Or you could, you know, actually learn a language. |

Really? No way! I know that. I was saying, that it's a hindrance that it's so complicated. But, then again, I imagine it's the same thing when one is younger and they are learning to speak/write/read. It's probably why it's better to learn a foreign language when you're younger rather than older. |

I think that learning the structure of a language is easy, it's memorizing the words that makes it hard. I did well in Japanese for almost every area except vocabulary. |

For me, the hard part was trying to remember how to say sentences. The vocab and some phrases, I can do. I know that Je ne sais pas means I don't know. And that sud is South. and Death is mort. And some of the numbers. I feel like I should take some more French classes. |

I also have trouble reading katakana (for transcribing foreign words and names - アイウエオ), but I can read hiragana (for writing words in general - あいうえお) perfectly. |

Hey, it's understandable. I think my brain would explode even attempting that. |

...............no, I'm from Western Canada. Apparently I have a Quebecois accent, though, and am therefore told to only speak English if I'm ever in France. |
