she speaks, it is simultane with her dragons words "~The left wing and the lower parts of the tail hurts. We don't know if anything is broken or not~"

MirkwoodPrincess01
Selene nods to the weyrworker who requested a ride, Lillith crouching down in preparation of flight. 'Alright, let's go.' she says, motioning for the weyrworker to get up before climbing up herself. Lillith takes off with a spray of water, launching herself into the air. The Black heads back towards the Weyr, pumping her wings as fast as she can to cut down on travel time. She lands in the Weyrbowl after about ten minutes, backwinging until her feet touch the ground.

Skye1986
Skyila commanded Luxurianth to hover close to the water, and she looked down at the Dolphins.
"What is it?" she asked them.
"Girl from ship!" the dolphin said, looking over towards the shipwreck. "Over here!" The dolphin began to lead the way.
"Seems like a survivor," Skyila said to Zuri. "Let's get going." Luxurianth winged off, following the dolphin.

((I'll bring in my chars in the next one.))

Biadora 2007-07-22
As the black touches down, the worker is quick to get down. It was not his first time flying, so he knew how to get off and on dragons decently well.
He runs into the Weyr, and returns a while later with two sacks and a third helper carrying some tools in yet another bag.
"This should be what we need, and then some in case we have to improvise" he tells Selene a bit breathless as he helps the younger lad, an apprentice, up onto the black dragons back, before getting up again himself.

MirkwoodPrincess01
'Good. Let's get going.' Selene replies, feeling slightly cramped now that there were two other people besides herself sitting astride Lillith's back, but ignores in in light of the fact that they are there to help Milly and Ryn and their dragons get back to the Weyr. Lillith rises into the air, wings adjusting to the extra weight before soaring out towards the beach. The Black lands with a heavy thump and a spray of seawater a meter or so away from the others, hurriedly crouching down to let her riders disembark.

Biadora 2007-07-22
Asking her Rider for some help, the two men much slower gets off the dragons back -both of them found that more hard then mounting up.
But soon enough they were back at the site, and begins to work on getting the trees removed.
The helper begins to prepare the ropes, slinging it around one tree at two locations, the first man grabs and axe and begins to remove those branches that needed to be cut, as they were tanlged with branches of the next tree leaning over the two dragons.

Wena182
Medinath followed Luxurianth downwards and stopped to hover just above the water as the dolphin's flipped and squeed right below her. Zuri made a hand gesture to show Skyila that she heard and told Medinath to follow. The dolphins soon lead back to a secluded part of the beach and once the water got shallow one leaped out of the water and pointed with her nose in the direction they were obviously supposed to go.

"Girl there! Girl there!" One of the dolphin's said shrilly. "Me Bowl. Bowl save girl."

"Thank you Bowl." Zuri shouted down to the dolphin and she had Medinath head to the beach. She could see a large lump on the beach but it was hard to make out from this distance. Medinath landed on the beach a safe distance from th girl and Zuri jumped down. And hurried to the girl's side.

The girl was lying face down in the sand and she made no movement other than the slow and irregular rise and fall of her chest. The girl was thin and tiny and it was a mircale that her body had not been pounded in pulp by the thrashing waves and flying debris. Sea plants were tangled in her brown hair and dirt caked her legs and arms. Her clothes were tattered beyond all recognition. There was a myriad of scratches on her thighs, calves, arms, face, and torso. There was a deep gash on her left hand side. She was completely soaked.

Zuri was at first afraid that the girl was dead and then she noticed a slight rise in her chest. She was breathing. The girl had to be young judging by the size of her. Zuri as gently as she could turned the girl so that she was on her back. She was surprised to see a shock of white hair close to her forehead. Perhaps she was older then she had initially thought but her face was still young but not a child certainly. *Medinath this girl needs a healer fast. Ask Indra if we should bring her back to the Weyr or return to get a healer. I don't know if she is fit for travel.* Zuri grasped the girl's wrist to find her pulse it was there, erratic and faint. *Niennath we found a shipwreck and there is a survivor she is badly hurt.*

R'huk and Arrowth both listened as the rider and dragon told them both at the same time. The pair responded with 'okay' at the same time. R'huk waited as Selene and Lillith went to go fetch the ropes. R'huk offered to help the woodworkers as the returned taking an axe to hack away at the branches that were sure to catch and get in the way. *We will have you out soon.* Arrowth said soothingly to Terieth and Gareth.

