~Slytherin Prince~

Draco stood at a window on the fifth floor, looking out into the darkness. This night he couldn't sleep, but he wasn't sure why. He had this feeling, however, that something was going to happen. He wasn't sure why or how, but ever since he'd been stuck alone in this place for that week, he seemed to know - no, feel - when things were going to happen. He could look at the clouds and see when a storm was coming. He could feel in the air when something was going to happen, just as he did tonight. It was keeping him from sleeping which didn't make him happy. He stood, his hair ruffled around his face as he watched out the window. He wore a long-sleeved silver shirt and black pants. The night seemed chilly to him, although he wasn't sure if it was the temperature or his fear. Draco had left the common room a few hours ago telling his friends that he wanted some time to think by himself. He had spoken truth, the feeling about something going to happen unnerving him. He could tell they were worried about him, but he had left them, anyway. Now that he was standing next to the window, he actually felt better. And then his eyes widened in shock. There was a line of torches wondering in through where the creatures usually came. The creatures stayed away, he guessed because of the torches. He watched in awe as about ten people followed someone into the grounds. He watched as they set up a huge tent and a fence around it that they placed their torches on. He watched as they all slipped into the huge tent, leaving no one outside. Draco watched the tent for a little while longer, his mind barely registering that it would be light soon. Once it was light they could go find out who these people were without the creatures attacking them. He swallowed, the real thought on his mind that there were other survivors besides just them. He took a deep breath. Once he was sure the huge tent and those inside weren't going to disappear, Draco turned and started racing down the halls. "There are people here! People from the world!" He yelled as he tried to wake everyone up. "Wake up! There are people outside!" He yelled having gone upstairs to wake anyone up there. He raced down the halls of each floor, screaming about the people who had showed up. Once Draco had yelled the news in the dungeons and outside the common room - he was too excited to go into the common room - he found himself at the large oak doors. He had swung one open and was watching the huge tent. The creatures outside were watching him, but they wouldn't dare go near the castle so he didn't bother paying any attention to them. He wanted to go to the tent and find out who those people were, but he knew it was too dangerous. He glanced at the mountains. It would be another half an hour to an hour before it would be safe enough for them to go to the tent. He stood there, staring at what he hoped would be a good thing in their future. |

Veronica had woken up from the couch she fell asleep on in the common room. She didn't know why, but, it just felt more comforting to sleep there than in her lonely room. Maybe because it was open, and she felt that if she just fell asleep, maybe she'd wake up to the slytherins hustle and bustle all around her, and everything would be back to normal. Apparently, this wasn't going to happen tonight though, because she was woken up by what sounded like a very frazzled Draco. She jumped up from the couch and quickly ran to her room, changing into a pair of jeans and a long sleeved black shirt so that she wouldn't be cold. She slipped on her converse and ran to find Cynder, hoping she had woke up too. When she found her, she sighed in relief. "Come on Cyn, Drays yelling about something." She said as she headed out through the common room door, not waiting to make sure her friend was following. When he was yelling, it had sounded like he said something about people being here, and that thought excited her and scared the crap out of her. She found Draco by the big oak doors, and once she got to him she bent over to catch her breath. "Dray, whats going on, who's here?" She asked in a slightly panicked voice that she was trying to make sound calm. She had straightened back up and looked around when she saw it, the huge tent. "Merlin, what is that? Do you know how many people are in it? Do you know who they are?" She couldn't help it, the new sight had made her start asking questions like crazy. "Do you think it'll be safe to try and talk to them in the morning?" She asked, knowing they couldn't go out there while it was still night. Her last experience with that wasn't exactly a good one. |

