i dont understand where you're getting that for the nba to be "taken over" by thugs that every single one would have to be a thug.

of course there are going to be exceptions. but the fact that they are exceptions simply further proves the atmosphere and the general rule.

The bottom line is that 2Brave really doesnt speak out of experience watching or following the NBA. He himself said that he doesnt watch it or follow it, so where does this generalization come from? I know Kumar follows the NBA and so do I and the statement about the league taken over by thugs is just simply not true. Yes there are some thugs, but there are some thugs in baseball or football or hockey or pretty much any sport that you can name(except maybe golf, but it sucks anyway).

For every thug anyone can name in the NBA im sure I could name 5-10 that arent that way.

Im not slamming 2Brave or anything, I just think he really is an outsider on this issue and cant really backup his opinions with much knowledge of the NBA or its players.

Having watched a number of sports and being of an older generation, I am just going to speak from what I have seen. Murph hit in on the head, to lump every player into the "thug" category is wrong, there will always be one or two bad apples in every group. It is those bad apples that give the NBA, NFL, MLB or whatever sport you want to name a bad name, what we don't hear is the good that these athletes are doing.

The media rather talk about, drag that person who has messed up through the mud and yet the guys who do the right things for the right reasons, never get the spot light. I think the media is partially to blame for the "thug" mentality we are seeing because they glamorize it. If they would mention it once and drop it, maybe the sports leagues wouldn't get this type of reputation.

It's also the type of crowd you hang with too. You surround yourself with the right people, you ain't going to be in the wrong situations but you get into a crowd that will give you a reputation that you are thug, you are fighting with cops, carrying guns and doing drugs all the time, then that is what we fans will think of you, the sports star.

Growing up, you hardly read about what a sports figure did wrong, now days, it is all we read about for days. Sports on the news and in the paper was, the scores, trades and about the game the night before. Now you got everything and anything being covered in the sports page and on Sportscenter.

That is my take on it, take it for what is worth, probably not much. Few people don't make everyone thugs.

Just mind your own business, OK? Thanks.

Hey, it's how I "feel." That's all that matters, right? Who cares about the facts. Who cares about what's so obviously the reality of the situation. I mean good grief, if you people aren't even able to see what's right in front of you, I don't know what else to say.

You understand, I hope, why I'm not taking this all that seriously.
