When he came into the league, he made $5000, now 12 yrs later, Rafael Soriano has signed a 2 yr deal worth $9M.

Imagine that we sent HoRam to Seattle for this guy, I think we robbed them.

When it comes down to the 8th and 9th innings, You have the Aussie Side Winder, Peter Moylan then you have the Scowlin' Rafael Soriano throwing gas in the 9th. I wouldn't want to see these two at all if I am a hitter.

We saw what Moylan can do, he throws gas and he seems to have worked on another pitch this off season.

If we are smart, after this yr, we add a few more yrs onto this multi yr deal if he has an outstanding yr. We got him cheap considering what other closers are going for.

When Mike Gonzalez comes back, and I'm a batter I'd rather see Soriano or Moylan than Gonzalez.

Gonzo know the roll of closing from when he was a pirate. I would not want to see any of them really but the weaker of all of them would have to be peter. I wonder if bobby will go with a platoon closer once MIke is healthy.

I doubt it, I think it's Soriano's job to lose. If he is effective as the closer there's no reason to shake things up.

Too bad we traded Devine for nothing or we could have had a great bullpen going into '09.
