lulz@Maybin all the way down at #13. ESPN should really consider just removing themselves from serious baseball discussion. Buchholz and Kershaw should both be ahead of Joba. Bruce and Longoria could be switched, but either way its a moot point. Maybin should probably be 3. As far as Braves go, I think Shafer could be a little higher, and Heyward should be in the 50-55 range. If he develop his tools into a skill set though, I could see him eventually being worthy of a top 30 guy. |

They do predictions based on who will have the best career not who is the closest to the majors at this time. So no one is ever in the spot you think they should be. Most of the guys on that list are 1st rounders in 2007 and are just 18-19 years old. |

And Maybin projects a higher ceiling than everyone in front of him save Bruce, Longoria and Kershaw.. |

Cole Rohrbough is awesome! I can't wait til he is ready. I've been nuts about him before many fans noticed his success.

What day was that exactly?? Maybe one at a time, but when did we ever have 2-3 of the top 10 prospects?? I think our farm system is pretty damn good right now considering all we gave up to get Teix. I cant wait to see what Jordan can do. Reminds me of a Grady Sizemore type player. |

Good point. It's not unconditionally pretty damn good, though. It ranks in the top half of the league, and is awesome at the top with Shafer and Heyward, but just think.. Even if Salty was our every day first baseman at this point, thus no longer considered a prospect, our prospects would rank.. 1. Neftali Perez 2. Jordan Shafer 3. Jason Heyward 4. Brent Lilligbridge 5. Elvis Andrus Every single one of those guys have all-star caliber ceilings. I still can't believe how badly we got yanked in that deal. Luckily we had enough depth that it didn't absolutely kill the future. It just debilitated it, a lot. Without that deal, we'd rival the Dodgers and D'Backs for the best farm system in baseball. But hey, at least our rental at first base made us a third place team!
