The NFL is overrun with thugs? I think you're putting yourself ina corner you dont want to be in.
And what corner is that? Please, do tell.
That the entire NFL (32x53 = 1696) is entirely thug because of what...3 people?? IF you want to be that ignorant and stupid, be my guest. But I dont think you should.

You can't deny the thuggish, criminal image both the NBA and NFL have taken on over the last several years. Dog fighting, murders, club shootings, brawls in the stands, and on and on and on. You tell me what it is.

Yea there were about 5 incidents at most, therefore the whole nba and nfl are full of thugs

lets say there were 15 incidents

thats 0.1%!!! thats the whole NFL get your stats right bro..

same with nba if .1% of nba have been proven they are thugs then the whole league is!!!

I dont get what you dont understand in that!

It's not just the crime or the "incidents;" it's the entire atmosphere. It's the attitude. The NFL isn't as bad, but the NBA is just run rampant with shady characters and gangster wanna-bes. In fact, it wasn't all that long ago when this was a hot topic among many sportswriters. Where the heck were you two? Living in caves? Are you still living caves? You two can call me ignorant all you want, but I'm not the one who refuses to see the obvious.

The blindness of liberals never ceases to amaze me...

edit: Both Jayson Whitlock and Michael Wilbon have covered this "Hip-hop culture" problem in the NFL and NBA. I realize that if you guys are so BLIND as to not see this simply by watching a few games, post-game interviews, or SportsCenter highlights then a couple of articles probably aren't going to open your eyes, either. But at least I tried.

Whitlock: NFL truth: Hip-hop culture hurting NFL

Wilbon: Hip-Hop Culture Contributes to NBA's Bad Rap

I guess Whitlock and Wilbon are both just "ignorant" as well.

First of all, I am not saying that Hip-Hop does not affect these players. But you are saying because hip-hop affects them everyone of them is a thug... Ofcourse there is a hip-hop problem, I think you are blind if you dont see that like you said. But you cant just go around saying everyone is a thug. And believe me I probably read more NBA articles in the last week than you have your whole life so I woudn't go there.

So your arguement is since the leagues are tied to hip-hop they are thugs? I like how you just deviated from your whole arguement.

And Michael Wilbon def tells the truth in that article. It is part of what attracts people to NFL and NBA though, I doubt just because Hip-Hop and NBA and NFl are related we have to consider every player a thug.

On the court and off the court there are more players than you can imagine that have done good for the community and have better values in life than you probably do.

i think you're misconstruing the word "atmosphere" to mean every single person.

atmosphere would mean the aura, or the general perception given off.

a "non-thug" would simply be the exception rather than the rule.

i dont think that every single person in the nba is a thug. i could be wrong, i dont really even follow the nba, but i think as a general "atmosphere", it's what the nba portrays.

well for the nba to give off a thuggish atmosphere, it would have to be the majority or at least seem as such, and thus "taken over".

taken over wouldnt every single player as much as it would mean the majority rule.
