(CNN) -- Entertainer Michael Jackson has died after being taken to a hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports including the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. CNN has not confirmed his death. A Los Angeles fire official told CNN that paramedics arrived at Michael Jackson's home after a 911 call. 1 of 2 Jackson, 50, had been in a coma at the hospital, sources told CNN. Brian Oxman, a Jackson family attorney, said he was told by brother Randy Jackson that Michael Jackson collapsed at his home in west Los Angeles, California, Thursday morning. Family members were told of the situation and were either at the hospital or en route, Oxman said. Fire Capt. Steve Ruda told CNN a 911 call came in from a west Los Angeles residence at 12:21 p.m. Ruda said Jackson was treated and transferred to the UCLA Medical Center. Asked specifics of the patient's condition, he said he could not discuss them because of federal privacy laws. The music icon from Gary, Indiana, is known as the "King of Pop." Jackson had many No. 1 hits and his "Thriller" is the best-selling album of all time. Jackson "as big as it gets" ยป Jackson is the seventh of nine children in a well-known musical family. He has three children, Prince Michael I, Paris and Prince Michael II. At the medical center, every entrance to the emergency room was blocked by security guards. Even hospital staffers were not permitted to enter. A few people stood inside the waiting area, some of them crying. A large crowd was also gathering outside the hospital, according to video footage. Outside Jackson's Bel Air home, police arrived on motorcycles. The road in front of the home was closed in an attempt to hold traffic back, but several people were gathered outside the home. source: CNN Worst news in a long time One of the greatest stars of all time and idol to many people and other artists May he rest in peace and swing with the guy upstairs And few clips to remember his greatness Thriller Beat It Smooth Criminal And we can't forget about his Moonwalk and other dance moves |

Was just about to make this thread myself. I'm fucking gutted. Jacko's music and stage moves were nothing short of genius. I Wasn't a huge fan of the man's offstage antics, but his loss is a big blow to music. This performance is incredible IMHO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07v6tB_OLR8 Always gave me goosebumps. Gives me them even more when I watch it now though, considering that its not just a 'Michael Jackson Live video' anymore. Its now part of the man's immortal legacy. RIP MJ. The Man, The Legend, The King Of Pop. |

Well musicly he was the actual King of pop. Not because he named himself that way like "The Boss" did. But because everyone else gave him the name. He's one of the very few artists everyone can name 1 song of that he likes. No matter what age, race or religion. So R.I.P. Mr Jackson. But sry Nick. In the back of my head it keeps creeping about his offstage performance and especially the last few interviews where he clearly says it's normal to be in a bed with someonelse his kids because this world needs more love. But part of me realy never wanted to believe it. He's clearly the prime example of how being a childstar fucks up your mind and perspective about anything. But today we should all just only think about the music. Besides, it's hard not to. Every radiostation keeps spinning those tracks and I bet MTV will be all MJ also. |

You're right hukk We don't know what he did with those kids, or even if he did anything He himself didn't have a childhood like everybody, so he wanted to be one again (Peter Pan syndrome, look it up) and never grow up Well and he has got alot of money so alot of people would take a chance on trying to sue his ass for it. In my eyes he's innocent until proven guilty Though he made some mistakes in life (everybody does those), it didn't make him less epic and awsome then he already was Well I can already tell you it pisses me off when you disrespect someone that died. They wouldn't find it funny when it was someone of their family getting laughed at |
