Changes Dec 22nd
General
- Many in game/lobby text changes calling you a nub!

Aztecs
-Puma now have 7 speed (down from 8)

Spain
-War dog HP to 90
-Build limit increased to 15
-Attack decreased to 4 (from 5)
-Improved explorer also increases WarDog build limit from 15 to 21
- (DON"T KNOW HOW TO MAKE WAR DOG LIKE TASHUNKE PROWLER SRY!)

India
-Rajput build limit of 15
-Discipline Rajput upgrade also increases build limit from 15 to 21
-Discipline Rajput upgrade now costs 250 wood, 150 gold.
-Royal green jackets now gives gurkha +15% HP instead of +1x vs HI
-Flail elephants now transport infantry or villagers!


Sioux
-Bow riders made into sieging/scouting unit
-LOS to 25
-Siege damage reduced to 30

China
-Flying crow +2 Range/LOS
-Flying crow made trainable age4+ from castle
-Cost : 100 wood 600 gold



(I didn't know how to do what ha_nub was saying about the aura, but i set up everything else for wardog/rajput so that they have build limit +cards/upgrades that increase build limit!)

Ok, I just got the rajput working. Now I need to balance it, I want to nerf the base stats, increase the build limit and maybe nerf the bonus (maybe lower the cost).

For the war dogs I think the build limit is good.

I don't have time now, will do it tonight.

Yes. And then we will need to balance test again, especially the BB's.

@ha_nub_331, for the rajput build limit, i didn't do this, but maybe it will be intersting if you give them another build limit increase for honored and exalted upgrades as well so that they won't be uber OP until other units are uber OP lol!

Wardogs share the same tactics file as all other pets. So it's very easy to give all pets the same ability.

Shall I do that? Of course some pets might need a nerf.

EDIT:
I'm testing rajputs now. If I give them 130 hp (down from 150), and let them have + 2 hp for every rajput they break even with the old rajputs when you have 10 of them (130 + 20 hp). When you have 25 new rajputs they perform the same as 25 disciplined rajputs (130 + 50 = 150 + 20%).

Is that ok? Or UP? Or OP?

and ha luke, be really careful with pets because remember that russia can train pet rhinos lool so rhino's will need massive nerf if this applies to all pets :P

and also idk if converted guardians are considered pets? If they are then IMO war chiefs should be nerfed, but if they aren't then only thing that needs to be nerfed is rhinos (also put build limit for them as well)

I made them break even at 10, so you are proposing a nerf? Or do you mean that they should perform as disciplined rajputs when you have 15 of them?

The thing is, I want to see large groups of them and if they are as good as disciplined rajputs if you have 15 of them, they will be become very very strong when you have 25 of them. But I also don't want to suck big time the moment you lose just a few of them. I see now why it was so hard for ES to balance tashunkes :)

Yes, I think they become pets the moment you convert them.

I don't know if it was such a good idea, I like Rhino's the way they are. I think I just do the dogs.

oh i misunderstood you at first, i thought you said that new disciplined rajputs only perform as well as old discipline rajputs when there are 25 of them(break even at 25 seems pretty UP lol), you meant that regular new rajputs are like discipline rajputs when 25 of them :P, so ya i think that should be good :D

ya IMO just make it for dogs if that's possible and not for other animals

if you don't want to have to think too much about balancing alternatively you could just make the rajput bonus so it increases speed rather than HP or attack *party*

Lol just tested to see if I could increase the speed with that bonus, and it does works! Really funny to see 24 speed rajputs move, while having the game speed set to fast *heyhey*

So now I have think of a good unit to give it to.

No they don't; they retain the guardian tag, which is why you can still snipe or stun them.

Hmmmmm, Some ideas fo Japan, make samurais super kewl, make all the upgrade cards for ashi and yumi, for samurai. make them decent without them, and with them very pwnz0r? Probably will get rejected bai wonexwon but w/e :(

Ok, here's my update:

- Each Rajput gives + 0.65 attack
- Each Rajput gives + 2.08 hp
- 10 'new' colonial Rajputs have about the same stats as 10 'old' colonial Rajputs ( 150 hp and 18 atttack)
- 25 'new' colonial Rajputs have about the same stats as 25 'old' disciplined Rajputs (180 hp and 21.6 attack)

Aztec
- Arrow Knights now really fly

General Changes
- Advanced Balloon can attack now by throwing grenades
- Normal ranged attack is just 15
- Normal Siege attack is 15
- They have one special bomb with 500 attack and 4 area damage (8x buildings)


Don't ask how sucky it is to give a balloon an attack that works properly. The balloon needs a normal ranged attack and building attack or else it will uses the special bomb as it's normal attack (with a fast ROF). The normal/building attacks are grenades that explode like grenades and the special bomb is a grenade that explodes like a mortar shell *heyhey*

If we don't want them to have a normal attack I always can change the attack to 0, or give it a different anim so that it won't attack (although you still see the little attack sword when you see an enemy unit, and you still can press attack. The balloon will then fly to the target but not attack the target).

The balloon can't be attacked (yet). I'm giving them 900/1000 hp and he can only attacked by ranged units.

Nick, can you make him trainable in your TC when the ballon dies (like a Damiyo in the Shogunate)?

I thought I give it a try myself and added it to the Dutch. The problem is that the Big button is in the way :( I'll leave it to you to solve it ;) , moving the BB to other buildings for the civs that have trouble, or let the balloon be trained from another building.

I made some changes in the protoy, the balloon now has 900 hp, can be attacked only by ranged units, cost 500 gold and has a build limit of 1.

Here is the protoy, please use this one if you have new changes.

I'll download and use that instead. I will do some changes too, for example making the Arrow Knights look a little more realistic :P
Also, Ruyters are supposed to be flying units, so I'll make them fly too.

EDIT: I'll do it when I get home...going to the cinema now lol.

They look kinda stupid (although more realistic than when simply standing in the air), but then again not much makes sense in this patch :P

Rod change:

Attack is 11.

Bonus vs Infantry: 0.75x
Bonus vs HeavyInfantry: 1.333333x
Bonus vs Handinfantry: 1.5x

This will give them effectively:

vs Skirmtypes (only Infantry): 0.75x

vs Musk-types (Infantry + HeavyInfantry): 0.75 x 1.33333 = 1x (so normal damage)

VS pike-types (Infantry + HeavyInfantry + HandInfantry): 0.75 x 1.33333 x 1.5 = 2x

So rods will now counter HandInfantry, but do worse vs Skirms-types

i think now that European and warchiefs cics have BB upgrades,asian civs should also be given some BB
upgrades
IMO

japan tc=loyalty(daymos aura effect increased by so so %)
japan rax=bushido(samurai stats increased and maybe make cavlery multiplier 2.3 :P )

india tc=elephant drill(elephants are faster and have more hp :O)
india castle=long cannons(siege elephants range and damage increased with giving 1 more area damage)

china tc=pillaging training(all caverly[meteors flails and steppes]do more seige damage)
china castle=alchemy(flamethorwers attack increased greatly)

these were just my tips feel free to make any changes and etc
