This kid will be a criminal. The statement of the year..."Its fun to do bad things". I am with the grandmother on this one. I would love to whip his ass too and I am not even related to him. Better yet, I would be his ass until he couldn't sit down. His idea of punishment, NO VIDEO GAMES FOR THE WEEKEND. PUT HIS PUNK ASS IN THE FREAKIN' JUVENILE HALL FOR A WEEKEND. See how is little punk ass would feel after that. He will be the system before he is 16. Mark my words. I see it coming. Video games or not. |

You could have sex with a hooker and beat her to death with a baseball bat in Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Didn't make me go out and bang hookers and cause mayhem. If you're mind is too weak and feeble to tell fantasy from reality, stay in your bubble. |

I also love how anything not puppies, rainbows and Bach are immediately bashed by 2B. |

What can I say, I have standards. edit: By the way, I love how nite tries to paint me as some kind of prude extremist for bashing such edifying things like songs entitled "Mo Money, Mo Murder" and video games which promote violence and disrespect towards women -- as if objecting to such things is so unreasonable. Excuse me. |

I have standards too. Doesn't mean I dont enjoy all things in life. I get told I dont "respect" women because i go to a strip club for my bachelor party. AS for your music, dont you mean quantifying anything not classical as "not real music"? |

This assumes that one SHOULD take enjoyment in ALL things in life. But that's an entirely different discussion...
I said that mostly in jest, though there is a lot of truth to it. Obviously I don't think that all contemporary music is evil or unworthy, as I listen to (some of) it myself. But compared to the beauty and unmeasurable brilliance that went into the best classical music of the Renaissance age, the crap we call music today is simply that: crap. And I'm sorry, but there's just nothing redeeming or edifying about "Mo Money, Mo Murder." Nothing. |

Ugh. We've already been through this discussion before. I'm sure you all already know my opinion, and I'm once again not sure that having this discussion is even worth it. |

Agree 10000000% Nite. If a kids parents cant raise their child to realize the difference between video games, music, tv and movies versus real life then its their own fault. Parents in this country gotta start paying more attention to their kids. Being a parent isnt a right, its a responsibility, and one that many people take much too lightly. Ill get off my soapbox now, sorry. |
