Toshima (豊島区)
Population: 252.000 (19.400 per sqaure kilometre)
About 6% of the populace have foreign origins and since the 70s the population number has steadily decreased.
The centre for entertainment and shopping is called Sunshine City which sounds awfully gay.
A rather new building in the ward is the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space which hosts a concert hall where concerts and art exhibits are regularly held. Outside the building is an open stage where local bands often perform during the summer months.
Sugamo Jizodori is the shopping district unofficially known as old ladies' Harajuku.
