Hi guys.
I was chattin to Shorty today on facebook about how I missed playing football and was looking to give it another shot with a local team. I'm a 38 year old firefighter from Southampton. I have 15 years experience as WR and TE , many of them alongside Toast at the Sundevils, before stopping a few years ago. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs.
I'm sure I've lost a step since the heydey but the hands are still sticky :)
Unfortunately I can't make the next two weeks because of the way my shifts fall, but maybe I can tag along to the Ipswich away game on 5th June?

Cheers,
Dave Fredericks (aka Freddy)

And by Ipswich you would have turned up to as many training sessions as Senart ;)

Still cracks me up that my missus thought you were called Toast because you had butter-fingers :)

You're dead to me Freddericks.

Your just jealous because when you have to pose for the annual fireman's callander they ask you to go and hide in the toilets until the photogropher has left!

And ... if you are any slower than 2002 you will have to run your patterns backwards!

Actually I volunteer to leave the room so as not to intimidate the other firemen during the photo shoot.

Pretty funny from the guy whose deepest pattern was a 1 yard buttonhook back then :)

I think while you were at the Sundevils the longest reception was 75 yards ... and you didn't have it hoseboy!

And as for intimidating the rest of the crew, it’s only because you get an erection when they take their tops off!

One thing in your favour Graham Thorpe said you were one of the best ball-handlers he has ever felt ;-)

When I read the first statement I thought 88 and yards was going to get mentioned...

I can't keep bragging about all my acheivements, how much time do you think I have?

Although to be fair, Freddy might be confusing my receiving prowess with my rushing failures. Then again, if I am running with the ball it meant Freddy was blocking ... enough said ;-)

Some nostalgia for the stat lovers. Watson you will particlularly enjoy the lofty 62.5% ... and for the record, my first ever completion was against the London Olympians!