Evangelina Moussa's breath was quiet and deep. There were times in her sleep where it sounded as if the Hufflepuff had completely stopped breathing in the silence of the night. She was having quite the dream-- it rotated primarily on Evan beating the lights out of Cynder, and then Veronica for trying to defend her, Evan sleeping with Draco, getting her friendship rejected from Stella, and calling Ares homosexual. Evan continued forth on her journey to becoming the Tri-Wizard Champion, preparing to battle a dragon when they found her dragon completely slain. The blood burned her face when she tripped in it. It made her face resemble that of a burnt egg. "Wake up!" Evanglina had fallen asleep on one of the couches of her common room like many of the other students that night. She had an intense few days, so the girl couldn't help but pass out in the nearest comfortable area. Hearing Malfoy's voice shouting only made the blonde wince, groan, and turn over on her spot on the couch. It was odd that she awoke to the snake's voice, and it would have made her gag if she didn't otherwise enjoy it. But before long, Evan's mind quickly slipped away again into her subconscious. It was a brief dialogue between her and Malfoy, meaningful and very soap-opera esque. Had she been awake at the time, it would have been awkward and incredibly nauseating; however, dreams simply made no sense, and for a comedic effect, things played out oddly for Evan. "Evangelina, my lovely dove, never leave me." "I won't, dearest Draco." "But I must tell you one thing, Evangelina..." "What is that, love?" "There are people outside!" At that, Evangelina Moussa sat upright so quickly her long, blonde hair flipped over and smacked her in the face. "Augh." She muttered bitterly through her drowsy teeth. Clumsily, Evan pushed herself off the couch and ran haphazardly out the room, following the yells and footsteps of the Slytherin. The scenery spun by her like she was still dreaming. Finally stumbling into the room where Draco, now Veronica and Cynder stood, Evan began to feel much more than a little uncomfortable. The urge was resisted to scream out how Evan didn't sleep with Malfoy and it was all just a plan for the two to run away to Spain together. Then, Evangelina hurried out of the room and to a brilliant hole in the wall and vomited outside the castle. Alcohol was never great to her, and that mixed with her running exercise while being half asleep did nothing to help. This was why she hardly drank. Walking back into the room, Evan ran a hand through her messy hair. Honey eyes caught sight of what everyone had been oogling at in the first place. Commotion outside. Running towards the large window, Evangelina tripped right over Malfoy's foot. Her hands awkwardly fumbled as she tried to catch herself. She latched onto his silver shirt although moreso around his waist, pulling herself up, meeting the snake face to face, blues against browns. For a moment, Evan allowed the recent events to register. And once they did, her eyes shot open wide, she immediately grinned and stepped back. "Hah, oops." She muttered beneath her breath. At least she was wide awake, now. Throwing the possible dangerous situation behind her, Evangelina turned towards the window. "Are those... are those people?" ooc| Sorry it's a freaking novel! One professor Chloe Way sat up and rubbed her head. “Ugh—what happened last night? Must’ve really tied one on, because I have a heck of a headache,” she said, mostly to herself. She stared at the spot on her desk where she had drooled, and made a face. Pulling out her wand, she did a cleaning spell on her robes and the desk, before standing. Which caused her to have to immediately grab her desk for support, because her legs were wobbly. Now Chloe remembered. In an attempt to forget about the curse, she had been drinking some gin and juice while grading her students’ papers on the most common location of werewolves. It was rather sad, really—half of her 4th years didn’t seem to even know hardly what a werewolf was, let alone where to find them. Then I must have passed out. Shakily, she released the desk and looked down. Her wand had clattered to the floor, so Chloe reached down and grabbed it before pocketing it. As she yawned and stretched, she heard Mr. Draco Malfoy running through the halls, yelling about people outside. With a curse, she headed out of her office and to the large window, her navy blue robes flying out behind her. She stopped short as she reached the small group of students and inquired, “Mr. Malfoy, what’s all the—oh dear Merlin. Who or what are those?” Edited by Chloe Way, Jan 24 2010, 08:33 PM.

Head Girl & Death Eater

Cynder sat up and yawned. She had fallen asleep in her bed somehow, although she didn’t remember going up to her dormitory. Her dorm was, after all, the Head Girl’s dorm, and only those whose names she spoke under the charm could access her room, excluding professors. They could go anywhere in the school. As she heard her name being called, she opened her eyes to see Veronica in her doorway. “Okay, okay. I’m coming,” she replied with a laugh. Standing up, she did a quick cleaning spell on her clothes, pulled on her Slytherin robes from where she’d tossed them on the floor the night before, and quickly re-pinned her badge to her robes, right below the Slytherin crest. Then Cynder pulled on her dragonskin boots, zipped them up, and headed out. When she reached the top of the stairs leading to the dungeons, she ran to the open door and nodded. “It would appear so, Moussa.” Turning to Draco, she inquired, “Dray, I assume this is what you were carrying on about?” When she heard Professor Chloe’s voice, she spun around and shrugged, but said nothing, as the DADA professor was speaking to Dray. |

