Yeah, when you enter Greece you get a check/voucher with the amount your country has loaned divided by the number of people in that country. In my case this, the Netherlands have lend €5.400.000.000 and has a population of 16.700.000 (rounded up unfortunately), which means we've lend €323,- per person. After taxes (45%) there's €145,- left. So at the airport I got a check/voucher of €145,- , only usable in Greece.
I used €85,- of the €145,- for Dutch beers in Greece. Dutch brewery's have a profit of €0.20 per €1,- sold, so the Dutch brewery's have made a profit of €17,- of the money I got from the Greece government which they got from the Dutch government which they lend from European and American banks which are (partly) owned by European and American governments.
Big companies who have their HQ's in the Netherlands have made very favourable tax agreements with the Dutch government so they only have to pay 2.5% taxes of their profits. In other words, the Dutch brewery's pay €0.43 taxes for the money I've spend on their beers in Greece.
Since I'm not the only tourist from Holland and I think the numbers of my spending are very average we now can calculate the total amount of taxes the government earns of Dutch people buying Dutch beer in Greece with the money they've lend to the Greece government. About 200.000 Dutch people go to Greece every year, that gives us a total amount of €86.000,- of Tax income.
So people who say that we will never see our money back are clearly lying.
