After reading that bit about a global flood, I'm gonna go slightly off topic and discuss something that actually happened rather recently. My old drill instructor for marching band actually posted this a few days ago.

"Scientists baffled by the discovery of 80+ whale fossils found in a Chilean desert.... hmmm... if there only was a time in history when water covered the Earth...like.. I don't know.. if the whole Earth had a flood or something...covering it with water...rain for 40days... 150days until the flood waters receded... if. I . could. just. put. my. finger. on. it."

Just something to think about. ;)
I read that article as well, and there's one flaw for using it as evidence for the great flood:
The whales had all died right next to each other. Surely if the entire Earth were flooded at the time, this would be an extremely unlikely occurrence, wouldn't it?
It should lead you to think the water was probably rather shallow, hence why they all died.
Again, I'm not against the big picture, but you have to be careful when choosing your evidence.
I have no idea what kind of whale or anything about what wolfen said because I didn't look into it at all, but some whales are known to stay together in groups, or whatever a group of whales is called. Plus, I never really thought water being were deserts are now proved a global flood, I mean it's common knowledge the Earth changes its environment now and then.

So magnum thinks Christianity is the best religion?
"Now that I've covered a few of the sciences, let's move onto Christianity and why it's the best choice."

Yes. Why?
That's a pretty strong judgement there. Sure, it's a great religion, but what you think is the best might not be what others think. Now, I don't know much about Christianity, or Hinduism for that matter. But every religion has its faults, no one religion is better than the other.
It is biased on his opinion, but apparently he thinks Christianity is the best religion because it "makes sense". I think.
Religion in general says every other religion is false. Obviously, there are 3 options. Either all of them are true (ridiculous), none of them are true (atheism), or one of them is true (yes.) You say I'm biased, please point out my bias in terms of the evidence I provided. Sarch also said each religion has its faults, please point out any fault in Christianity you can find.
I dunno if I'm being ignorant of the matter here, but is it acceptable to say that any faults that you see with Judaism would be faults with Christianity?

Any faults with Judaism would also apply to Christianity, yes. Please, point some out.

Momentai.
As for Wolfen's post regarding the whales.

We can't be so absentminded and just relate it to Bible stories right away.
There are so many possible reasons for that.

Surreal, thank you so much for clarifying all these things up. While I am indeed Catholic, I simply do not know such a vast number of details about the bible and have not thoroughly studied Christian/Catholic beliefs enough. Because of that, I pretty much stopped trying to debate with all the people on the forum, as my arguments weren't backed up enough or lacked ultimate logic :-/ . You have really done a phenomenal job with this, so know that I (and likely wolfen) truly appreciate this.

Why thank you, smash smash smashbrawling brawler smashbrawler. Just like I've been saying to everyone else, there's so much information that I could literally write a book on it (some people do), so if you have any questions regarding anything with either science or Christianity in general, feel free to post here, PM, or just randomly check the Xat to see if I'm there.
