Hey guys..for those who are a fan of the drama It Started With A Kiss aired 2 years back, this is the continuation. I've only watched the first episode with subs but currently its airing in Taiwan, the 5th episode. I think the starting was already good but i hope it won't be too draggy like the first one though..what do you guys think..please do share your view..those who have watch more, don't forget to reduce the spoilers ne~ |

I never got through the first series. I am currently on episode 20 of 30. It just seems so dang long, and the same thing happens over and over again. I found it personally very frustrating, and would have bashed in Joe Cheng's character's head in the first episode. LOL I just find it so degrading for young girls to see a role model like the one that Ariel Lin plays. I know I will get major flames for saying this, b/c it's a well loved series, but I personally never got it. I've re-started it time and time again but just can't seem to complete it. It's so frustrating to see how masochistic this girl is, and how arrogant the male is! A good female protagonist needs to be strong and take no bull... like Tsukushi Makino! If I ever get through the first series, I might give this one a shot. |

I'm with ya kat. i was surprised that i even got through the first series. i've heard a lot of people say that this is one of their favorite series but i personally don't see it that way. i swear through most of the series i wanted to hit Joe Cheng's character over the head with a shovel for being such an arrogant jerk and strangle Ariel Lin's character for being so pathetically ditsy. Personally i'm scared to try the new series for fear of it being as mind numbingly long and frustrating as the first one. |

Disagree with both of you guys There are different people with different personalities around, and you shouldn't judge them only because they are different or didn't meet your high expectations. Ariel's character may be pathetic and ditsy and clumsy, and outright dumb, but it doesn't mean she can't fall in love with someone million times smarter and better in everything. Wouldn't you agree that being that bad, she still had guts to go after him, and was persistent enough to get the guy at the end... And since you despise her that much, why do you want to strangle the Joe Chen's character? Don't you see - he did the same thing - hated her, terrorized her, teased her, tried to ditch her... ...only at the very end realized that can't live without her any more... Personally I would never relate to either of these characters, but overall I found that drama entertaining. (Except the last episode - I didn't get the whole wedding thing... )I'd give the part-2 a try, hopefully it wouldn't be a failure like MG-2... Oh, and by the way, Tsukushi Makino isn't ideal girl either... It took her forever to figure out who she really in love with...

Actually, I'm with most of you about ISWAK, the first series. I found both Joe's and Ariel's characters incredibly irritating although there was some very sweet moments. It was still a chore to finish it though, and I had to skip some parts, which I don't think was very important. Nonetheless, I am enjoying TKA a lot more than ISWAK. A lot has to do with the fact that the couple is finally together and there's no more 1000000 obstacles to get through nor the 1000000 ways for XQ to screw up, (though she still does but Joe's character is a lot more understanding). Marriage life as a concept is refreshing...most, if not all serials concentrate on the wooing. Their chemistry has improved leaps and bounds and I'm now really rooting for the couple. TKA also has a wider range of characters, with Danson Tang, Figaro Zeng coming in to fill roles. Arron as Ah Bu, is also given a bigger role. In essence, it's very interesting to see all these side stories being played out. So yeah, do give TKA a try even if you guys didn't finish ISWAK. Edited by Windward, Jan 21 2008, 06:51 PM.

Oh no! some1 here mentioned that MG-2 was not good? MG2 was good, maybe not as good as MG1 but it was good!!! Well i do agree with some of you on ISWAK1, but I managed to get through it and I laughed a lot through the drama, so I wouldnt exactly say that it sucked, but its not the best either. |

haha sorry nnt but that's kind of the sad truth to a lot of people. it was actually the reason the producers of hana kimi TW decided not to make a sequel... cuz he was afraid of it being a flop like MG2. i actually wouldn't know though cuz i never watched MG2. i watched MG1 but i never actually got around to MG2. |

maybe as a stand-alone drama it wasn't that bad, I liked some of the "side stories", like the part where Makino loses her wallet and gets to live with these brother and sister family in a small village , and Rui comes to her "rescue" was very sweet, or the Mei Zuo's love story, but I don't think it is a good continuation to MG. The main character's personalities change so much, they lose all their spark, and the scene when they're watching "shooting stars" and all that "fate" crap is totally set me off. Sorry if I've spoiled somebody's mood. Oops - we're now officially off-topic Windward, thanks for the tip. Now I'm intrigued, so I'll definitely watch TKA as soon as it gets subbed

Hmm... I didn't like TKA much at the beginning (twas slooow), but once the new characters came in, it got better. It's funny how many of the newer and more famous actors/actresses in Taiwan are all in TKA. |

maybe its kind of late to answer this, but ill do it! sry for off-topic! Anyway, sad truth?? not really, because I think it was good, and hana kimi ended so fast, i thought at least her Ident was going to be revealed to the other. Jiro thinks he is still gay in the drama, lol!! So i think they should make a sequel. But still whatever you guys say, I still think MG2 was great to watch, i enjoyed it a lot. I think u should watch it Kim! :D @Raspberry: "The main character's personalities change so much, they lose all their spark," I dont rly think so, jerry losing his memory is maybe thats why u said personality change :P But I think i know why you guys say that it wasnt good. I was sort of irritated too when I saw it. I was irritated because he forgot barbie and it was like no more "sparks" between them, and the new girl joined in and so on. I was like cheering for barbie to go go go! but its good, i still liked it!! |
