=O should we mod fp? OP i have OP ideas but it will be hard to complete. 1st. In each civ u can choice betwhen(generals) or... wut should i say ...... if u are french can u choice betwhen diffrent famous kings emperors like napoleon and every general have their own special soliders and abilitys. 2nd. Get more civs! Idk if its possible but maybe we could add all civs in europe . 3rd. A mad civ. A civ who makes diffrent anmals as units! It could be fun . use ducks for ships "monsters" for war like a mod rhino................. Idk if this is possible but it could be fun. |

1. This sounds impossible, but I'm not sure what you mean. 2. It may be possible but I think it doesn't work well with ESO (can't remember really) 3. If we are to make new civs ofc we need to do a mad civ

@nick: The civ replacement means can't create another HC.... but there is still all civs there. Dunno how it would work on ESO as I haven't played NE there. @kapow: I think he means something like that, but imo it would be better to do like 3 Tech trees per civ for example. Like a tech enables another but lock two, something like that but more deep would be OP imo. Also I could get some time to code. |

Hmm...I think I read somewhere that it was possible to create more civs, just that they couldn't have AIs. So we might not have to delete any civ. |

21 So anyone got ideas for this new civ? Unique units, OP shipments, special bonuses? ![]() IMO it needs Monster Trucks (Tommy, Andy and the Ice Cream Truck). Oh and all buildings have to fly around. And a cannon as it's explorer-type unit. And ofc monkeys (or maquaques or however its spelled) for vills ![]() EDIT: actually maybe just a monkey civ. With trees as buildings 111111 Hmm, or maybe because there aren't enough monkey-like units for an entire civ, make a civ with only animals as units? *mods*

21 Ok how about this: Units Macaque = Villagers Grizzly Bear = Explorer Wolf = Pikeman (age 2) Black Bear = Hussar (age 2) Alligator = anti-HI (age 2) Orantuan = Skirmisher/Grenadier (age 2) Lion = Musketeer (melee, age 3) Jaguar = fast anticav (age 3) Elephant = Heavy cavalry unit (cuirassier-like, age 3) Rhino = meatshield (age 3) Deer = livestock Shark = fishing boat Orca = warship (age 2) Black Panther = spy (age 2) Bison = priest (age 2) Buildings Town Center = redwood tree (trains Macaques) Outpost = palm tree (cheaper and more spammable than regular outposts) House = some sort of tree (cheap but gives only like 3 pop so you need lots of them lol) Market/church = a rock (age 2, trains Black Panthers and Bison) Dock = a flock of ducks (age 1, trains Sharks and Orcas) Mill/Livestock pen = buildable berry bush (trains Deers) Plantation = buildable gold mine Military building = ??? I'm not completely sure of the design of this civ yet, so please come with suggestions. I think it would be fun if this civ had lots of different units. We (probably) can't use all of these, but I made a list of the animals in the game anyway: Monkey-like animals - Tibetan Macaque - Snow Monkey - Lion-tailed Macaque - Orangutan Cat-like animals - Black Panther - Cougar - Lion - Snow Leopard - Tiger - Jaguar - White Tiger Bears - Black Bear - Grizzly Bear - Panda - Polar Bear Wolf-like animals - Wolf - White Wolf - Coyote Reptiles - Alligator - Monitor Lizard - Giant Salamander Large animals - Rhino - Elephant Flying Birds - Eagle - Parrot - Snowy Owl Land Birds - Rhea - Turkey Deer-like animals - Deer - Guanaco - Serow - Saiga - Caribou - Elk - Moose - Ibex - Musk Deer - Nilgai - Pronghorn - Horse Other animals - Bison - White Bison - Musk Ox - Tapir - Capybara - Bighorn Sheep - polo Polo Sheep My ideas: Some of these ideas are different from ideas in the other post here, which basically justs means that I'm still thinking lol. In the Discovery age you can't make any "military animals". Your vills are Tibetan Macaques, and your Explorer is a Grizzly Bear. Maybe you can also start with a Parrot for scouting. The Colonial age can be the age of the smaller animals: monkeys (except Orangutans), wolves, the Monitor Lizard, deer-like animals and Tapirs: - Lion-tailed Macaques act as a Pikeman-like unit. - Snow Monkeys act like a semi-fast cavalry unit - Wolves are a fast raiding unit - Monitor Lizards are a anti-infantry unit - Deers are a fast, spammable meatshield- and pathblocking-unit - Elks, Saiga, Serow, Guanaco, Musk Deers and other deer-like units can have similiar functions - Serows are healers - Tapir are livestock In the Fortress age you can access the cat-like units, Orangutans, Black Bears, Pandas, Alligators, Horses, Bison, Bighorn Sheep, Musk Oxen, Elks, Eagles and Turkeys: - Black Panthers are a stealthy Spy-unit - Lions are all-around good units with an advantage vs cavalry - Tigers are fast cavalry good against skirmishers and archers - Jaguars are fast anti-cavalry units - Cougars are specialized at taking out artillery, and therefore have low hitpoints but a high siege resistance - Snow Leopards are fast raiders that are good against buildings and villagers - Orangutans are long-ranged skirmishers/grenadiers good against infantry and light cavalry - Black Bears are melee artillery with an area attack that is devasting against infantry - Pandas are all-around decent against everything - Alligators are slow units with high ranged resistance and a huge melee attack - Mooses have similiar stats to Musketeers (ranged attack as well), and act like them too - Horses are fast units that can transport troops - Bison are a livestock unit - Bighorn Sheep have a large melee resistance, high speed, but no attack - Musk oxen have a high ranged resistance, high speed, but no attack - Elks are slow, but have huge line of sight and can spot stealth units - Eagles are ranged flyers that fire lazers xD - Turkeys are like Petards: they explode and suicide to kill enemies In the Imperial age you can train Elephants, that are basically huge high-hitpoint monster trucks. In the Industrial age you can access Rheas, White Bison, Snow Owls and the heavy Rhinos and Polar Bears: - Rhinos are high-hitpoint cuirassier-like cavalry - Polar Bears are strong infantry units with area damage (sort of like dopples) - Rhea are fast ranged Dragoon-like anticav - White Bison are artillery that fire cannonballs lol - Snow Owls are flying bombers that launch grenades I realize these are MANY units, but hey, the animal kingdom is rich of variety, eh? ![]() Also several of these are already made, and most of them will take like 2 mins each lol. As for the buildings: - Redwood Tree (Town Center): Trains Tibetan Macaques and Parrots, revives explorer - Oak Tree (House): gives a small ammount of population and trains all deer-like meatshield units, Bighorn Sheep and Musk Oxen - Palm Tree (Outpost): more spammable but also weaker than regular outposts. Trains Parrots, Eagles and Snow Owls - Japanese Tree (Church): trains Serows, Elks, Horses and Black Panthers - Tropical Tree: trains Snow Monkeys, Lion-tailed Macaques and Orangutans - Maple Tree: trains Black Bears, Wolves, Mooses, Rhea, White Bison and Turkeys - Ashoka tree: trains all cat-like units except Black Panthers - Marsh tree: trains Monitor Lizards and Alligators - Bamboo: trains Pandas - Snowy Pine: trains Polar Bears - Ginkgo tree: trains Rhinos and Elephants - Berry Bush (Farm/Livestock Pen): trains Tapir and Bison and can are infinite food sources - Swimming flock of ducks (Dock): trains Sharks (Fishing boats) and Orca (warship) I think it would be best, and kind of interesting, if the animal civ doesn't use coin. I mean, what would animals use coin for? ![]() This gives a more efficient economy, but means that they can't have a Market (which would be impossible to make anyway btw). Ducking awesome ideas nick couple of questions: how big will the trees be? do they have to be the size of the trees ingame? because I think that their bases will look pretty pathetic. Obviously not all trees have to be massive but i think that if their TC was the size of a hesperides tree from aom that would be pretty epic also, would villagers still be able to chop their 'tree buildings' down? it would be pretty coll if the only way to destroy their base was to chop it down would the animals still be able to use ranged attacks? I just cant imagine a moose firing a gun

