I made this in the middle of May but couldn't take it home till like June because of our school's art show.

But yeah, the topic was "personal vision" and it had to be from oil paint:

I like the area around the shark more than the shark itself. The shark doesn't look quite right, but it's an okay piece nonetheless. The surrounding area helps the shark from looking as silly.

Momentai.
that is nice
I like the shark and the water a lot

some words of advice,
don't go around the subject like you did with the different shades of water around the shark, just let it go through. I know it's harder, but the end result is always better.
Also, the bottom portion looks like it's done in an entirely different style (lack of detail/shades, blunt changes in colour) altho it really just looks like you started rushing to finish that part

great work tho
also, oil paints are a bitch, so I applaud you

the shark looks like it's lived through centuries of suffering and has come out a different animal than it once was

it's pretty good

yeah making the water around the shark was probably the hardest thing to do

the environment is suppose to be different styles of sea vegetation and etc but i can see what you mean

fuck oils but it's worth it in the end lol
