Die a Hero, or Live and be Forgotten?

Momentai.
would you rather die right now, and forever be known as a hero, or die through normal aging but have your name be forgotten forever?

I'd personally die through aging and be forgotten, because the way I see it, it doesn't really matter if I'm recognized if I'm already dead.
But I dunno, I've asked a lot of people and most would prefer to die a hero.

What do ya think?

Well what did I die a hero over? Like what did I do to become a hero?

You didn't have to do anything, but just assume you're being recognized for being an amazing person, be it for whatever you want.

Momentai.
I would agree with you guys too.

The only appealing thing I see in option 1, is the preservation of your family and so forth, through paving the way for your children. And of course this is desirable for most living things so I see why some might prefer it.

what if your accomplishments motivated them to be better people
what if your achievements discourage them and make them feel like they'll always be in your shadow

I don't care either way, it doesn't affect my success.
