Jasmine cautiously opened the doors and walked in just in time to hear Boris talking to Jay. "Glad to see nothings changed to much." She smiled as she disrobed from her heavy winter clothing and began to settle in for a feast. |

Sabella was pleased at Jasmine's arrival. Rayne squealed as the two hugged and she was trapped between them. Sabella took the squirmy child out of the sling and handed her over before sidling up against Jay. "I don't know about you all, but I'm ready to eat." |

"I couldn't agree more!", Boris said heartily as he continued to rub his stomach beneath his dark blue silk shirt with neon green flowers. The other hand brushed his long braided hair back over his shoulder. Feathers and beads dangled from the full length of his braid as he did so. The badger's hair was kept long, the length of it falling just above his wide backside. He couldn't help but notice that motherhood seemed to suit Sabella as he smiled to himself upon seeing her. Especially standing next to Jay as he was, he'd never let on that he'd always found the chocolate lab admirably beautiful. Today was no exception. |

The young Snow leopard girl followed Jasmine into the room. She recognized a few of the faces she saw there, but didn't know any names to go with those faces. Thus she stayed near by Jasmine, as the woman had promised Micha that she'd be safe here. |

The room was buzzing with people, Solan felt. Way too many for his taste, so he kept close to Frost, folding his ears back and quietly listening to people talk. For the time being everything seemed peaceful. But his gut told him that this was bound to change some day. The dragon was an entirely new matter. He had known that there were dragons in Trinton. And he had never believed much of it, despite reports and what have you. To actually see one stirred something inside the kid... "Does this one represent a friend...?", Solan asked quietly up to Frost, pointing in the general direction of paladin dragon. |

Frost helped seat Solan and then grabbed himself a chair; "I guess you don't remember him...he did kind of vanish halfway through our last little brawl but yes I feel he is a friend." At the same time Dan looked over at Boris and smiled halfway; "Well as far as I know no energy vamps, cyber-zombie hordes, psychos, or anything else has happened lately so...no its been a nice relief to return to normality." He smiled brightly. Jasmine rocked Rayne gently in her arms and playfully smiled before handing her god-child back to her mother for feeding time. "Here ya go Sabs.." Then Frost looked back over to the jolly raccoon; "Did you ever find Darkstar?" Suddenly the room went hush...not even Coatl or Sara dared ruin the silence as this had become a slightly touchy subject for Dan now, strange considering that he'd appeared happier with out his menacing little buddy of a tainted, cursed weapon. Then the silence was broken by Dan's voice, although only Sabella knew it to be opposite of what he displayed as everyone else felt it to be a true and cheer-filled one. "No I figure if that damned floating ego-on-a-stick wants to he'll come out of hiding sooner or later." He then winked and greeted Micha and lead her to the table along with Jay and the others. "Be right..." In a flash he vanished and a split second later everyone found glasses poured full of a sweet red wine which smelled delicious and then he reappeared; "..back." He grinned wildly and then offered a seat to Boris and the rest. "So I see you learned a new trick." Jasmine cooed at him when he got closer to the end of the table; "Actually how've you been?" "Busy." He replied and then finished by finally seating himself. "Well lets eat!" Edited by Frost, February 2, 2010, 12:29 am.

Boris kindly took the seat offered by Dan and sat down, he smiled a thin smile and nodded in appreciation. His thoughts were pricked with the realization that the racoon's seeming disdain for the scythe's disappearance was tinged with disappointment. Boris just shrugged it off figuring from what he'd seen before that Dan actually did enjoy the power the weapon granted him more than he'd let on to anyone. Boris also recalled the first time he'd met most of the people seated here. It was Frost that actually drew his attention away from The Underground long enough to take any interest in the affairs of the surface world. The white wolf's compassion to help others was what stood out most, though that compassion was not worn on the wolf's sleeve. In fact, quite the opposite, most times Frost seemed to bury it beneath his cold exterior; but Boris knew better. As the ole' badger sat in his chair looking across the faces, both old and new, he placed his paws in his lap. He had to be careful with his over-sized claws that he didn't accidently injure someone, or more embarrassingly slice through the table. His stomach let out a distinct rumbling noise. The fresh smells of the piping hot banquet laid out before him caused his mouth to salivate. He sat calmly watching everyone get comfortable around the long table. Dan grimaced slightly, secretly wishing for Darkstar to come back...and in his mind he heard a faint; 'Soon...' but was unsure if it was just his imagination. |

The benefit of being the new kid is the fact Elijia was able to play the fly on the wall. He glanced over at each of the conversations taking place. He heard Dan's proclamation about his weapon and his being happy it was no where to be found. He cast an eye at Frost and the little wolf puppy as the detective adjusted the child's shirt and placed a napkin around his collar. Elijia wondered why the kid seemed so distant all the time, almost like his soul was misplaced or did not belong in the body it had found itself in. He smiled softly as he caught bits and pieces of Jay and Sabella musing over being new parents. Jay seemed nervous however and he could not point out why, he figured it was the alcohol. Sara had made her way form the couch and taken a seat. He kept rubbing her eye, he only noticed because she seemed to be doing it as a reflex and perhaps did no even notice her actions herself. He looked at Coatl and Micha and nodded with a silent greeting. He felt a little odd however, he knew he was being observed and perhaps even judged but not a single person in the room spoke to him directly. His noble blood bound him to ethics that demanded he remained silent till spoken to, so he sat and enjoyed the ambiance of the crowd of friends. He raised his brow and looked to his side noticing Robert's friend. “Aye.” He said as a greeting. “Good evening to you.” The older woman said in a wispy but cheerful voice. “Its nice to meet another stranger. Whats your name young lady?” She giggled to herself and her face radiated not form the compliment but just as a natural response. “I am far from young, even by dragon standards I am quite old. I am Isla, spirit of the winds and good health. I have a life obligation to your friend here.” Elijia nodded. “I never understood these summoner types. Are you his pet?” She laughed “No, not at all. Think of me as a co-worker, however I have grown quite fond of him. He has a good heart.” “Ever feel completely alone in a crowded room?” Elijia said sipping the wine. “I feel that loneliness is only what you make of it.” Elijia smiled but his eyes frowned. “Child, don't feel that way. Remember every time you open your wings, its Isla's fingers lifting you into the air, your not alone.” Elijia looked at nothing in particular for a moment and then nodded with pursed lips. He raised his glass to her. “And for that, a toast to you.” |

Rayne rested in a high chair, her stubby fingers wrapped around a soft toy that she shoved unceremoniously into her mouth and clamped down with strong jaws. Sabella smiled at her daughter. "Well," she joked to the others, "I feel sorry for anyone who might want to date her in...oh...40 or 50 years. She has a lot of protection." Looking over at an inwardly morose Dan, Sabella wished she could lift his spirits even just a little. As she wished, she felt a cloud of warmth leave her and saw it wrap around and enter him, even as no one else seemed to see it. |