~Indra says to send Ailisondeth.. ah..~ The young queens attention shifts, and a few moments returns, but now also the brush of the copper dragoness mind can be felt, as Ailisondeth listens in. ~Ailisondeth can't reach Terieth and Gareth so they are coming your way.~ ~Does she have any wounds?~ Aili breaks in, the dragoness mindvoice hauntingly alike her Riders.
~Nonath and Hers are coming with blankets. When she is warmed up you can bring her over~ ~Yes, flying wet might worsen her condition~ the copper agrees.
A glint in the sun reflexs off her hide, as the large dragon veers to dive, increasing her speed to fly the short distance to the other side of the isle.

With considerable work, the weyrworkers son gets the first tree read.
"Right," one of the men tells R'huk as he comes back to him, handind him four thick ropes. "if you think your dragon can lift that log, now is the time to try it."
The ropes was fastened a bit in on the two ends of the log, and if lifted more or less straight up, the log would hopefully end up dangling like a swing inunder the dragon.
"The importent thing is for your dragon to keep the ropes about the thinner parts of the tree streched as he takes off. If he ends up lifting the base first more weight will be put on those inunder the second tree."

Wena182
*Hurry.* Medinath replied feeling her rider’s concern. *Mine says that her pulse is faint and erratic and that she is unconscious. She is banged up and has got a deep gash on her side.* Medinath told Ailisondeth relaying what Zuri told her of the girl. Zuri had a natural accutness when it came to health. And her words sounded very much like a healer’s even though she wasn’t one in the slightest sense. At one time she had wanted to be taken on as a healer assistant in the weyr.

"He can do it." R'huk said confidentely. He took the ropes and gave them to his dragon who grasped them in his claws and prepared to take off. *Did you catch all that?* R'huk said as to the technique the man explained. *Yes. I've got it.* "Okay," he said out loud backing away from his dragon and motioning for the other's to give him some room. Being as skillful as he could Arrowth took off carefully and slowly edged higher to till the ropes were taut. He hovered for a moment as if steeling himself up to lift and then he began straining upwards. The trees were exceptionally heavy. And Arrowth was not a large dragon by any means. He tried to balance out the need to be careful so as not to cause a shift and the need to exert enough force to lift off the tree. After straining himself for a few mintues the tree lifted off with only a minimal amount of shifting. *Well done Arrowth.* Arrowth sounding as if he was out of breath responded. *Where shall I put them?* *Place it out of the way.* Arrowth winged off to find a suitable place to place the fallen tree.

Skye1986
Luxurianth landed near the silver, and Skyila jumped down. She followed Zuri over to the girl, and was relieved to find she was still alive.
'She needs a healer," she said to her Dragon.
~Medinath has already called for Niennath~ She replied to her rider. Skyila nodded then gazed down the beach. A boy was running towards them...or more like limping.
"Zuri," she gasped slightly, pointing, then without further hestitation, she ran to meet the boy.
"You...riders?" he gasped out.
"Yes, I am Skyila, rider of Green Luxurianth, and this is Zuri, rider of Silver Medinath." She gazed over him and noticed he had injuries, though not severe. "Were you in the shipwreck?" She asked him. He nodded.
"I am Daren, rider, my sister, Ella, she's back there...unconcious, please, you have to help her!"
"You left her alone?" Skyila asked, slightly shocked.
"No, a Dolphin is with her, it got lost from its pod and helped us."
"Tale!" one of the Dolphins cried. Skyila turned to Zuri.
"You wait here and help her, we'll be right back." She went over to her Green, then looked at Daren. "You'd better come, I won't know the way on my own." He nodded and went over to her. She helped him up and they went. Daren told her the way, and soon they came across a girl lying on the sand, with a Dolphin nearby. Luxurianth landed and the two dismounted. Skyila ran to Ella's side. The girl was unconcious, and had sustained more injuries than her brother. "We'd best get her back to Zuri, there are others on their way there," she explained. Daren nodded.
~Skyila and I have found two more survivors of the shipwreak, and one has sustained some serious injuries~ Luxurianth told Niennath. Skyila carefully looked over Ella.
"Can she be moved?" she asked her Dragon. The Dragon made a response, and Skyila bent down. "We have to be careful." The two got Ella upright. The girl opened her eyes.
"Ella!" Daren gasped.
"Daren...?" she whispered.
"This is rider Skyila, she's here to help us." Ella nodded slightly and closed her eyes again. Daren gasped.
"She'll be fine," Skyila said firmly. "Let's get her back." She looked at the Dolphin. "Are you Tale?"
"Yes!" she said.
"We know where your pod is, you'd better follow." Luxurianth flew overhead as they made their way back to Zuri. Skyila carefully put Ella down when they reached them.
"She's got some injuries, but she's woken once. I think she'll be ok, but I'm no healer."

