So, unless this is deleted, it will be at vote in ten minutes. I'm not really partial to either position on this resolution, I'll probably vote for. I'm Co-Author because I helped out the guy on formatting. He seemed in a real hurry to get it to vote, which with liberations is excusable. After he gave me co-author status I sort of felt obligated to help him campaign a bit because I hadn't really done anything to deserve it (and asking to be taken off the resolution is tasteless :D). I couldn't contact too many delegates on my laptop though, and it was like 3 in the morning for me. Edited by unibot, Dec 28 2009, 05:00 PM.

I don't really like the way its written, especially as its supposed to be "preventative" proposal, not "preventive". I can understand writing a proposal in case they password the region - especially as thats standard practice for New Earth, but there's no need to combat every raid with one of these. Until it has native support, I'm going to avoid voting for this. |

Well, both (preventive and preventative) are right. Apart from that, I agree with Sedge. |

Well, thank you Kalibarr? *waves his cursor over the ban button* Anyway, the fact that we haven't seen native support doesn't surprise me. They're raiders, they're not going to support the Security Council for anything... they've been complaining about liberations for a good couple of months, they're not going to publicly change their opinion suddenly when they've been raided -- that would be quite unethical and hypocritical of them. It doesn't mean they don't need to be liberated. |

I would happily organise a defender liberation of the region to kick out New Earth, but both the FRA & 10000 Islands have been in there before, and its been made clear that we're not welcome. |

Wait. Land of the Liberals is a raider region? That has now itself been raided? And you want to liberate it?