Quidditch captain & Seeker

Harry sat up and groaned, rubbing at his eyes and summoning his glasses. He was in his pjs, and had been having a rather nice dream about him and Ginny, working together as a team to win the Quidditch Cup. Then she’d been so happy that she’d kissed him, and he her. One thing had led to another and—but there was no time for that now, he told himself. Apparently, Malfoy had finally gone completely mental, because he was running around the castle like a complete lunatic, waking everybody up and shouting about people outside. He snorted as he reached for his clothes. “Right—the stress has finally gotten to him,” Harry told himself, speaking of the blond Slytherin prefect. As he finally finished dressing himself, he glanced in a mirror while running a brush through his untamable hair. Not that it would make a difference, but at least he tried to tame it. Harry glanced at his outfit to make sure there were no stains or rips. Nope, none, except for ones he had placed it his jacket and jeans. Harry was wearing a blood-red hoodie, with a black dragon on the front of it, and a smaller one down the left arm. His faded black jeans had holes at the knees, which he had artfully placed there. His black Converse trainers had matching blood-red laces, (the fat kind), and were all black. He nodded to himself and ran downstairs, following the sound of the chatter. When he reached the now-rather crowded window, he stood on his tippy-toes to peer out. He only saw a tent, but no people. Oy, this is probably his idea of a joke, he thought. Draco cleared his throat as the group was assembling. He had helped Moussa up, saying something about "That's what I had been yelling!" in a rather nasty voice. Then he had sighed an murmured "Bad night." In a sort of apology before he flashed the girl a smile, a twinkle in his eye. He had turned back to looking at the tent, however as his hand reached for Ver's. "They arrived a little while ago. I saw about eleven file in, but more may have come while I was letting everyone know they were here. They all went inside that tent, but we can't go out there because of those creatures." He motioned to the things. Some of them were fighting while others were restlessly watching the group that were so near them. "We don't really know what they are, professor. But they are very dangerous." He glanced at Ver. His chest still bore the marks from when one had slashed through it a few nights ago. He swallowed. "One it becomes light in a little bit, the creatures will go away and we'll be able to go meet them. Those things don't like the night." He murmured as if he were talking to himself while he watched the tent. |

| Lyane Mistre | Jan 31 2010, 10:03 PM Post #8 |

Kneeling before the man gave her pleasure as he told her what to do. It was like she was no better than a dog that could do more things but was treated worse. "Yes, Malees." She murmured softly before she stood. She happened to glance up as one of the other females was moving in. She gave the girl a I'll-kill-you look. The girl gave a frightened squeak and changed the direction she had been heading. With a self-satisfied smile, she turned to head on her way, again. "Lyane! Where do you think you are going?" Came an admonishing voice. She spun around and fell to a knee before the female who led the people around her. Her mind reeled as she tried to think of what to say, her fear and excitement bubbling within her. She swallowed as if trying to contain her emotions so they wouldn't explode out of her. "Mistress," Lyane said in a breathy voice. "Malees has ordered me to go meet the group standing in the doors and find out who they are." She explained. "Go, then. Find us good ones. I shall use another." The woman replied sternly with a wave of her hand in dismissal. "Yes, Mistress." Lyane replied before she dared to stand. She turned and almost ran to the flap of the tent they used as a door. With a deep breath, she shrugged the flap out of her way and moved over to the fence. She placed her hands on either side of a torch and stared into the flames. Her name was Lyane Mistre. She didn't remember how long it had actually been since the destruction of Hogwarts had happened. She had been a seventh year. A Slytherin; something she was very proud of. Lyane had seen the message about the curse, but had just scoffed at it as if nothing could touch her without her letting it. Lyane had been marked the past summer as a Death Eater, but they mostly thought of her as amusement instead of a real Death Eater. Ly, as she was used to being called, had a desire to either piss everyone off, or to be used by them. Sometimes both. She had a way to know when she couldn't push it any further. Ly liked - no, desired - the punishments, the abuse, the use she was put through. Her world revolved around it. Many people didn't know it, but Ly would much rather be told hateful things than nice things. She smiled at the thought as her hand slid along the top of the fence to the base of the torch. She lifted it slowly as if it would blow out at any second. With a little huff that made the flame flicker, she swung a portion of the fence open and slipped from behind it's protection. She closed the gate with a resounding click before she turned to the castle. With an even yet quick stride, she crossed the small area between the fence and the castle. Ly was wearing a mid-thigh length green and black spaghetti strapped dress that had a low-cut front and no back to it. Her long brown hair flowed in waves down her back. Her eyes swept over the faces that were crowding the room to get a look at their tent. She lowered the torch so that she was holding it at waist-level. It brightened her face and made the dress over her breasts shimmer as she looked over the faces with her hazel eyes once more. "A hello to you all." She said softly, her expression carefully unreadable. She hated being back at Hogwarts after what had happened. "Such a shame that the nerd herd survived. But at least luscious Draco with his plights survived." She grinned in triumph as if she had just won something spectacular. "And Slytherin females to whore out the pleasures of life. Gee, Draco, I bet you've been keeping busy." She winked with a small, flitting laugh. Ly never did mix well with any crowd, especially one she knew so well even though she had only addressed Draco in her light, breathy tone. She had pretended to swoon as she had spoken of how busy he had to have been. She wondered out of curiosity why Malees had decided to send her. Perhaps he figured she would have better luck since she was from Hogwarts, anyway? She wasn't sure. The a thought came to her as she smiled with glee. Maybe they had sent her as a form of torture. They knew it was her home and she hated to see it destroyed like this, especially since she had been in these very walls when it had happened. A shiver cascaded through her body before she could suppress it. She took a deep calming breath as if the others weren't there. |