Wena182
((Just to clarify I don't know when the ship sank but Adina (my charrie) has been in the sea for three days. And she was elusive so Daren and Ella probably would not recognize her or know her. :) ))

Zuri was focused on on the girl lying on the beach so she didn't at first notice Skyila pointing to the boy limping down the beach. Until she heard a distinctly different voice from Skyila speaking. She turned around to stare at him and listen. She was torn between staying with the girl and going to help in the end she just listened to what Skyila told her to do and stayed with the girl. Although she tried to convince Daren to stay and let Skyila handle it but he was already off to go help his sister. Zuri was took of her riding jackey and placed it around to girl to try and warm her up. It was dangerous for your body to get to cold. When the group returned Zuri was still bustling about trying to make the girl comfortable. She had taken off her shirt and had ripped it and tied it around her side to try and stop the blood flow. Zuri shivered slightly in the cold and turned to regard Skyila and the other two survivors. He muscular body exposed for all to see. "Sit down to take the weight off your leg." She ordered Daren before walking over to survey Ella. She checked her pulse and looked over her injuries. "I'm not a healer either but I know some things. She will be okay. They both will pull through with some rest and proper medical attention. *Medinath see if the the healers on their way are bringing water. They must be dehydrated.* *Mine says that make sure to bring water. They've had nothing to drink but seawater for days.* Medinath broadcasted.

The little girl was still unconcious. Her little body hadn't withstood the storm's rage as well as the other two survivors.

As soon as Arrowth moved the first of the trees away, the three weyrworkes went forward to check on the two dragons.
One more tree layed over them, as well as branches from several other trees.
"We need to clear away some of these branches before we can move the second tree." the woodsman predicts. He motions at his apprentice, then over at R'huks direction. "You go with the redrider and fetch the rope. The rest of you, come along and help out. Just be careful where you put your footing, the branches might shift unexpectedly"
With those words the men sets to work, Milly and Ryn soon joining them.

Ailisondeth glides down to land beside Medinath, but lifts her head to scan towards Luxuriath as she hears the greeens words.
The huge dragon had a strecher-craddle attached, so she was ready for her ambulance duty.
Tine quickly skidds down the ragoness back, her first aid kit in hand.
"Use this to stop any bloodflow" she says, tossing Zuri a roll of bandage.
She throws Skylia a small thermos. "Hot klah. Warms them up" she explains in short cut, hurrid language.
With that, she kneels by Ella, the girl who had a boy hover over. She checks over her wounds and silently makes a preliminary diagnosis. "I think we can fly her to the Weyr. Help me lift her over to the strecher" she orders n a no-nonsens tone.

MirkwoodPrincess01
Selene moves forwards to help, careful to keep her footing off loose branches and assorted debris. Lillith waits in the background, knowing that at the moment she would be more a hinder than a help to the workers.

Wena182
R'huk followed after the apprentice who scurried to do his master's bidding. *Are your wings holding up.* *Yes they are fine.* Arrowth said making sure to mask the slight feeling of strain in his wng joints. The pair soon had the ropes and were returning to the others making sure to be careful and offer their assistance in removing branches. R'huk watched Milly and Ryn carefully to much physical exertion might to do some harm after the stress of the last few days.

Zuri caught the bandage in midair and quickly hurried to kneel at the unconcious girl's side. This was a much more effective bandage. She quickly took off the parts of her ripped shirt that were now soaked in blood and she used the bandage to tightly wrap the wound up. It was lucky that zuri knew how to do little things like this for unskilled hands would do no good. Zuri stays beside the unconcious girl smoothing her hair gently as if trying to comfort her even in her current unresponsive state. She wanted to wait for a more thorough assement from Tine on the girl's condition. She knew not much beyond the simply things in the healer craft. *Don't fret mine.* *She is in good hands.* *She has been through a lot.* *That is no lie. There is hope though.*

((I am going to speed things along a bit, due to me going away during the upcoming week)).

During the next hour or so, work progress.

