I think this resolution is gonna be approved and then repealed, stealing a lot of time to us. Also, the tag error is actually a good reason to not approve this one. |

She approved it herself... I mean, to hell with modesty and all, who gives a shit about that? |

Oh god, did she actually? If I do have a proposal commending me, will someone please remind me, while my ego is exploding, to not tastelessly approve my own commendation? Thank you. |

We could always try a telegram campaign against the proposal? Also, remember that some delegates have to act the way their region wishes - so if a member of TSP asked Fudgetopia to approve the proposal, she may have had to.

Oh wait, no I can't. I lobbied the proposer of that resolution. He had a pretty good quality repeal of SC#9 submitted which worried me, so I contacted him, and worked my magic. He's since deleted the proposal, and in turn, I'll be nice and keep endorsing his commendation. Politicking.... |

Most of us in the feeders have such a policy of endorsing proposals on request, in practice if not necessarily on paper. There is also the fact that people will be looking to Fudgetopia for affirmation that she actually wants it passed. If Fudge is smart (and she is) she probably won't comment on it very much, but it's safe to assume that she actually does want to be commended. For the record, I endorsed "Commend Kandarin" - albeit after its quorum was assured - because I had resolved to keep quiet about the resolution until/unless it passed and consequently didn't want to leave people with the impression that I was somehow opposed to it. I figured that was the reason Todd didn't withdraw his approval. I actually believe it's a good thing that you do that. It keeps the region democratic. Though (inevitably) the populace will sometimes deceive themselves. EDIT: I suppose it's also a beneficial aspect in feeder politics should you want the region to have your entire support.
There's a big difference between approving it before it reaches quorum and after it reaches quorum, though. Edited by A mean old man, Nov 28 2009, 03:21 AM.
