Awesome movie, very different and very good.

Story: 9/10
A very original spin on the typical Alien Invasion story.

Acting: 7/10
Only realy one actor throughout the movie. He did a great job but I personally found him annoying.

Special Effects:
8/10
Realy well done, a perfect balance between visuals and acting/story is found and the effects themselves are great. Not overated eye candy with no substance like Avatar. However, closer to the end of the movie the focus does seem to shift towards constant action instead of the characters, it loses some of its balance.

Sound: 10/10
You simply can't find any fault with the sound in this film. Guns/Explosions sound very cool while the Alien speach is quite convincing. The music is very subtle.

Overall: 9/10
Everything Peter Jackson touches turns to gold it seems. If you haven't seen this movie I recommend that you go rent it naow!

My film of 2009.

Thoughts???

The documentary parts were pretty interesting too.