Tine check ver the three injured youths, then asks one of the Riders to come along with her to the infirmary, while asking the other to check with the dolphines for eventual more survivors.
Ailisondeth carries the strecher to the infirmary ((new board coming up for there)).

The trees are finally moved from the two dragons, and Terieth takes off, with Milly on her back, to shakily fly her own way back to the Weyr.
Gareth, with his broken wing, is more troublesome. The dragon needs to be helped back to his weyr, but walking gets difficult due to the stormfallen trees.

The weyrlings cleaning near the weyrlinghall takes notice that a pair of shutters have blow asunder. This has resulted in two of the windows to the Weyrlingaarrac breaking. It also shows that all the Weyrs shutters will have to be checked for damage. Can't have shutters that might break, not during Threadfall times...

Wena182
Arrowth and R'huk finished helping move the trees and were happy to see that the dragons were more or less okay. Instead of flying directly back to the Weyr they followed Gareth and Ryn out. They wanted to keep an eye on Ryn and Gareth. And they assisted in moving some of the trees that were to obtrusive for the khaki to pass safely.

E'li was one of the weyrlings whom had spotted the broken shutter and he had set to work checking the others for damage.

((I'll post Zuri on the other Thread for injuries. I will also probably post that Arrowth sprain/strains his left wing joint and has to rest for a few days before being allowed to fly.))

Skye1986
Daren immediatly collapsed at Zuris words, glad to be off his leg, and glad he and his sister were now in the care of riders. Skyila caught the thermos and thrust it into Darens hands, ordering him to drink, as she turned and helped Tine with Ella.
"Your sister is in good hands," she says softly to Daren, then smiled at Tine and helped lift the girl onto the stretcher. She turned quickly and asked Tale to go with her pod to find out if there were more survivors. The Dolphins spread out and eventually returned looking sad. Tale went forward.
"Repoorrtt!" she called. "No one, Tale and Pod could not find anyone..."
"Thanks, Tale, you go be with your pod again." Tale went off whistling.
Skyila went back and related this bad news to Tine and Zuri, and then followed them back to the Weyr.

Biadora 2007-07-22
Gareth makes it bearly down to the beach on shaky legs. Aside his injured, the dragons was hungry and dehydrated after that time crunched down, carrying the weight of the trees over his wings.
For the next hour, Tine checks over his wings, checking him for other injuries as well.
Finally somewhat content, the kakhi are orderd, and reluctantly complies, to climb up onto Ailisondeths back.
The copper bearly takes off, and returns to the Weyr carrying the unwilling male on her back.
They land in the weyrbowl near the infirmary, upon which Tine calls for more helpers.

Wena182
With Gareth finally free and out of immediate danger Arrowth let exhaustion wash over him. And pain. Pain that R'huk felt immediately as he rushed to Arrowth's side to examine his tender left wing. Arrowth had over taxed himself the last couple of days. He had flown a Queen dragon in dangerous winds and lifted large felled trees. R'huk worked his hands over the sore joint. He was no healer but he believed the wing was just lightly strained. *Should we go to the infirmary?* *No.* Arrowth said being stubborn. It was funny really they both pushed other people to be cautious but they were not so themselves. *I don't want to make a fuss.* *Just take it easy the next few days no unnecessary flying.* *Fair enough.* The red responded.

After Zuri and Medinath had helped transfer the three survivors from the shipwreck to the Infirmary they returned to scanning. They soon could be seen landing on the shoreside. Zuri did not want to do it but she had to. She went forward and found the Weyr's dead flits taking note of which ones had died. She had told all her flits except the older more mature Biddy to return to the Weyr. Biddy crooned sadly at the sight of their bodies but she did her job helping Zuri to identify who they were and who they belonged to. ((Which flitters should have died Bia?))

Biadora 2007-07-22
((You can pick one of Millys flits, and two from anyones who are marked as inactive, with *s. I think I already had a few killed of earlier, but as I can't find them on the death list...))

Wena182
There were five dead weyr flits that Zuri had recovered. After she had them all identified she loaded them up onto Medinath and then took the trip between to drop them. The dead were Green Chisa, Bronze Thantos, Moonshine (f) Verae, Turquoise Tera, and Green Midori. The came out above the weyr with their load gone. Biddy chirped sadly and sulked off to be alone. Zuri had the unhappy task of going and locating the dead flits bonded and informing them. Although they probably already knew or else they had been to absorbed in the storm to notice the slight twang in their hearts.