OP ideas nick =P hmmmm why we dont make a new game AOA age of animals? we can just change all civs!! and do 3 "desert civs" like spain ports and otto. they have diffrent snakes prob rock houses and diffrent abillitys. And 3 djungle civs! very ranged civs many poisen things and monkeys. 3 snow civs! elks horses and the awesome polar bears. prob we can do kinda farm civs =P cats pigs and dogs lol they have a "tc house" where spam the only human unit in the game ..... farmers! ur explo will be a big pig ! u can make "barns" google translate which train their cavs "cows" or other units. a tractor that gather res.

Ok I'm modding again now. On the new civs issue, theres some good news and some bad news. Bad news: new civs will not be playable on ESO as they require HCs to be manually created through coding. Playing ESO will still be possible, but you can't play the new civs there. Good news: It will be possible to play the new civs over LAN, Gameranger, Voobly (I think) etc. |

Its possible to create new units without replacing old, however they must be based on an existing unit and can only have stuff that already exists in the game. |

1 Im working on the animal civ now. It would be great if you guise could come up with some ideas (that are possible to make). I especially need ideas for Home City shipments and in-game upgrades, but unit and tree (buildings) ideas are great as well. EDIT: btw what do you guise think about an animal version of Revolution called Evolution? ![]() EDIT2: also how do you feel about the civ having no ages, but instead you unlock different units and buildings through techs? Im proposing this for two reasons: 1. With a new Town Center (Redwood tree) its a bit hard to make aging up work correctly..I mean I can make substitute techs to ageup with, but ageup progress isnt displayed in the bar on the top of the screen, and I dont think the enemy is informed you have aged up. 2. the animal kingdom tends to gradually evolve instead of in quick bursts like humans have done (for example there was no industrial revolution in the animal kingdom) Edited by No_nickname, Apr 30 2011, 04:36 PM.

Definately do something similiar to rajputs when using pack/ herd/ flock/ troop animals, like wolves more attack the more of them there are. Then something for the others, more monkeys = hp boost? More deer/ moose = ranged resist boost? Idk just ideas, but i think it d be a nice touch. Or rather than this, have a head-of-the-pack style unit, similiar to mansabdars or daimyos with an aura that boosts unit stats..? And have you thought about what units they ll have in their navy? I think some interesting things can be done here
