OOC: ok, you might have to raise the difficulty for the quest, I just felt like making a pretty strong team :)

IC: the Death Callers walked up to the edge of the ruins, it seemed that archaeologist was right about the ruins, but they had a strict no-survivor policy.

OOC-
It's beginner, compared to some of my later quests, which will eventually shock you. My 'Blaze Troop' would have trouble, out here, but look at the prizes!

IC-
Loud noises could be heard from inside. Hissing, shuffling, screeching... wasn't this area abandoned? Perhaps not...

OOC: so by that logic expert would be in the scale of... your group has to take out an entire heavily defended city and accompanying horde of dragons within an hour or the world implodes... or something like that

IC:
"Continue" commanded Marvok not stopping his trot
The dwarf took the lead "whatever's making those noises has a death wish if it makes itself know to us" said Arnor
"Fine, it's not like I've got a choice" said Elor reluctantly moving towards the entrance to the ruins.
Glotton leaped onto a rock "I'm gunna eat them" and eagerly ran around the ruins before re-joining the group
"And so it begins" said Flaye following the rest of the group

OOC-
It's abandoned, but dwarven machinery, like automatic weapons, can last for thousands of years. If you think that's what you'll face, your unprepared. Still, heres a hint: Krakens & Golemns.

IC-
A massive, stone gate sunk into the ground, revealing what appears to be the remains of an abandoned city.

As you walk in, the noises seem to stop, and a tall, hairy figure runs into an old celler.

A large section of the ground appears... out of place....

The worm is unable to follow, underground, anyway. It seems that these walls strech beneath the ancient city, to prevent anything digging in or out.

There is a dusty, old book, on the ground.

"Sherman, recon" said the dwarf. The bird soared above the ancient city looking for anything of intrest.

Elor picked up the book, and began reading while Glotton started climbing up buildings and looking for something.

From above, even with its yesight, it appeared to be nothing more than an old ruins. But then, who was that figure, and what were those noises.

The book was titled: A Bandit's Curse Inside, the first page was handwritten, and so read:

There are two successful experiments of the high elves, but they are seldom, if ever, seen together.

The first is the mighty lycan, and its successor, the Koyote.

Second is a creature only recently discovered, one that lives in solitary. Felies, also called felios, or felias, if they are female. They are humanoid felines, fur-covered and armed with long, stabbing fangs (Where lycans have ripping canines), and deadly, retractable claws.

Their bones are hollow, and their fur sucks in air to them, to keep them lightweight, and extremely swift. Unlike lycans, they are completely carnivorous, and have a constant urge to hunt, or at least kill.

They are rarely seen together, some age-old rivalry giving them a desire to kill each other on sight.

However, when they do work together, they are an absolutely blood-chilling power.

It ended with a cryptic message.

The wolf will crush you, overpower you,
The cat will shred you, cut you to ribbons
...

It trailed off, and the page was bloodstained. It appears the writer's life was cut short.

"Sherman, survelance" said the dwarf, as the bird had no abbility to fight he would stay above the city and report if he saw anything. (Just thought I'd mention Sorgans are about as fast as horse, although sand ones are slightly slower.) The group ingnored the figure for now and went to the strange area of ground (near it not on it.)

OOC-
Be prepared to make a difficult choice.

IC-
The ground there seemed to float up, shaking sand off, to reveal a dusty old square of brick road.

It was lifted by a mechanical limb, with two joints. In the point where the arm connected to the block, a strange protrusion could be seen, that almost looked like a crossbow. A click was heard. It turned firing an arrow, that missed Marvok by a hair, burrying itself in the sand.

It clicked again, ready to fire....

everyone jumped behind a nearby corner, Flaye began preparing to melt the crossbow.
"I could just rip it off!"
"shut up Arnor, I've got it covered"

However, when they were out of sight, it receeded back into the ground.

Marvok looked around the corner. "Ok I've got a plan, Flaye, how muck longer on that spell?"
"about ten seconds"
"ok, everyone wait here"
Marvok counted to ten and began running around the platform to make it rise and as soon as it rose Flaye would melt the bow.

It rose up, pitifully spitting out a half-melted arrow, that landed on its side, in the sand. The machine welded together, and the platform sank back down.

The light of a nearby building came on, probably candle light, and a strange figure could be seen clawing at something. It clearly wasn't human. Some laughing could then be heard.

Glotton began scaling the walls while Arnor gave everyone a crossbow with special ammunition. Except Marvok who looked for a door.

It seemed the only door was a celler entrance. As far as Marvok could tell, someone was singing, inside.

Doodle dum rye ae!
Deedle do ray mae!
Sing, beetle-bug, sing,
doodle-gum-ba-ya!

On the walls, there was only one window, and it was boarded with sandstone slabs.
