Disney doesn't have creative rights for Marvel though, and Avengers was already in production before they bought it.

But still, I don't see why Disney getting Star Wars is such a big fucking deal. I can't remember any Disney film that was really that bad, at least not off the top of my head.

the franchise of star wars revolved around darth vaders evolution. since hes dead they're gunna have to start something completely new thats going to enrage the original star wars fanbase. of course the people who werent around when star wars first came out will just wonder why everyones so pissed off.

the reason why they're going to have to start a completely new storyline is because the old actors from the last movie(that came out in the 70's) are old men now. sure obi wan was an old man in the 4th movie but that was necessary for the storyline, the writers had something to go on like anakin skywalkers(darth vaders) kids. this time they have no leads, just a start from scratch which in my opinion will be a skid mark on the quality of the franchise itself.

honestly its gunna be the way halo is going right now with bungie selling halo, cept bungie was under contract, LOL

When you say "of course the people who werent around when star wars first came out will wonder why everyone is so pissed off" are you referring to me? If so, that's not why. I like Star Wars [not a huge fan or anything], but it really seems like people are upset for no reason.

From the rest of what you said, it really just seems like Star Wars fans are afraid of something new. And I can understand why they'd be skeptical about it, I guess, but it seems like everyones making a bigger deal about it than it should be. It's not like Disney has some track-record as being known for shitty movies.

you don't get It, It doesn't need new movies. Star Wars has already thousands of spin-offs: games, animations, animated movies, comic books, everything. It does not need new episodes.
Maybe It won't be bad at all, but Its just not needed at all.
