I finally got this book the other day, and it sickens me. I know a lot of people have said this book is a lot better than Sunrise, but in my opinion, it's not. It's plain boring. This thing where cats go on quests is getting really, really old, and this particular quest is just as mundane and dull as the one in Sunrise. Dovepaw is a flat, boring character, Lionblaze is....Lionblaze, and Jayfeather seems to be the only cat who has matured. (But he's still lame) Leafpool has totally lost all my respect, Cinderheart is still 2-D, and I really don't care about Berrynose not loving Poppyfrost. Have I already mentioned that it's really boring? For all you Warrior's fans who have considered not reading it, I would do just that. Trust me, you're not missing anything. And please, don't even consider buying it, it's most definitely not worth it. Edited by Streamfall, Jan 24 2010, 03:21 AM.

I thought it was a good book but I agree that it was just a space filler |

Greater than Starclan

The entire POV was supposed to be filler for OOTS, which was going to be great. That was the dream. But I guess this just continues the disappointment. |

The quest was really boring, but i mean it wasnt as bad as the others. Jayfeather was really the only one who matured. It wasnt great, but it was ok, IMO. |

I finally just finished reading it. (It took me a week 'cause I got so bored) I think I can now safely predict that the whole series is just going to create tension for the Dark Forest battle, then in the sixth one they have the battle (I can guess who wins). Then the Erin's will write a whole new series about Lionblaze's kits and all the mysterious prophecies THEY have to figure out. After that series they'll write one about Lionblaze's grandchildren and all the ways they save Thunderclan, and it will go on and on and on and on and on...... Hopefully my theory turns out to be incorrect, but still.... |

And I disagree. First, the journey.it was boring??Am I hearing you right? Wouldn't you agree it would be so much more boring if they just stayed at the forest battleing each other? The plot was very interesting, with the clan cats learning to coooperate with each other rather than mindlessly fighting. The beavers themselves were original and the humans introducing them was realistic.Just becuase it's been done before doesn't mean it's bad. The journey is what saved the book. Now,the character development.I don't care to much for Dovepaw, but Lionblaze is finnally starting to have character and he's funny. Jayfeather was the one who didn't mature. He learned the danger of keeping secrets like Leafpools yet he expects Dovepaw to keep a secret from her sister. truly hope he lightens up. About the Berrynose plot,it was crazy. But didn't some fool say they mated by accident/That is completely not true.Overall, this book is a improvement. |

Isn't that what they did in the first series? The first series that was awesome? Journey's tend to suck, the only good one was Firestar's Quest. |

I LIKED it when they fought each other all the time. Not to be rude, but there is absolutely nothing cool about the clans getting along with each other. It was done for the Great Journey, and that's more than enough for me. It was fun reading the first series because the clans were always hostile, and you never knew which clan would attack which. |

Granted, the first series was great.Granted, the battles were cool. But it can get repitative.I would stop reading warriors right now if the battles were all that happened. In a series with that many books,I expect the characters to develop, and to have new enemies(not just Shadowclan). I think it's better when they cooroperate. In the first series even they worked together to defeat a new enemy. Now,would you really be content with the rest of the warrior books being just skirmishes ofer land with River and Shadow? |

Actually, the way the Erin's have been writing lately, I would have to answer yes. And the first series didn't just consist of border skirmishes. Remember the epic Bloodclan battle? (Which is matched by no other) |
