No-one has ever dealt with this point - raiding existed in the days when griefing was punishable with mod deletion. In fact, people raided there far more than they do now - even taking into account the decline in NS. So why would restrictions on griefing now kill off raiding? |

I'm glad it's locked, I had some nasty things waiting for some of those extreme flamers... |

Mine was for an IC post. I TGed Joshuahood to explain to him that nothing was meant by it. I don't mind getting warned but this time I was just goofing around. |

So I could have flamed all those people going on about raiders as long as I put "IC:" before it? that sounds a little stupid to me. |

Well you have to be more subtle than I was was. I had my character challenge him to invade the Pleiades (an absurd thing, since we have a founder), he replied (rightly) that it was absurd, my character called him a pussy. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to dress it up as a "proper" IC post. It was supposed to be funny though. |

Anyway, I feel bad about it. It was supposed to come across as funny, not hateful. |

When was the last time a thread about a WA proposal was locked? Has it even ever happened? Haven are so brazenly elitist that they just couldn't resist flaming and trolling, the number of times they have spoken out against the mods in the thread about Liberations is incredible. Sedge, my belief is that it's not just region refounding that is being discouraged, raiding in general is being made harder and harder. If this continues, it will be less and less prevalent and the natural cycle of regions falling into decay but being revived by raiders will cease, causing a lull in activity. |

Raiding ≠ region destruction. I don't see how liberations, which only target region destruction, affect other forms of raiding. |

I think a lot of the uneasiness regarding liberations is because they can be used to target raiding in general and they can also be used to target innocent regions that just want to be left alone. You might only use them to target region destruction, but others could use them for all sorts of nefarious purposes. |
