I have another idea! I played a game like this in college for an ice breaker and it was tons of fun, and I think we might be able to adapt it to the post. It's called the bigger or better game, but again, I think we might have to modify it. How you play the game is that you start with a Q-tip and a team of players. Each team has to try to get the biggest item they can by following this pattern. They knock on the door of someone in the neighborhood and tell those who answer the door that they will give them the q-tip for something bigger or better. The game I played we traded a q-tip for a can of food, the can of food for a vase, a vase for a fur coat, a fur coat for a mini fridge, and the mini fridge for a couch. We brought the couch back and thought we'd won, until someone brought a working full size fridge back to campus! Well, I am not sure if that will quite work here, but we could modify it. For one of the posts we could have a "bigger and better" game. Except instead of competing, we would just have to create something "bigger or better". For example, say I start the post and I send a collage to SilverWolf. She'd keep the collage and send a fanfic to shelma, shelma would keep the fanfic and send on something else. This would be a way for everyone to participate on a smaller scale (maybe during those busy times of the year). It would probably be best if we got a big group together for it, though! Modify it all you want- you won't hurt my feelings! It's just a brainstorm! |

That sounds like an incredibly awesome idea! Both the game and the post incorporation. ;) lol I think that if we did something like that, we would need a forum section just for that (which is entirely possible of course) and have everything planned out ahead of time. That way, if someone whose not particularily talented won't feel obligated to do something awesome. So to use your example, you post that you'll make a collage. Someone who can best it will post saying what they can best it with, and you send the collage to that person. Let's say it was me. I would poast saying I could best it alongw ith what i'm going to do and send you my address. You send me the colalge and I create whatever it is i'm going to do. Someone who can best that posts saying they can do that alon with what they are going to do and i send them whatever i've done and so on. Make any sense at all? |

| Makes perfect sense. You could also try to get things that you want that way, too! |

| I am thinking that it might take more than one month, just to allow for shipping and everything. Could we possibly use this as a countdown to season 3 perhaps in two months or so? |

Oh yeah, I wasn't thinkin we'd run this along with the Post itself. Just a fun aside. A countdown could be interesting ... How would we incorporate that? |

I am not sure. I am just thinking that it could be related somehow to waiting till season 3. Perhaps the "bigger and better" could be no limit to how many things you could get if you wanted. Example: I put up a brochure, you better it for a fanfic, I want the fanfic and better it with a photo collage, and someone else betters it with a work of art. You want the work of art and better it with something else. Season 3 starts in Oct, like the last one, right? So three or four months before, we could start this- it gives time for folks to think apart from the Post. Perhaps one of us could start it, just to get the ball rolling. We could start it earlier if there is interest, but this is just brainstorming for me! :) Perhaps we could bring the idea onto the main forums and direct them here for the game? |

| Awesome! I saw that! :) I am wondering if we should put down some ground rules through, too. If someone says they can best it but then doesn't send anything out for a while, what should we do? How long between posting you can best it and sending it out should we allow? What if we hit a dead stop or someone doesn't want to "best" someone else's work? How should we go about that? |
